Can I just say that this group of DISers is the:

MOST AMAZING

MOST GENEROUS

MOST HEART WARMING

Group of DISers EVER!!!!

Supraman PMed me that Stateroom #5022 had just opened up today and he remembered (Lord only knows how) that my elderly ILs had gotten assigned an 11B down on deck 5 while we were assigned up on deck 7. He suggested we try to snatch it up and you know what?!?!

I emailed our INCREDIBLE TA, Dorothy at Dreams Unlimited and within 5 minutes she emailed back that SHE GOT IT FOR US!!!

Now my DS(5) can just walk a few yards to his Grammy and Pop's room whenever he wants and my dear ILs will be able to spend time with us without having to take the elevator every time.

SUPRAMAN - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Oh, and I guess that means FE GROUP 7 needs to change our stateroom from 7003 to 5022
I changed my list (single page for printing)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Av44qfU6-0BWdERHd0NoaGplQmRaQk15UW56SERGNFE#gid=1

I'm packed too.

JUST FOR THE FANTASY MV IN 5 1/2 DAYS THOUGH.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Me too!!! I figure just a repack when I get home...gads this is all coming so fast now. Linda - I priced air for the 4th of 4 ships this morning - my heart is still palpitating...over 330 for each of us!!! Gads. It will cost more than the cruise at this point - how does yours look?

I am so far behind on this thread! I was wondering if anyone had any info on renting a car when we get to Oahu? My husband's only request for this entire Hawaii trip is to see the beach of Waiamaia, and there are no excursions there. Anyone got any ideas??
I have cars rented with Alamo - they cost me less than any others. I tried the site someone listed, but my direct rental was still less.

I finished all my FE bags - came out to be 41 when it was all done for my group. I really don't know how you guys do everyone, I struggled with my 1 group. :worship: Now I'm looking at all of this wondering how I'm going to pack it all! :faint:
I try not to think about it...I am doing all the groups - 98 FE gifts in all - the delivery is more taxing I think. I take them in carryon but have done it in checked (not fun!) The FE for the Fantasy at least can be split between 2 people (68 for that one). My personal largest number was when I gave to every person last spring - over 600 total - I did the wrist bands for each of THREE cruises (I was B2B2B) and had to carry them all...20+ pounds in my carryon. TSA thought I was a vendor or nuts!

I like the name idea - mine is Cayla and my DST is Miz Rainbow. She is pretty well traveled, but looking forward to being out west again. She has been from Cabo to Tracey Arm on the West Coast, and Castaway Cay to P-Town, Mass to Niagara Falls on the East Coast. She loves to have her photo taken, be sure to ask her to pose!

And cruise docs??? Well, FedEx didn't even ring the buzzer. We found a sticker on the base of the door of my unit. We were home - never knocked or tried to let us know he/she was there...I hope they arrive today. I am leaving on Wed at 430am and I have no idea what happens if they are returned to DCL - any info anyone? I know I can print all the stuff out - but I like to have the book as a memento.

Cayla

Ok - I must have missed a post somewhere. Did we ever find out about

Mermaidloving

is this person with us on the cruise? Do we have a cabin number?

thanks

Quoting myself to add this photo

bracelets.jpg

and to say that hese have all been claimed but if I could get more scraps, I could make more bracelets...... :thumbsup2

Anyone have scraps? :confused3

JAN
.

I should have some left. I took my shirt to get taken in on the sides, don't know what kind of scraps that will genrerate. It's not supposed to be ready until tomorrow. Let me call her today to see if she started it. If she hasn't started it, I'll tell her to hold onto the scraps.

I have the piece of extra fabric I ordered from Val and was going to use that to cover the 2 scrapbooks. I have no idea on how to cover one and was going to wait until we got onboard and have one you guys help me. If I can try to figure it ahead of time, and if there's any leftover from that you can have it.

I added a picture to my avatar. It's me and my husband, Mark. One other distinguishing feature is that Mark is blind and uses a white cane to navigate. So anyone who wants to greet us should be able to "find" us.

Judy, you and I should have no trouble finding each other...I am the other Judy and I will be pushing my adult daughter in a wheelchair...think everyone should find us to say hi :thumbsup2

Add another Judy to the list

:surfweb:Saw the request that we start using our "real" names. Going to throw a wrench into the mix, here is a link to find you Hawaiian name. ;) So hope this will be fun for some of you. Enjoy :cool2:

There is no Hawaiian name for me....my name is spelled differently then usually is here in US. But if I use X in my name, then I can find it ... Alekaneka. Interesting is that my son's name Luke is in Hawaiian Luka which is common spelling of his name in country where I'm coming from :)

It sounds like we have the same mail-person. He never attempts to deliver the packages to me, just leaves the paper saying he"tried" to reach me and couldn't.... funny as my phone shows no record of any calls at that time!

My youngest DS is also a Luke.. Well, his real name is Lucas, but we call him Luke..So was also a Luka in Hawaiian. My oldest is Eli and his Hawaiian name is Eli.. Easy enough!..

Yes, he could rent a tux. I think the info is on the DCL website. If not, there used to be a flyer in with the documents. Haven't received documents yet so I don't know if that is still the case.

He certainly could wear polo and nice khakis on semi-formal night. Whatever is comfortable for him. No one really cares as long as we all are having a good time! :dance3:

How many wear jeans to regular dinner nights? Or do most dress more "business" casual than just jean casual? :confused3

Lindaka & Puluke = Linda & Bruce

Re the discussion on competition from Disboards activities to DCL activities -
Would I prefer Seaulater's Scrapbook Class to DCL's? H*LL YEAH! DCL - your scrapbook class is LAME LAME LAME!

Decorating my door, Fish Extenders, Our own Creations such as shirts and lanyards as well as hanging with my friends is part of the pleasure of cruising - if DCL tries to put a stop to it - I guess they'll be finding themselves short a couple of platinum cruisers!

Probably they'd rather have first timers, though, now that I think about it. First timers will likely be less critical and probably spend more money in the shops.

Gdaneowner, I never even take jeans on a cruise! They weigh too much and, for me, are too warm.

I know they are heavy, and warm, but that is most of my daytime wardrobe!.. I wear jean for work, so I don't really have a reason to own alot of Khaki pants.. Maybe I need to invest in a couple pair!.. :rotfl:

No such thing as a dumb question and I read here that there is a shuttle from the Double Tree to the port. Hope that helps!!

See you very soon!!:cloud9:

We dress cruise casual &/or business casual, and dressier on semi-formal and formal nights. Though DH has worn a tux a few times (and looks *so* handsome!), the norm is his black suit for semi-formal/formal/Palo dinners. I wear something black and dressy, though it might not be a dress. I've never worn a gown and doubt I ever will. I love them, I'm just too cheap to buy them, LOL! Also, we're fairly light packers so there's a lot of mixing, matching, and repeating our wardrobe. Makes for a bigger laundry bill but that's ok with me.

I plan on a dressier evening for Formal and semi formal nights. I was just trying to decide what to pack for regular dinner nights. I am going to try my best to pack "light"!.. I am going to try to avoid the big challenge of toting lots of luggage and 2 young boys around! I am going to TRY to get by with once suitcase for me, and one for the boys. I utilized Babies Travel Lite for my diapering essentials. 15 nights of diapers would take a suitcase in itself! I have been prcratinating packing, but I guess I batter start getting and idea of what I am going to pack, so I know what I still need!.. I am SO a last minute packer.. It might come to bite me in the back side! :rolleyes1

What a great idea for use of the extra fabric. I had not thought of this. I had some but it is now on the way to make someone esle happy, all is fine and good. As for my scraps, they will soon be on theor way for bracelets.

I think I shall snip a small piece to put into the scrapbook -- though.
