I posted about having a kids meet for the little one's that will be traveling with us awhile back. I am wondering if there are still people interested in doing this?

I was thinking of doing it on the morning of the first sea day?

Anyone interested?

Just wondering how everyone is getting to the port, our plan would be to fly in the night before and stay in a hotel close to the airport and then somehow get to the port, any advice?? Also any suggestions on hotels for the night before? A free shuttle to the hotel from the airport would be fantastic

We are flying in the day before, taking SuperShuttle to the DoubleTree at the port.

Just back from San Pedro. Our beautiful ship was sitting in port today. I really love looking at her. Wish I could have got on right then.

We were up there checking out a place to board our dog while on the cruise and we were very happy with where she is going to be taking her vacation - just 3 miles from the port. We really did not want to kennel her. Instead she will be staying in a home with a professional dog handler and a very nice playmate. He said we could leave our car there also and that he would drop us off at the ship. So two problems solved.

We would be interested in a kids meet. Mornings are difficult though since my son does homework each morning that we are at sea. Are we having a DIS meet after the sail-away party?

You'll meet someone your own age (that would NOT be me) although they may not be dis-ers - first off a lot of the CAST members will be your age -and be sure to go to the singles lunches.

Thanks i did see 1 a long time ago i thought i saved it on my computer but i guess not :-( ... i know alot of the crew will be my own age but this cruise will soooo not be the same as just about all my (crew) friends left DCL :-(

Where are you coming from? I am driving also from Washington.

We are coming from the Phoenix area. Should be about 7 hrs. Our son in law loves to drive and they have a larger vehicle to fit the 5 of us and our luggage. The kids will drive from WI to get to us and mother in law will get to us from OK before we all drive out from Phoenix.

6 weeks till sunshine

It has been just spittin' snow here the last couple of days, but last night we got enough to cover the yards again. March did come in like a lamb here though so I guess this is expected.
