Since I'm on a roll, I figure I'll put a shout out regarding this activity too!!

We currently have 13 folks signed up for the at poker tournament and that is just darn right UNLUCKY!!

So, are there any other folks out there interested in participating?!? Buy-in is $20 for $100 in chips. If you'd like to join, you can sign up on the Roll Call google doc under the tab marked "Poker Tourney."

Currently it is scheduled for the same time as Champagne Girls so as to give the hubbies/significant others something to do while we sip and gulp away!!

My hubby (Marty) will be hosting and bringing the poker chips, cards etc (along with John Gar hopefully). Should be fun!!

Opening for the Avengers is May 4. Avengers is Marvel. Disney owns Marvel. Put that equation together and we get.........WATCHING THE AVENGERS ON THE WONDER!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, that would be cool. Just like how they played TRON on the Magic opening day on my last cruise.

Thanks to all of you for your kind wishes and prayers. So far things look good, will need to have the 'Big Squeeze' more often and change some medication. Waiting to hear from the DR. on the ultrasound.

But to more important news - The shirts are here!!! The count is not what she told me it would be ##xx00xx##. So I am working on it and will make a few phone calls. I'll post some photos of us modeling the shirts out on our decks, since the weather is sooo beautiful. Also, what looks like a DCL bomb went off in my dining room. Will let you know when they are in the mails - anticipate Saturday morning. Corinna, I will try to get yours off to the UK tomorrow morning.

Oh my goodness!!! I am so excited. I just read this and said to Dennis, "THE SHIRTS ARE HERE!!!" The dog ran to the door. Guess he is excited too!

I lug my gear to Mexico every year, but it is a men only trip, absolutely no frills. I do not want to hear how all my dive gear is taking up room in our spacious cabin. Where would I run and hide? So the diving will be hold for this trip.

Just trying to keep peace in the family!

You'll have fun regardless.......we lugged ours for the PC crossing but we had more options to dive and only two of us, both divers. This trip the Wonder arrives in port after most day boats have left so it is shore dives. We are Atlantic, never dove Hawaii...so anything is new......We did get a note from the Disney ship police on one cruise, must not hang wet dive gear on the verandah. Our cabin host had fun on that trip with dive gear in the shower.....

Hi Stephanie, if you have the poker tourney at the same time as the Champagne Girls then my DH John cannot attend. He's going to be busy pouring champagne for us ladies and yes he is wearing pink. So now you're down to 12....not unlucky.

wow - never thought of myself as tough love. I just set the rules, that being said - I have taken gty rooms - and am looking for cabins for two people registered on the Bahamas 8 day cruise. Otherwise I find most folks are pretty good. I so feel the pain that all you folks are having. I also am guilty of not following up on a list - I had withdrawn from the CG and somehow didn't follow up on that - so got a PM...sorry Deb!


That is no issue for me at all - the bigger thing is someone like Michael who isn't on the Dis at all! We travel together - many on the boards know him, so he often receives FE gifts. He doesn't expect them - but loves it when they show up! I do the FE gift and add his name


I am in - will ask Michael again.

Cayla, I have no problem with that. I sent the PM and you responded. That's great! After the PM's I did the list on FB and the DIS. After the lists what else do I have to do to get these people to respond? You responded after the first attempt. I can understand if it's an oversight. But after reminding others many times and they still don't respond, what am I to think? Then they just show up. What am I to do?

I'm sorry if I was too harsh by using the term tough love. Maybe that was a little too extreme. Mainly it was meant to convey the idea that you make the rules beforehand and then stick to them. I didn't do that. I let everybody sign up on their own and now have to track them down for missing information that I need. I'll have to rethink this process for my next tasting. Because you know I'm going to do it again!!!! hahaha. I, like Linda, do it because I love it.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but just read on All Ears that Cars Land will be opening on June 15 at DCA! Do you think we will get a soft opening? We will be there May 14 .. How far in advance do they do soft openings? Don't know when I will get back to DL ?
