We can now say this year we are going to cruise to hawaii!:thumbsup2

Great minds think alike :thumbsup2

Great! David and I would love to do an actual excursion with you, though our walk to to boat in Aruba was lovely as well. I hope you are able to book!

Yes, that would be great.

Corrina, David and I are doing it together and DMiL will be separate. Everything should still be the same as noted on the spreadsheet.

I have you confirmed and updated the details on our various documents.

Happy New Year to everyone!!

Sorry to read about those that have lost someone special. Our thoughts are with you.

We are just above the bottom of the barrel being silver members as well. But, we'll take whatever we can get, just as long as we are on the ship and going to Hawaii.

Secret Mickey

Some people have asked me on here and on Facebook what Secret Mickey is.

If you have ever participated in Secret Santa, then you have a good idea what this is about. You will be allocated a family or an individual and it is then your task to spoil them rotten during the cruise. The budget for this is $25 to $30. This does not have to be anything faqncy. During the cruise, you should drop a little something off for your Secret Mickey 2 or 3 times. This can be a note, some candy, a souvenir, a magnet, etc. On the last sea day there will be a reveal session and during this, you should give your Secret Mickey a slightly bigger present.

You can sign up for Secret Mickey through the following links:

With the talk of the Advengers, I am beginning to think I am the only one who is not excited about this movie. I think it is because I am not a Marvel Dan at all. The only Comic books I like are Batman and Superman. I will probably not go to a Premier on the ship, that would take away from bar time, but I will probably see the movie while on the ship.

No, I'm not that excited about it either----I haven't seen many of the precursor movies except Thor (which we watched "on demand" on our Dream cruise in Sept.)...and which I didn't think was very good. Didn't see Captain America or any of the Iron Men movies----I did see at least one of the Hulk movies (and that's part of the Avenger's right?). I'm not as excited about this movie because there are too many male heroes :lmao:----I've always been a bigger fan of female superheroes...so loved the Xmen movies, etc....and would love a major motion picture of Wonder Woman (and was disappointed the remake of the TV series got killed before it even got started).

But if everyone else wants to see the Avengers onboard....I'm all for that...maybe the hot tubs will be empty then to enjoy! :thumbsup2

(We're very excited about "John Carter" though....we love fantasy/sci-fi stuff)

Would anyone sailing with young kids (mine are 2 months shy of 5yrs, and 2yrs), and staying at Candy Cane Inn or maybe doing DL the couple of days before, be interested in a kids meet? Maybe so the kids could have a familier "friend" once we board and sail? My oldest would probably have more fun if he had somone his own age that he could hang out in the clubs with. Just and idea. :worship::confused3

I would be interested. I believe that we have been chatting on the FB board (about car seats). My son will be a few weeks shy of 5yo.

Since two of my group have dropped I am looking for two people to join us on a private plane excursion over Kauai. The site is
http://www.wingsoverkauai.com/
And the tour is the Grand Deluxe tour at a cost of $120 per person. Everyone has their own window. If anyone is interested then pm me for more details.

Just checking in .......
Happy New Year to everyone!

I think Marilyn dropped out, too.
My mother-in-law passed away last evening (Alzheimers), so you KNOW I wasn't on line at midnight.
So sorry for your loss.
Happy New Year all. We drove down to Disneyland in the thick fog. Watched, alright more like heard because it was so foggy, the midnight fireworks from the top of the Mickey and friends parking structure. It was cool. All of a sudden at midnight the fog lit up for the next 5 min. It was cool. Here is a shot of the castle at park closing at 2A.M.

Wonderful that you made it down. We watched from our garden and it readily was very foggy, but we managed to see Disneylands fireworks coming up through the clouds.

Happy New Year fellow cruisers......
Please excuse my absence from here for the past few weeks. My step dad was sick in the hospital for a couple of weeks and then he passed away. After his funeral, my husband was in the hospital with chest pains. He's out and he's fine now. But I've been a little busy with real life.
I know everyone is PIF and booking many things. I don't have to PIF until Feb 12th and it's a good thing too, I can't even think about that right now with all that has been going on in my life.
But I need to let you know about scheduling the Champagne Girls!!!!!!!!!! So get your PINK on and here's the update:

DCL will NOT let me book it until 2 weeks before sailing. I'm going to request the last sea day before we hit the islands or if not, then the second to last sea day before we hit the islands. I don't want to do it when we first hit the ocean.....we may have rough seas. Nearer to land, I'm hoping it will be calmer. My last CG was the first Alaskan and we had rough seas and it wasn't as nice as calm seas. My third choice would be the first sea day after we leave the islands. With all of those sea days that we have I think I'll get one of my top 3 choices. I will ask to have it held from 2-4pm so that more people can attend. If you have any questions, please PM me. I'll get back to you as quickly as possible....barring any unforseeable hospital stays.
OK, now I have a lot of catching up to do on the thread.
So sorry to hear of your loss.

Looking forward to the Champagne Girls.

.........................
Was wondering if there is anyone in a midship layout Cat 3 / 00T (8032, 8034, 8532, 8534) who'd like to swop for a 'normal' Cat 3 / 00T layout. If so, would you please PM me. Thank you.

Just wanted to express how sorry I am for those of you that have lost loved ones in the last few weeks and for those of you that are having health problems. Here's hoping 2012 treats everyone better!

Just saw that my GTY has a room number. I'm not sure if I should try to see if I can go back to GTY with reports that the room is loud. #2614

My one and only gty room ended up on deck 2 and was on the noisy list. It was for the 2005 PC cruise and I thought that we would suffer for so many days. I fretted and fretted over it. It ended up being our favorite room and NO NOISE. We now continually ask for the same room. Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised like we were.

I would be interested. I believe that we have been chatting on the FB board (about car seats). My son will be a few weeks shy of 5yo.

Great!.. We will be at the Candy Cane in April 26th and 27th. We are going to DL both days as well. My son will be 5 June 12th, so he will be close to 5 than 4. lol..

WOW !!

Cool photo!

Check your email. It should have the name of excursion, names of people going and times. :thumbsup2

I booked them in clumps so got 3 separate e-mails but another friend showed me how to get an e-mail of the whole trip so I am all set. :woohoo:

:yay: Thanks for your help too. :cool1:

Happy New Year!!! (a little late)

Project7-1-1.jpg

We set sail in 17 weeks! That's 119 days!

Did we have some couples who were interested in a vow renewal ceremony? I remember the topic came up but have not seen anything recently about it. I know DCL charges a lot if they do it. Anyone recall?

Bumping this up. I am interested in making a bracelet. First I would like to thank everyone who is organizing all these events. Makes this cruise so special. :flower3: Do you have an idea yet on when you might do the bracelet workshop ? I don't want the other things I have planned to overlap. :)

Am I the only one that can't book excursions until the 15th? Is there anything left?

Nope I still need to book something. I can't till the 15th. :wizard: We will talk before the 15th.
