I am hoping to walk a few laps around deck 4 every sea day...did this on the EBTA and really enjoyed it....needed it too with all the extra eating and drinking every day ;) If you save an extra chair I might be persuaded to help you count laps for a while too though :thumbsup2

Got to get my posterior in gear too. I definitely put on too many lbs. on the 2010 WBTA.

Just wanted to say hello to you all. Also I wanted to say that I again am going to ask people after the new year to please write DCL about any possable merchandise problems and lack of adult things to do at night. We do not need a repeat of the Panama Canal cruise.

If anyone is interested I just gave up a SPH room 5524. Hopefully someone here can get it.

Alan, It sounds like tonight could easily have been really bad for SWA, the passengers and Boeing. Awesome job by your pilots on the 737 in Sacramento.

Boeings go tech, too. We predominantly fly B777s and every disruption where I ended to work over night was caused by a 777. We had a lot of teething problems with our A380, but they are now pretty reliable. They have now become our flagship aircraft. It is a shame that Boeing does not offer anything comparable. Having said that, we just placed a huge order for more 777s.

Corinna

I am going to have to ask....what do you all mean when you say an aircraft is "going tech"...:confused3:confused3:confused3

Jon - great job on the reveal! Sounds like you guys are pretty well set.

I am FINALLY PIF...now Michael and I can book excursions. If anyone here is linked with us...please email me...I have a couple of questions.

Cayla

And again - please keep the shirts secret from Michael - my sailaway gift to him :)

That could have been really bad. I really don't know much about what happened. Just a blown tire on takeoff. As for going "tech" I belive she is referring to mechanical problems.

In airline speak (at least in Europe) this means the aircraft is grounded due to something not functioning how it should.

Indeed I am.

We surprised our grandchildren with a Disney cruise from NY this summer-we saved on airfare -its just a two hr ride from our home- For Christmas we gave them a lot of Disney related things and the final thing was a video( kind of corny but cute) giving them clues as to what we could get them. The last part we took at Port Canaveral with the Disney ship in the background where we shouted " You are going on g Disney Cruise". They were so excited. It is going to be a long wait until July.

Anyone here going on the July 28 or August 5 out of NY?

We are going on the 8/5 - grandmother, daughter and grandson (11)

WELL! I heard from a little bird that your husband has COMPLETELY remodeled your whole house. If you can't make it to the States, then we will have to make a schedule of visits by us (and I mean ALL of us) to the lovely North Yorkshire area of Harrogate!:grouphug:

Ann could make yet another Yule log and bring it up :angel:.

I had a bit of a shock when I got home this afternoon. I had a payment reminder in my inbox letting me know that my final payment for this cruise is due on December 30th. I was booked within the first hour of this cruise being released and was given a final payment date of February 13th. I got straight onto my travel agent as the money for the cruise is in a savings account that I need to give notice to withdraw a larger sum. She double-checked with DCL and they confirmed that my payment is not due until February 14th so all is well. I could have done without this scare though.

I made our shuttle reservation last night from LAX to the Grand Californian for our pre cruise stay. I got a rate on Super Shuttle for $29 for the two of us. If I remember correctly, there was some discussion before about trying to organize some sort of group shuttle from DL hotels to the port. Is this still going on or are people going to use DCL transportation to the port? I assume you can add the DCL transportation anytime.

Glad it has worked out!

Now that my cabinmate and I are both PIF :cool1: I need to decide on shuttles too...but I will be going to Doubletree the night before the cruise.

I have asked DCL about adding the DCL transportation on closer to the cruise in the past and been told you can add anytime before. Of course I wouldn't leave it until the very last minute:)

What time are you getting into LAX and what airline?
