Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

I'm stuck on wheelchair for this holidays. Went in for torn meniscus surgery on Thursday and I should walk out of the hospital. Doctor found my knee in much worse condition and now I can't step on my foot for 2 months. I'm glad we don't have big plans for today and tomorrow, cause I can't do much....

OH my! I had that happen to me too. I went in for minor tear, but he did a "micro fracture" to try to improve the circulation to the knee and that meant NO weight bearing for 6 weeks....I hope it helps your pain.

Merry Christmas everyone, cannot believe our cruise is only a few short months away! Can you believe I saw the movie The Descendents yesterday because I knew it was shot in Hawaii? I've got the Hawaiian spirit!

Today is one of the few days I wished we flew the crap....un I mean Airbus. Alas we are a all Boeing fleet. I am hoping for bad weather.

As someone from a Boeing Family we are so thankful you guys did not choose crap ...it helps pay for our trip!!! Happy Holidays!

That was a great movie. I really liked it. I loved the fact it was "Real" and not "Hollywood". If you see it you know what I am talking about. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who may see it.

OUr grandchildren will be coming to FL tomorrow with our daughter and we made a video to tell them about their surprise cruise in July. Can't wait to see their reaction. Half of the fun for us was planning this for them.

That wish for a late night not looking good. The Weather, at least in terms of flying, is good. Not causing any problems. Oh well

Boeings go tech, too. We predominantly fly B777s and every disruption where I ended to work over night was caused by a 777. We had a lot of teething problems with our A380, but they are now pretty reliable. They have now become our flagship aircraft. It is a shame that Boeing does not offer anything comparable. Having said that, we just placed a huge order for more 777s.

The 787 will put the A380 to shame. Oh and let's not talk about how the A380 is just one ugly plane. From the front it looks like a Beluga Whale. All in all, all planes will have a problem. That's what happens when something has over a million moving parts. Things stop working. It is the nature of the beast. My problem with Airbus is the pilot is redundant. The onboard computer does everything. I don't like that at all. There is a reason that there are two people in the cockpit. When there is a problem, the computer does not have the human instinct. Sorry, if it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.

Well, after a couple close calls I managed to keep the cruise a secret from Candida for alomost 6 months. She finally found out tonight when Mickey called to tell her.
