When a group of us were down at Fishermans Wharf, to see the Wonder departed from San Francisco last April. We had the Mickey hands and signs, and some of the tourists asked who we were. Bob told them we were "DCL Groupies, something they can aspire to". I think I need to get a tee-shirt with that written on it for him.

On the first 10 day southern Caribbean, way back!, we all had very pretty turquoise tshirts. There were ALOT of us. Throughout the cruise many of us were stopped and asked what one had to do to get to be one of the turquoise people.

Usually wear the matching shirts when we board. Sailaway with all the matching shirts is fun! Maybe a second time since this is a long cruise. Dinner one night?

Only 5 more months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We decided to wait until after the first of the year to book our flights figuring Southwest Airlines will have a sale for spring dates. Our thought right now is to fly into Orange County (looks like flights are a little less flying into Orange Co. but no direct flights) and spend the evening before the cruise at Downtown Disney in Anaheim then fly back to Houston direct through LAX.

I realise it is boring to most of you but an update for our friends on whether we will be with you.

Yesterday morning it was a definite no and had been for a few weeks. I hadn't been on here for a few days and was weaning myself off as it was too depressing. I had cancelled my donation to the lanyard donation team too which upset me. But last night John had been looking at flights on the quiet, looking at the budget and said we might be able to manage it. Of course it mainly depends on my specialist appointment on Wednesday and tests after that, plus phone calls to our insurance company. So it might yet be a go and I can hardly believe it.

Unfortunately the PIF date is difficult. If only it had been a month later to give us longer to see how the medical stuff goes but it is what it is.

I know we have a couple of weeks after the PIF date before we lose our deposit so we would have to book flights within those weeks. Going to be a bit of a stressful time but I just thought I would update for my friends. I haven't got back to being excited yet but I might have a look at the excursions now.

Marilyn will keep you in our prayers. We have a similar situation but have good travel insurance so just going ahead as planned and hope we don't have to cancel at last minute. The planning and looking forward to a treat at the end of the tunnel is great medicine in itself.

However, currently the count is at 104 adult shirts and if everyone fills their pre-orders, we will qualify for the lower cost of $33.50, plus and additional $5 for XXL and XXXL. This charge includes an estimate for the shipping and handling from the shirt maker.

Material is $15 a yard plus $1 for maker shipping and handling.

To mail your shirts and material to those of you in the US, I plan to use the USPS priority mail envelopes. At a cost of $4.95, plus $2.50 for insurance and tracking. (note if you ordered both shirts and material want the material shipping earlier then the shirts, I will need you to send separate USPS mailing charges)

A PayPal account has been set up just for the shirt orders. Valbob89@aol.com is the account payment should be posted to, via PayPal. PLEASE REMEMBER in order to avoid PayPal incorrectly charging a transaction fee, you must DESIGNATE PAYMENT AS A PERSONAL GIFT not a merchant merchandise transaction.

Should we not get at least 100 paid orders, I will let you know and you can decide if you wish to cancel your order and receive a refund or increase your payment for the higher price required.
