ETA: redundant

See my post 123 above. I wrote nearly the same thing again thinking I had posted that on another thread. :upsidedow

Jan :earsgirl: JLSE50

Got it. Thanks, Jan.

I could swear I saw a post over the last few days that said Aulani would NOT have their own luau as they are near neighbors to one of the big luau places (Paradise Cove?). :confused3

.

Really? Rats!

hello all!
I am booked on this cruise and just found this thread. I havent had time to read all the way through yet but I am sure, as always, there will be alot of useful info and things that I have not even thought of yet. Since I have been to 3 of the 4 Islands ports for this cruise we will be wanting to rent a car to see some favorite and new things. I will be looking for info on rental cars in the ports unless there is already info somewhere on all these pages lol

I (42 years young)will be traveling with my mom (62 years young) and we are looking forward to this trip. No children this cruise for us.

Our most recent Disney cruise was on the Magic in the Med this year and this Hawaii cruise will be my 8th.

Cant wait to see everyone and Aloha!!!:goodvibes

Welcome to the crew!

Hi all!

Just checking in after catching up on the end of Part II and ALL of Part III! Whew...busy, busy, busy people on the DIS. I'm in Las Vegas for a conference, which is now done and it's yime to go out to a show...probably Mystere, one of the Cirque du Soleil shows. My friend is up by almost 4000!And I really shouldn't gamble..no, no, no!

BTW, we're staying on this cruise. Need to vacation on a cruise line with NO GAMBLING or SMOKING (most areas anyway)!!:lmao:

We love Cirque; have a great time.

Well another day of WDW fun is now over. It was kick back time in the day. Meet some friends over at Food and Wine. Had to take the oblatory ride on Spaceship Earth. Headed back to the resort had dinner at Boma then Extra Hours at the Studio. We saw Muppet Vission right before the extra hours started. Then to the Tower, Rockin Roller Coaster, back to the Tower, then back to the Tower again, then back to Rockin Roller Coaster, then to end the night we rode Toy Story Midway Maina. On tap for tomorrow is lunch at Tepan Edo, some Food and Wine, then Magic Kingdom for extra hours that end at 1A.M.

We are headed to WDW this afternoon, staying at Bonnett Creek. We are volunteering for the Wine and Dine race weekend. Working Friday and Sat. at the Expo going out race packets. Sat. night we will be course monitor in Hollywood Studios. Hopefully we will have a little time to spend at the Wine and Food festival at Epcot. Alex
Good luck with that!!! Cathy and I will be there in two short weeks....can't wait!!!

Ok folks at WDW for Food and Wine, please pass on the not to be missed items from the various kiosks

Thanks,
will do!

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Yesterday's adventure was finding the totebag with my passport in the pocket! AFTER I called the sheriff in the airport, the airport, the airline, etc, I found it folded up in the pocket of my roll on. WHEW.

Happy day, all!

.......
We honeymooned in Hawaii in 1998 (Maui & Hawaii) and loved it! Looking forward to seeing Kauai & Oahu! I really hope we can see both the Arizona and Aulani on Oahu. Wondering if DCL will offer excursions that allow time for both..........

I could swear I saw a post over the last few days that said would NOT have their own luau as they are near neighbors to one of the big luau places (Paradise Cove?) :confused3.

If they don't do their own luau we still could request excursions to Pearl Harbor, Aulani and a luau
that do not conflict. ::yes::
And
That get us back to the ship before sail-away! :thumbsup2

 to show my ignorance--why do people seem to think luaus are always late at night? :confused3

Southwest has opened up flights for this cruise time frame. Flying from KCI to LAX is $129 each way. I am grabbing my flights today! :woohoo:

Welcome to the newbies!

please continue to send me pms to get your name added to the roll call!

I spent a great day at the MK on Saturday for the 40th as well as Alan. Only merch I bought was a t-shirt.

It was a beautiful day to be at the parks.

Booked my SW flights this morning. There were no nonstop from Orlando. On the way out we stop in Nashville and on the way back in Austin. We got the flights for $367 We decided to fly out on the 26th and go to Disneyland. Last time we were there I missed most of the World of Color because I was not feeling well. This time I hope to see it all.

We are returning to Orlando on May 16th.

Now I have to get hotel rooms and get a scooter for my husband.

Anyone else have the same schedule?

This was a hectic weekend for us. I spent Sunday at the Emergency room. I am due to have hernia surgery on Wed. but I was in a lot of pain on Sunday. After being there for over 6 hours and the pain subsided some they sent me home to wait it out to Wed. Can't wait until this ordeal is over.

Some great prices!

While I did get a better price on United.

2 free bags per person makes this a great deal for sure!

Much as I hate to do this, we have moved our booking to the October sailing. The April date conflicts with some of Trevors graduation activities, and we don't want him to miss any part of this milestone event. I removed our info from the spreadsheets, however , I did volunteer to organize the early dining group, so if someone else would like to volunteer.....

We'll miss not sailing with the many friends we made on the WBTA last year, but look forward to reading your trip reports.

There are very limited non-stop flights from Kansas City as well. The ones that the do have either leave really early, or arrive really late.

I am still trying to decide how our pre and post cruise schedules are going to work. I have toyed with the idea of coming a bit early and checking out DL, but then I have also told myself, save the $$, come in the day before and leave the day we disembark. Decisions decisions.. :confused3... I would like to check out DL, but not sure what to do just yet.

Wow! Missed a couple of weeks of lurking and there's a whole new thread. I knew something was up when my daily update emails stopped coming, but I never got back over here to see what happened.:confused3

1/2 of our party also transferred to the October cruise - the timing worked better for them. We're staying with April though...had the flights and hotel already worked out - what a mess to have to change all of that. :sad2:Yuck! Plus, we know you're all a fun group and want to sail with you anyway.

Was at WDW for the opening of Food and Wine and got to attend the 40th Anniversary Celebration at the Magic Kingdom on the 1st. Very Magical! :wizard:

Our next event is the AIDS Walk Atlanta in 2 weeks. Then we're thinking about a trip to WDW in November for a couple of days - or maybe a Dream cruise - we're still itching to get on that ship too. :rolleyes1

We've updated the spreadsheet on google and sent Erik and Jason our revised Lanyard info.

Looking forward to my daily updates from the thread.:surfweb:

Janice,

Sorry to hear you are moving to October. You and Trevor will be missed by Candida and I.

That sounds horrible. :wizard: hope you feel better very soon.

We are also weighing coming in early vs. the day of the cruise. We are so cautious that i goes against our grain to come in the day of the cruise, but since we'd be coming from the east coast and arriving in the a.m., I guess we'd be alright. Anyone know what traffic would be like on a Sunday from LAX to the port? Does Disney do any kind of shuttle doing this route?

Are you flying from Detroit? Just wondering what kind of price you got (we will be flying from Detroit as well and was hoping for a slightly better price with SW)

I'm asking a dumb question....dumb because I asked it before & can't remember the answer :lmao:

Who's dealing with the group block at the Doubletree in San Pedro??

Thanks!

Greetings All. I have been lurking and now it is time for true confessions. WE BOOKED!

actually, I booked back in March but have been busy with a Dream Wedding Cruise, not mine!!!! And am nervous about booking with DVC points this far out. It is a big committment as we are on the East Coast...and it will entail juggling vacation schedules but enough negativity.....

Cruising will be me and DH on our 10th cruise. And our course "Hedgie", our hedgehog mascot....we were on the 2008 Panama Westbound, the first Double Scoop in 2006 and the Dream Maiden. so, I recognize some of you already. some of you are battling illness...here is to a fast recovery.

I've got lots of catching up to do but thanks to all of you, it's all on page one. the shirts are such a super idea, we will be signing up. so much work has gone into every detail. and I have never done champagne girls, but sounds like fun. Door sings, yup a must there as well.

As for the islands, are there any divers out there? we have been blessed to have visited Hawaii three times in the past, for six islands..including one memorable three night hiking stay inside the volcano....so I cannot decide whether to dive, take an excursion or rent a car.....lots to think about. and all those sea days.....wow.

This is also our first cruise GTY, another new experience.

OK enough babble....
