Wow Randy you really like coasters. I'm afraid I'm not much for them any more.

My favorites by park:

Magic Kingdom: Philharmagic, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and the WedWay People Mover (ok so they call it something else now ). Plus for me a visit to the Magic Kingdom wouldn't be complete without seeing the Dumbo statue in the hub.

Epcot: Soarin is definately a favorite but I also love walking the countries. I love Figment as well but it still isn't as good as the original.

Hollywood Studios: Star Wars is about it. I miss seeing the animation studio at work.

Animal Kingdom: the safari is fantastic, Festival of the Lion King and Nemo are also wonderful.

I kind of like them, but they scare the begitters out of me. DW says I "scream like a girl" - but that's the only way I know to release the tension.

I was beginning to think we were NEVER going to get our docs, but. . . low and behold, I got our MAGIC call from Make-a-wish tonight. . . they are coming bright and early Saturday morning with documents and who knows what else in hand (actually I know they are bringing Dunkin Donuts!), and they will be surprising Austin (the wish child), be has no idea when they are coming. . .. so I will just have to make sure he is up and dressed to receive them at the door, and welcome them in. I am getting SO SO SO excited now. . . it is like it makes the dream really come true. . .. we REALLY are going on a cruise. . .we also got some GREAT news that makes the cruise that much more special and I hope you guys don't mind me gushing about it. . .. we received the news that, Austin has NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!!

He has no detectable evidence of the cancer!

YAHOOOO. . . . and I got a new gown for formal night. . . but that does not compare to the other news!

that is truly wonderful news!!! I am so happy for you all! And what a better way to celebrate than on a Disney cruise!!

When I’m on vacation, I’m meeting all sorts of random strangers who i’ll never have to see again, and I love random strangers. I am more comfortable with random strangers than with my own friends sometimes, because I really don’t care about what they think of me and I can really let loose. We don’t owe each other anything in that moment we meet, and we never know how long we’ll share that moment. Luckily, the moment with strangers lasted an entire fun filled weekend.

I hope everyone on board has moments like these with both the Crazy Cruizers and anyone else you come in contact with on the ship or islands.

We are certainly getting excited as we leave on April 20th for a few days at WDW first-staying at Marriott Cypress Harbour for the first time so hope it is as good as it looks!

Has anyone mentioned the Carnival in St. Maarten while we are there? If so, it bears repeating.

April 29th is the day of the Grand Parade on St. Maarten, and there will be 5 ships in port that day, including one of the largest cruise ships in the world (Liberty of the Seas). That equals nearly 13,000 cruise passengers mobbing the island. That's not to mention the traffic problems you will have coming back from the other side of the island during the parade.

I think it's going to be an amazing trip, and the parade sounds like a lot of fun. Just be aware of what's going on, so you're not stuck watching your boat pull away while you stand on the dock.

Uggh.. Thanx for the update. We had planned on renting a jeep to drive around the island. I'll definitely keep this in mind.

I had posted a couple of weeks ago listing the ships in port and how many passengers they carry. Didn't know about the Grand Parade. I'll have to look into that. Our plan was to just walk around the shopping area a bit.

This is our plan too...at first we booked the butterfly farm but then decided to do the new one in St. Thomas because we can walk to it from the docks. Is there any good shopping within walking distance from the boat in St. Maarten? We wanted to just go of the ships for a few hours with the kids and be back on for lunch. I here that the pools are less crowded in port and we want to take advantage of that.

I wouldn't want to be banned within a week of registering here! I thought people would want to know the link for the Carnival, so I found a work around. As long as you know I'm not a spammer.

I'm glad I found these forums. It's nice to know I'm not the only crazy first-time cruiser with no idea what I'm doing. Thanks for all the information. This going to be a lot of fun.
