Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Really long day at work yesterday. Hope today is better. On a happier note we are just days away from booking Palo/excursions for our October cruise. Guess we should decide what we really want to do. :lmao:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Woo Hoo - a morning UTOP!

PDFG and all who need it!

Welcome Judy and Rob
:woohoo: Woohoo, I am no longer the newbie member of this thread. :cool1:

Our family of 4 just finished a 3 nite cruise in May. We enjoyed it so much, that we signed up for the April 26 seven nite. That 3-niter went by so fast. What didn't go fast enough was the time I waited from cruise purchase to cruise sail day. I kept it a secret from my family until a few weeks before. Well the 7 nite cruise is no secret...

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday! Nasty storms rolled through last night. Hope all of these who are East of us don't get too many of them.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Late last night, after we had picked KT up from church, it tried to storm. The radar made it look like it was going to be MUCH worse, but luckily is must have just skimmed us.

Now it's pouring buckets though.

Sunny skies in Florida, with the occasional afternoon thunderstorms. We need rain!

our guests have left. They flew out on the redeye tonight. We spent the day in Long Beach on the Queen Mary. It was fun, but wow...expensive to get in!! For the 4 of us, almost $100 just to get it. That included the self guided tour, ghost tour (which was REALLY spooky and my SIL had to take my nephew who will be 5 in August out because he was totally freaking out. I have to admit, my heart was beating a million miles a minute too!), and the submarine visit. We spent all day there, visited with my other SIL who lives in Long Beach. We said our goodbyes, which was really sad. I love them all so much! Then, Alan, the kids and I had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack at the Long Beach marina. Then drove home. We were all very tired!

I checked the flight status, and looks like they took off on time.

While they were here, we pretty much decided we will get off the ship on Saturday and then spend the day with them and fly home Sunday morning or around noon. We really miss them a lot and it really would be a shame to not see them much while we are there. Tried to talk my SIL into going on the cruise with us, but she doesn't want to take a cruise vacation!

Tomorrow will be spent cleaning the house and I desperately need to go grocery shopping!

Good morning everyone! TGIF!

A really beautiful day here in Chicagoland. Blue skies, moderate temperatures, looks like it is going to be like this all through the weekend.

Looking forward to getting the last Harry Potter book tomorrow. Anyone else a Harry Potter fan?

We're anxiously awaiting our HP book.
Just checked amazon's tracking order of it and i'm confused. it says at 4:46 today it departed Springfield. Why would it depart our UPS hub? Usually on that last day it says "out for delivery."

I hope it's not on it's way to Topeka or somewhere! If it's REALLY out for delivery, we'll get it today!

But my parents are here this weekend, so we won't be able to read it! :(

Strange. I just checked my tracking with Amazon and it has a departure scan for our local hub as well. I'm thinking (and I could be wrong) that they are staging them in trucks to go out first thing tomorrow for delivery. They may even be having trucks doing just that delivery. Last time it was released I got it on the release day which was a Saturday as well.

Yup, now mine says it arrived back at the hub. Looks like they took it for a little ride!!

UPS usually doesn't deliver here on Saturday unless it's way major upgraded shipping. Must be something the UPS people and amazon figured out. Hmmmm

whoohooo!! I got my new computer today and I absolutely love it!!! I have to get used to the huge 22 inch widescreen monitor. It has Windows Vista and so far, so good! Love all the new features! :yay:

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 40 weeks!

40 weeks! It seems like it wasn't THAT long ago when it was 50 weeks. Time goes by faster than I ever imagined! I was just telling DH that when I first booked this cruise, it was 17 months away and I was saying how loooooong it was. Now it's only 9 months, the wait is almost halfway over!

Quick question...does anyone have McAfee virus protection. My new computer came with a 15 months subscription. I have been using Norton for years and years and I feel like I am missing something without my Norton on here. I am tempted to install Norton on top of the McAfeee. Mark, did you not say something about McAfee a while back? I don't remember...

Good morning everyone! Got to spend a wonderful afternoon and evening in the world of Harry Potter. My book came around 3 pm and I retreated with it down to the family room. 15 chapters in and this book is fantastic. Don't want to read it too fast and miss some of the little things. I also think I'm going to go back and re-read the entire series as I know I've missed things over the years.

This morning after Church and breakfast we are going to see Transformers (more for Mark then me) and then I'll return home for laundry and more Harry. :)

Actually Mark doesn't care for either of those. We use Trend Micro.

hmmm...must have been someone else that said it then! :confused3 Well, I'll just stick with the McAfee for now and see how it goes...So far so good!

ANTI-VIRUS: I use Symantec AV and have been pretty happy with it. I've never tried to load 2 AV applications at the same time - I fear there may be conflicts. A co-worker swears by AVG (free), and I'll find out if he is running it concurrently with another AV product. It is possible for one program to detect a virus that another does not.

TRANSFORMERS: I took DS7 to see that last nite. Ok, I actually thought it was a kid's movie, on the lines of "Iron Giant." Before the movie started, I was wondering why there were so many teens and few young kids. popcorn:: Well the movie was an all out war of the worlds. We both enjoyed it. The story is good as well as the visual effects of the robots changing shape. :3dglasses DS had to explain to me that BumbleBee was a good transformer - how did you know - I've got his card. :)

I SAW HER! I SAW HER: I just got back from picking up some sushi in Cape Canaveral. As I drove :car: down the Beach Line, I saw the Disney Wonder :boat: in all her glory. I could just imagine all the happy people on board. I drove by about 4:30pm, so they were probably getting ready to begin celebrating the Sail Away party. party:

Well I'm now finished with Harry Potter! Great book!

Transformers wasn't bad. I'll be showing my age but parts of it reminded me of War Games. :)

Tonight/tomorrow morning is booking day for our October cruise. I'm going to be sleepy tomorrow at work.

Thanks to reading the main board I found out that booking now opens up at Midnight Eastern time. So I was able to get in right after 11 pm. Got a scare as it gave me an error message, but I logged off and then logged back on and all was fine. Got 10 am brunch at Palo for our sea day and the jet skis for our first Castaway Cay day. Now I'm heading off to bed!

Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Running a little slower this morning after being up late last night but it was worth it and better than being up in the middle of the night.

All in all a great weekend. Really enjoyed being able to run away to the land of Harry Potter for the weekend.
