Well yesterday was a long day. Started work at 7:15 and didn't leave work until 7:45. We had a bunch of people off and some hot projects that had to get into production. Thank goodness for a 3 day weekend as Tuesday looks to be just as crazy.

48 weeks!! whoohooo! And lookie, my countdown now has a 10 months, instead of 11! I can't believe it's been almost 7 months since I booked this cruise! It seems like those 7 months went by pretty fast.

Well yes but not by name. You were part of the DIS friends mentioned. I thought the idea was magical moments BY Disney which is why I choose the one I did. I had a couple I thought about but deep down I think that one was the most special to me.

Now if you are talking about Magical Moments by DISers you know you would be part of that! :)

Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was a quiet day for me. Just some laundry and relaxing. I needed to wind down after my Friday at work.

No big plans for the rest of the weekend either. Just nice and relaxing which is how I like it.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

raining here now am going to need the umbrella to grill out tonight wondering If Mary or Karen can help how does the shuttle work for Avis is it better to drop luggage first then return the car what about after is it better to take luggage with you when you go to pick up the car or come back for it where is the drop off and pick up point is the much waiting time

Mike - the shuttle from Avis worked great for us. Here is what we did last May. We met some of our fellow cruisers for breakfast at Grills (we had already checked out of the hotel). After breakfast we drove over to the port. I got out with our luggage and the wife and daughter from the other family got out. The guys then dropped off the cars at Avis and took the shuttle back to the port. Mark was back at the port before they even opened the gates for us.

After the cruise we walked out with Karen, Mike and the kids. The porters took the luggage to the drop-off/pick-up area. The Avis shuttle was waiting so Mark and Mike jumped on. They get to Avis, pick up the cars and were soon back at the port picking us up.

You could take the whole family with luggage both ways but I think it works better this way.

The rental car areas are right at the end of the pick-up/drop off area. The near end so it is right when you walk out. They have ropes set up and signs saying which line is for which rental company. The area where they walked us to was closer to the beginning of the drop off area. Maybe 100 feet away.

Whole heartedly agree with Mary here. If you can have someone stay with the luggage, it's easy, peasy. Sometimes they can fit in another body or two, but not more luggage....so if you have a bunch of luggage, you'd have to wait for the next shuttle.

Mary, hoping we can do it again next year! :)

I think we will go with Avis too. We originally wanted to rent through Budget because it seems everytime we need a rental car, that's who we go with. But it seems Avis is a bit cheaper than Budget!

Happy Memorial Day!

A great big thank you to all who have served or who have family serving.

as a castaway club member how far in advance can we make reservation for shore excursions and Palo brunch think we will try for first day at sea hope everyone enjoys the holiday

Mike,

Castaway Club members can make their reservations 90 days in advance.

Concierge is 105 days and first time cruisers is 75 days.

so we are ablt to make reservation around January 26th 2008 going to look into making our plane reservations and rental car this week

We still have to decide if we are staying down in FL for any length of time after the cruise or heading straight home. Then we can go ahead and make plane reservations. We will most likely fly down on Friday, but not sure if we'll fly home Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.
