hi all! I am working all day today, so I thought I'd check in while it's quiet around here for a few minutes! I may check in when I go home for lunch. Nice and sunny here today but chilly!!

I just went and got a nice big Starbucks Mocha! Yum! I had such a nice Disney cruise dream last night, I didn't want it to end. But my stupid alarm woke me up!

just noticed that my ticker now says "12 months". No more weeks after that...it's almost a year away!! I have to say that the time from when I booked Nov. 1st has gone by faster than I anticipated! Hopefully the next 12 months will go by just as fast!

It's my day off today, and I took a nap this morning after I dropped the kids off at school. The pool guy woke me up though. He was here for such a long time today, I felt bad. The pool was a mess. He said all the pools in town are messy because of the ashes from the Beverly Hills fires!

wish I could help Jen, but we are insured through Kaiser and I have always gone to Woodland Hills for prenatal stuff and had had my babies there, so I have no experience with the Simi hospital and/or Drs. I will ask around for a good OB, if you want me to!

Yes, please ask around. I'm sure some of the ladies in your office had their babies in Simi. My friend only has her nail lady and hair lady to ask.

I'll ask in my office and also most of the teachers are pretty young and I know some have had babies in the past 2 years, so I'll ask them too!

I just visited cruise critic (my Alaska cruise is fast approaching) and on the first post of the thread there is an advertisment that takes up about 1/4 of the post.

I found that interesting. I saw an ad for ketchup and photo retouching.

Hopefully the disboards won't resort to this.

I always miss the cruise chat. I agree, we should meet up there as we get closer!

Jen, have you made a decision yet on where you are going to stay before the cruise? I really think we'll go with the Country Inn & Suites! I have heard so many great things about them!

I'll probably stay at Country Inn & Suites or I also think there is another new one (that was almost completed before our last cruise).

Jen - I was in chat for a little while but there weren't many people there and the talk in the main room seemed to center around the May 2007 Med repo. Since I was pretty tired I just called it a night early. Must of just missed you.

Hopefully our new cruisers will join our chatting and we can get to know them. With all groups there are some who are always there and some who lurk more than post.

The Idea of meeting in chat sounds good to us too maybe we should try for next Friday evening to Kick off our 52 week count down to our cruise it is sunny and 53 here now we are suppose to get to the 6o's today and tomorow. Mike

I would love to chat with all of you but couldn't do it yesterday as I had dental surgery and spent the day having the procedure and sleeping. I am still very tired and run down even today. Please let me know of any upcoming chats.

A few things to keep in mind about chat.

1) the main cruise chat starts at 9 pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7 pm Mountain, and 6 pm Pacific. This is in the main chat lobby and talk is usually about general cruising. People saying when they are cruising, asking questions, etc.

2) Some groups will go to one of the other rooms (there are two) so it can be a more specific chat. I know the Eastbound 2008 repo group does this and our 2006 Member Cruise group used to do it a lot.

3) All three rooms are open all the time. When we booked the 2006 Member Cruise back in late 2005 we all met in the chat room at 8 am in the morning and had 38 people in chat!

Having said all that if you want to get together for a group chat I might suggest that we pick a time when everyone can be there and it doesn't have to fall within the normal cruise chat time. Maybe a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or early evening would work best. We have folks on both coasts so we need to take that into consideration.
