Just had to share my blog entry for today ....as if we need another thing to deal with:

43 hours of rehearsal x 40 Wizard of Oz Munchkins = 1 case of strep throat.

Yes, it's true. Nick weathered 43 hours of rehearsal in the last week without incident. The Purell drill was completed each time he stepped into the car after rehearsal, but it wasn't enough. Today he woke up with classic strep symptoms: headache, bellyache, and sore throat. He was a titch warm too, but I didn't take his temperature. His throat was swabbed and the results came back--positive for strep. Rob, our friendly Wal*mart pharmacist, will be filling the Amoxicillin prescription shortly.

KT and Nick shared a water bottle yesterday. Her tech week begins tonight. Ack!

morning all! My boys are back safe and sound. They didn't get in until almost 8:30 last night so by the time they ate dinner, the kids didn't get to bed until almost 10. Kaylee was too excited to see her dad again to go to sleep! They got up ok this morning though! I am miffed because my DS forgot to pack his class B boyscout T-shirt (just a plain shirt with the troop's slogan on it) there, so I am hoping someone else packed it for him! Otherwise we're going to have to buy another one. They are only about $8, but still...he's only worn it twice!

This whole week are parent/teacher conferences at the kids school, so they have early dismissial. I am going to go into work an hour early, so I can leave early, in time to get them from school. I am really going to miss sitting here with my coffee in the morning and just hanging out! Oh well, it's only a week!

Anyone watch Amazing Race? I was SO happy Rob & Amber left. Going from first to last...it was priceless! I just can't stand smug people like that! Now if only Charla & Mirna would go...they are so MEAN! I don't like mean people either!

Thanks for the belated wishes....and an early happy birthday to you both. I am working from home today so I have to try to get off the boards I am seeing the hours tick away and I have nothing accomplished. I just have a question...are there any cruise chats?

Laura - cruise chat is every Friday night at 9 pm Eastern (8 central, etc. etc.) I usually try to make it for at least the first half hour. Some groups get enough people that they go into their own room. We used to do that a lot on the 2005 and 2006 Member Cruise thread and I think the EB repo cruise is doing it now. Otherwise we usually just hang in the main room and chat about all cruises (and anything else that pops into our minds).

good morning! Another beautiful day here! It's almost a sin to have to go to work! We registered DS for middle school yesterday, and were able to walk around with him on campus for a bit. This was the first time he has ever really seen it. Before, we just saw the cafeteria. He is really excited. I am just overwhelmed and sad, it's such a big step, and before I know it, he'll be in high school! *sigh*

It's nice being home an hour early this week, although both kids are home too, at the same time, so it's fighting central. They wouldn't stop bickering in the pool yesterday so I made them both get out. They were not happy but oh well!

I watch Idol too! Love Melinda and Lakisha! I am really worried one of those will go early because of an upset, kind of like Chris from last season or LaToya from a few seasons ago! It always upsets me when really good people leave early because there is people out there that have too much time on their hands to vote (14 year old girls) or vote based on looks!

well, if she booked cat. 12, I believe there are only a few of those, and a lot of people book them since if you are a family of 4, you are guaranteed to get upgraded to at least an 11! So it's very possible that this cat. is sold out already and you can only book gty now!
