DH me sleep in until 1pm today!! whoohoo!! Kids didn't bug me either! I am awake now and jumped on here real quick! I feel guilty for sleeping so long now, so I am going to go tackle the huge pile of laundry. Ugh...kids started using the pool again so I have a gazillion beach towels to wash because, you know, it's UNHEARD of to use the same towel two days in a row! Also have to clean house again! I'll be back later!

I'm back...busy weekend with 3 kids and my mil is in the hospital.

I coached my soccer team this weekend (we are undefeated).

My dd13 had a soccer tournament in Irvine (near Anaheim). We were there all day on Sunday. Her last game was at 4:45 and then we had 1 1/2 drive home.

Good morning! Well, it looks like our nice weather is over. I looked on weather.com and it seems like we are going to have a high of only 68 today! I sure hope it will warm up again by next week, since DS is going to go to Outdoor School in Santa Barbara for 4 days!

Hope you all had a good weekend! We did some shopping, DS went to a birthday party. It was really odd. He had to be there at 3pm. When we got there, the mom said it was supposed to be a surprise party and the birthday boy wasn't going to be there until 4! They made everyone show up an hour before?? How do you entertain a bunch of 11 year old boys for a whole hour? Why not just have people show up 20 min. or half an hour at the most before the party? So then Josh calls at about 5, saying he's bored, they don't have any games. They had pizza, and that's IT! Well, I told him to stick it out for a bit longer, I didn't want him to come across rude by leaving so early! Well, I guess it picked up some (or the fact that the girl he likes showed up ) because he didn't call me again until after 7pm!

Coffee is ready, so I am going to go get a cup and hang out on the DIS for a bit before I have to get ready for work! Have a great day, and Mike, hope the snow is melting your way!

I am doing Kindergarten enrollment at work, and I'm telling ya...email on the enrollment form is optional. DON'T put your email if it's sexybeast@whatever.com, because the whole office staff at your kids school will laugh and make you look like an idiot!

well, it's not actually whatever.com, but I didn't want to disclose someone's entire email on here. I told DH the story and he thinks someone put that there as a joke! Either way, it gave us a good half hour of laughs at work today! I should write a book about the things we hear/see at an elementary school, it would be a best seller. If there is one thing I have learned working there, it is to not EVER tell my kids anything that I don't want to get back to the entire school staff! Amazing what kids will tell you while they sit in the office waiting to get picked up! ("sigh, my dad is probably late because he stopped at the beer store again")

what was with the crying girl in the audience. was that for real? was she retarded? crying b/c you have to listen to Sanjaya sing is one thing, but crying at everyone? Ok, that was really weird.

Loved Blake. Lakisha....eh, not her best, IMHO. Melinda, surprisingly, wasn't told that she looked and sounded "old." A couple of screechers in there. Not my favorite week.

Good morning everyone! Here are my idol thoughts:

As for the little girl - my thinking is she is just a huge idol fan and somehow got to go to the show. She was crying during Melinda's song as well and then they brought her up on stage. Could be she was a make-a-wish child too.

I loved the night because I'm a big fan of songs of the 60's. I loved seeing Peter Noone and Lulu. Blake was good. Is anyone else a Gilmore Girls fan - he reminds me a lot of Rory's boyfriend Logan. I didn't care for Lekesah's song. I thought Melinda looked cute with her new hairstyle and she did great as usual. I was really hoping she would do "To Sir With Love". I think she would have done great with that. Are either Peter or Lulu going to perform tonight? If so that might be why.

As for cruising. Sorry can't do it yet we haven't paid yet. Plus we have another cruise before that. Last, but not least, at my age I don't want to wish a year away that fast.

oy! I went to a meeting that started at 7pm tonight. I left the house at 6:45pm. Before I left, I thought it would be a good idea to turn on the water and fill the pool a little...it wasn't *really* low, but getting there, and since it was on my mind, I did it! I figured I'd let it run until I got home! Well, you guessed it, I totally forgot!! I was upstairs just now, at 12:45pm, going "OMG!!! THE POOL". I ran down, halfway hoping that my DS had turned it off, but of course he didn't (I didn't ask him to either). The pool is WAY full...about an inch or less from the top! Yikes! And the pool guy is going to come tomorrow...he's going to yell at me...in his oh so sweet Australian accent! Anyway...I can't believe I did that!!!

Kay - don't worry. The Travel Channel will run the DCL show again. I read on the main board there should be a new one in early April as well. Since they had a lot of DCL clips in that Crusing Do's and Don'ts show I think that must be the case since they often use the same footage on a number of shows.
