Karen, so glad KT found her games! I always get nervous when my kids want to lug their portable game systems around! When my DS was 5 he forgot his gameboy on a plane. Of course, it took us forever to get it back. I am actually surprised that we did! Stay warm!

Hi! I was delighted to see that other buckeye fans will be on this cruise. My husband, dear daughter age 4 and I will be joining all of you on this cruise so I just wanted to say hi!

Hello and welcome! :welcome: Glad you'll be able to join us and I am excited about getting to know you! This will be our first cruise, it's going to be me (of course!), DH, DS (12 at time of cruise) and DD (8 at time of cruise).

You can email Mary your info (see page 1) so she can add you to our webpage

HELLO!! Are you from Ohio originally?
The first post in this thread will give you lots of information (or so I'm told...I haven't really checked!) :lmao:

you should refresh your memory and read all 58 pages...I'll quiz you on it later! :lmao:

Hi again,

I've been real busy lately.

I think I have a ganglion cyst on my inner wrist so I haven't been at the computer much.

Tomorrow I get to coach my first soccer practice. Wish me luck.

Welcome to another Buckeye fan (I'm sorry I forget your name). I just better go to bed.

good luck tomorrow, Jen! Never heard of a ganglion cyst, but it sounds painful! :crazy2:

Good morning everyone!

:love::love::love::love::love:Happy Valentine's Day! :love::love::love::love::love:

Good morning everyone! Found us at the bottom of page 2.

Snow is done by us now. Just left with the grey crud. Yuck!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! I just can't seem to shake this darn cold which turned into a full blown flu yesterday. I could hardly make it through work! I am home today, and contemplating taking some Nyquil and sleep while the kids are in school, but I am worried that I'll be so zonked out that I won't wake up in time for them to come home! I need to be better by tomorrow since I agreed to work for another gal at work and she is counting on me to be there! I think my problem is, I won't allow myself to get 100% better. It's only just 80% or so until I jump back into my everyday things and then I relapse! :sad2: But hey, I am a mother of 2 (well, 3 if you include DH :rotfl: ) and can't just lounge around in bed all day!

How was everyone's Valentine's Day? I told DH that if he buys me flowers, I'll kill him. He got me a dozen roses 2 years ago, and while they were very beautiful, I later saw on the bank statement that they were $90!! I think that is just a big waste since they are going to die anyway! So I told him that while I like the thought, I'd rather him not spend a ridiculous amount like that on flowers. I am on a diet, so I told him to not get me candies either. We planned on going to a nice dinner, but since I have been feeling so ill and wouldn't have enjoyed it, we'll postpone it to hopefully this weekend, if I feel better. There will be less crowds anyway!

Well, have a great day! I am going back to bed and hope I can fight this stupid bug!

Good Morning All!!

I am finally catching up with everything. I just have to plan dd6's birthday party for the end of this month.

Yesterday I worked at the kid's school all day. Our school bans candy at Halloween and Valentine's day so the PTA sold balloon grams. We sold 3200. We had to blow up the balloons and deliver them. What a job.

Have a great day.

Thanks for the warm welcome by many of you. In answer to your question, my husband is originally from Middletown Ohio and I am originally from Mobile, AL. I lived in Columbus from 1994-1996 and my husband lived in Columbus from 1993-1995. We moved to Lexington about a year age and I serve as the Social Director of the Ohio State Alumni/Fan Club here in town. We are members of the Buckeye Club and make the trip to Columbus 2-3 times per football season to watch our team play. Last season we went to the Ohio State-Michigan game and it ranks as one of my life's most memorable moments as we rushed the field. This year we are planning to also go to the Spring Scrimmage Game in Columbus.

It seems like many of you have been discussing the weather so here is a report from Lexington (cold! BRRRRRRR. It snowed yesterday, however, it has melted again for the most part. Yeah!!! I had enough of snow when I lived in Michigan).

:scared1: in my flu induced sleep I just had the most god awful dream:

We boarded the Disney Magic and everything was beautiful, we went to pick up our dining cards (?) (that had BLOCKBUSTER written on the back) and it said the time we were dining (6:30) and also the last name Chen! We were handed seperately KTTW card to charge things on, last name on there was "Ono". We spoke to the customer service girl and she said it was normal, and to just go ahead and charge something and see if it will go through! Anyway, we met this couple, the woman's name was Laura, and dined at Lumieres. It all looked more like a sidewalk cafe than the restaurant I had been seeing in pictures! :rotfl: The kids had a good old time!

All of a sudden, there was some movement and we just looked at each other and said "it's rough seas"...then the whole ship tilted to it's side (kinda like what the RC ship did...I think it was RC?) Everyone screamed! The captain came on and said they had no idea what caused it but to figure it out, they would have to do exactly what they did prior to the tilting again, to see if it would do it again. Well, they did and it tilted way over again! After that, it went back to normal, and I decided to get up and make ressies for Palo (it was day 2 of the cruise, fat chance I was gonna get Palo brunch ressies. :lmao: But in my dream, anything is possible). "Laura" said she's going to come with me. We went off and walked along deck when all of a sudden we heard this gurgling sound. We looked over the reiling, and saw all kinds of bubbles in the water. As we were looking, the ship started to tilt again and the water came closer and closer, it touched our hands and all of a sudden, it tilted so much that I was completely under water (not sure where Laura went, I never saw her again) The whole ship went upside down into the water! I kept trying to swim up but hit my head. Well, it went from that to everyone being in life boats. Miracleously, noone died, everyone survived! We were at some wooden pier, in Norway, all of a sudden, and while EVERYONE on the ship decided to board again and take the Magic off into the sunset, we decided to take the train home  We stood at the train station along with one sole Holocaust survivor and watched the Magic sail away!

gosh, I should sell my dream to a movie studio and make millions!!

Good morning everyone!

Kay that wasn't a dream - that was a cruise nightmare! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

I can tell you in all my previous cruises nothing close to that happened. Time to have sweet cruise dreams!

COOL!! I am a member of the Buckeye Club. It has to be me b/c dh went to Med School there and if he joins, he has to give up his alumni tickets! So the tickets are ALL MINE! Which I hand over every year to dh and dd. They go to every game,....unless we're out of town, which rarely happens b/c we plan our lives around Buckeye games! In fact, we didn't even consider this year's DVC member cruise b/c it's smack dab between two games!

Dh and dd were at the OSU-Michigan game this last year. I told dh I could sell her tickets for $4000 and I'd give her 20%. She said she had to sleep on it....and got up the next day and said "No...she wouldn't sell the tickets!" Crazy! Last year they actually crossed enemy lines and went to the Big House. That was an experience!

Where are your tickets usually? Ours are in the closed end....about section 3A if I remember correctly!

Maybe some time we'll have to have a little DIS meet after a game. Do you usually stay in town for the night or do you head back to KY?

I know, I know, but right now I have TWO cruises planned with my favorite table mates. :)

I have to be careful posting.....I'm getting close to a milestone post and I must think of something profound. :)

didn't get to post this morning, I had to drop the kids off at school and go straight to work since I am working for someone else today. It would normally be my day off today! But hey, extra $$!! Home for lunch now! We are having beautiful weather, it's upper 70's, lower 80's right now!

Any plans for this long weekend? We are thinking about going to San Diego!

Any other cruisers going to particapate in pirate night.

I already told my kids that they will be pirates for Halloween this year, so we can use the costumes again for pirate night on the cruise! :rotfl: DH and I probably won't dress up too much, but still looking forward to the party and such! Did anyone see, on the main board someone posted live from the Magic that some fireworks misfired and started a small fire by Palos? Scary!! I hope they won't discontinue the firework show, but if they do, I completely understand!

Hi,

I have been watching the news lately and I really hope that all of you back East stay safe. The amount of snow is incredible.

I'll try to log back on tonight.

Kay-

Your nightmare was terrible. I actually didn't read the whole thing because I can't watch or read about diasters (real or imagined). If a plane crashes in a movie I won't go see the movie, etc.

My dd11's 5th grade teacher was on the Princess ship that listed to the left. She was in the casino and 2 of her kids were in the clubs. It took her a little while for her to round up her 3 kids. She says at this point she'll never cruise again.

Princess Cruise Line's HQs are in my town. Alot of my friends will cruise Princess for a discounted rate because they get put on the "Friends and Family" list and are able to cruise for a bargain rate. My dd's teacher was on the local news saying she'll never cruise again and Princess took her off the F&F list.
