Karen, I see you post over at the budget board sometimes. I haven't really read it daily. Is it worth it? Do you get some good deals from there sometimes? I saw the bench thing from earlier today... Did you order one? I didn't read the whole thread!

Yup, I post over there a good bit. We are trying our hardest to get ourselves out of debt after 15 yrs of stupid money choices. But better now than in 10 yrs, eh?

I like the Budget board, but you have to be selective in what you read. I try to avoid all the ones touting the great deals and sales. I only got caught up in the bench one b/c a friend of mine (non-DISer) emailed me and asked if I had seen the sale.

I ended up ordering, but it looks like my order may have been canceled (it says Status: closed) and I'm glad about that. That's $30 that will go to a better cause than a bench I didn't need or want until the hype took over.

Besides, today I spent $116 on sick kitty, so I need to cut corners elsewhere!

My MM is out of date...yeah, I know.
And Mike sent his last one on Thursday, but then there were all sorts of problems with the boards and everyone was busy. I don't think it was posted until Saturday or Sunday....
So I think Mike is telling them to leave that one there for this week and he'll get back on his Wednesday schedule for next week.

The kids are heading to Cleveland tomorrow. I should be packing for them. But I need to do some laundry for them (which didn't get done b/c of all the shows this weekend) so I'm putting it off!

What to do while they are gone? Hmmmmmm.......

Ok, this is funny, since you know the cowboy story.....

We were pulling off of Spring Valley yesterday taking a right on 42 (towards the Holiday Inn with the all black bridal suite) anyway....I waved to someone who was on 42 and was turning onto Spring Valley. Mike didn't see who it was, but he asks "who did you just wave at?"

So I said, "My cowboy."

Then he says, "no, seriously, who was that?"

And I said, "Oh, it was just Ryan." (our neighbors who live across Spring Valley)

And Mike says, "RYAN is your COWBOY???????"

hey all! Good morning! I am here, just moping around! I think I am getting sick, my throat is sore! I miss my bugger, he'll be home Friday! There is no fighting going on around here...it's TOO quiet! Getting ready for a trip over spring break, not far, we are just going to rent a house at the beach, the same one we always rent. It's nice to get away!

I fixed my laptop last night. It wouldn't open certain websites before, but I think I got it figured out. It's nice because I can sit upstairs in bed again, like I do now! So how about Idol last night? While I didn't particularly liked Chris Sligh, I do think he deserved to stay over Sanjaya! I can't believe he is still there!! Mothers, take phone priviliges away from your teenaged daughters, for crying out loud!!

I read that Simon Cowell said if Sanjaya wins, he's quitting!

Thing is, my tween (almost teen) girl can't STAND Sanjaya. So it's not universally a teen/tween thing.

I agree about Chris. He just didn't stand out anymore. The really good ones have risen to the occasion, he hasn't. And he needs some speech therapy...I was having trouble understanding some of his words.

I'm sure his church was happy he got voted out. His pastor came out and said he was worried about Chris and his being around all of the negative influences. He was afraid this would change him. yada yada....
