Hi,

I'm off to work in dd6's class....I prefer making copies in the workroom. I'll just see what he has for me to do today.

I went to their website. I'll either stay there or Residence Inn.

I have to book whale watching for July and then I'll worry about booking this. If I make this cruise because I've been so stressed lately.

what do you mean, IF you make this cruise? I hope you are talking about your Alaska cruise, not this one! Because I'll come out there and drag you on the plane. You can't flake on us now! :lmao:

Is the whale watching on your Alaska cruise? We did that one year on my birthday in April, up in Santa Barbara. We weren't sure at first, because it was like $80 per person and what guarantee do we have to actually see whales? It was well worth the money because we saw quite a few, plus there were many dolphins, which are my absolute favorite!

Of course we are cruising..I'm just cranky today.

I think whale watching in Alaska is $120 and if you don't see a whale you get $100 back. I met people at cruise critic for the Alaskan cruise, they don't really talk to me because I'm bringing kids. I think it is a cruise for the retired set.

I should have already left for school, but I don't feel like it today.

aww...sorry you are cranky! I was like that last night and ended up yelling at the kids before they went to sleep! I felt SO horrible after and couldn't apologize because they were both sleeping when I went back upstairs! :sad2:

I have browsed around over at cruisecritics some, and I just get a weird vibe from there in general! I am much more comfortable here at the DIS but I guess if you want info on any other cruiseliner, they are the best website to turn to!

I have to leave for work. Really don't want to! But...must.pay.for.cruise! I should put a picture of the Magic on my desktop at work! Have to find a nice one. Do any of you have a good one and can send me the original size? Everything I find is resized and looks distorted when I put it on my desktop!

Anyway, I am off. Maybe I'll check in at work, if I have time!

need your email address. I have a couple of really cool ones. :)

Hi,

We stayed at Ron Jon's. We basically had a 2 bedroom condo, but the beds were so uncomfortable that we wouldn't stay there again.

I'm going to look at Country Inn & Suites and the Residence Inn (I think the Residence Inn opened in March 2006).

Where are Country Inn & Suites located in relation to the port?

My 2$
okay cents

this hotel ( I think) is beside the radison alittle closer too the port.
be hind this one and the radison there should be a manatee reserve area
never been there my self but they say you might see one??????

thanks Garry! Is that the one that is pretty new, like opened within the last year or so? It says 1/2 mile to the port, so we could walk if it wasn't for the 4 pieces of luggage AND 4 carry ons. But hey, that's what husband's are for! :rotfl:

I think I'll request a port view so I can be up at 5am waiting for the Magic to pull in and have a heart attack at the thought of being ON HER in just a few hours! Then, I will take a picture and post it on the DIS with my wireless interent! See? I have every second of our vacation planned already! :lmao:

Cool! I'm at KT's rehearsal and I found an unsecure network connection! :)

The only downfall is that I have to sit on a metal chair, up against a wall, with my legs crossed with my laptop perched on top of my one knee. :lmao: The laptop isn't really on my lap anymore, it's more up at the level of my head! I'm sure anyone walking by thinks I'm a freak. :lmao: Guess first impressions can be true, eh? :rotfl2:

Hi,

I love Karen's new Avatar.

I need a new one. I'll get one later.

 funny, I was just playing with one of those candy heart maker websites:

ARE WE THERE YET????

back to the regular scheduled program...

Where are we going?

I went avatar shopping at the User CP store and tried to change my avatar to Tigger but I don't think it worked.:scared1: :scared1:

It worked!!!! Thank goodness I don't need dd13 to do it.

ummmm...Jen....WE ARE GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!! Read the title of this thread! :lmao:

Tigger works! He's there and bouncing the night away!

I was in a self pity mood earlier! Needed some comfort food, so we went out for chinese and I had the best Wonton soup EVER!!! It was the bowl the size of my head, and I almost popped by the time I finished it, but it was soooo soooo GOOOOOD!!! Then we came home, I crawled into bed and slept till now! And best of all...everyone let me do it! They knew I meant business!

Good morning everyone! Been busy on this end so haven't stopped by as much as I should.

Kay - glad you got to spend some "me" time and have a little pity party. We all need to do that from time to time.

Jen - I agree about cruise critic. It is great for other cruise lines but isn't as friendly as the DIS.

Karen - I love your new avatar. BTW have you checked your profile lately? :lmao:

Good morning! Today is my day off. I wanted to spend some time here, but I think I am going to head upstairs and get back in bed! I just haven't felt right these past few days! I am not full blown sick but majorly feeling under the weather. So I'll just take advantage of the kids being gone and try and get some rest. They will get out of school early today! Won't get much of a chance to rest up tomorrow since they have a visitation day for parents at the middle school that I'd like to go to!

I'll be around later!

Ok, here's my day in a nutshell.
Wake up in the middle of the night with a HORRIBLY bad sore throat. Go back to sleep for awhile but end up getting up and dragging my aching body out of bed.
Shuttle Mike off to work after problems with the coffee pot, syncing his iPod (and finally handing mine over and telling him to use that one) and him leaving 15 minutes late. Oh, but before he left he swabbed my throat to take it in for a throat culture (lots of strep going around these parts lately)

Rouse the cranky children who went to bed too late last night.

15 minutes later get a call from Mike "call the office, tell them there has been an emergency and I won't be in."

??????? :confused3 :confused3

Ok, how about better yet you tell ME what the emergency is!!

His heater hasn't been working consistantly in his truck (this is just after he had his $800 90,000 mile maintenance done.) Well, all of a sudden on the way to work, every light on his instrument panel came on, a horrible alarm started buzzing, and his engine started smoking. :scared1: So he pulled over. But he was irrational b/c he was FROZEN. It was like 2 degrees and he had been in a freezing car for 20 minutes now.

Ok, plan B. Skip the latte, skip breakfast, holler to the kids to GET UP AND GET DRESSED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily my kids are good about recognizing when there is something truly wrong and they do not question things at that point (like when we did the same thing when we thought Mike was having a stroke) They were up and dressed with shoes and winter coats within 4 minutes---something that on a normal day could take 30 minutes! :)

So I go find Mike---who wasn't really sure where he was b/c he had been listening to a podcast and he didn't pay attention to what landmarks he had passed. He just knew he was *somewhere* on rt. 40 heading west. ;) Oh, and that there was a hill behind him, and a hill in front of him. :sad2:

So we sit and wait for the tow truck (which AAA says would be there within the next 90 minutes!) Mike had a patient he had to see in the hospital so once the tow truck driver got there 45 minutes later, I went with the driver, and Mike mike went to the hospital with the kids. Took the car BACK to the place that just did the maintenance (24 miles away--AAA only covers 3 miles....21 miles=$63)

Call piano teacher. Cancel today's lesson. Fret about getting kids to rehearsal tonight. (luckily KT's rehearsal was just cancelled, so we just have Nick's)

Sit and wait for Mike to pick me up. Remember, I'm feeling like crap and I haven't had any caffeine. :( Mike finally gets done at the hospital and comes to pick me up. Now the kids are starving (hmmm, stale pop-tarts don't hold them over)

So we eat out at Bob Evans.

And now I'm home. And I've told the story. And now I'm going to take a nap in my bed. :)

Still waiting for the call from the car place. All we know for certain is "you were missing 2 gallons of antifreeze." :confused3

Apparently Mike didn't drink it or he wouldn't have been so cold when I picked him up! :) :rotfl2:

I'm so sick of everything breaking. Shower leaks. Dishwasher is dead. Fridge is making a weird noise. Car breaks down. Flag pole blew over in the last wind storm. Crap, might as well put my car up on blocks in my yard to complete the look!!! :lmao:
