I have never packed any clothing in my carry on other than something for the kids to change into after they get out of their suits (actually, more like just underwear) They wear their suits to the port under their clothes, so we just take the undies so if they are done at the pool they can have dry clothes.

As for Topsiders vs. Parrot Cay, I think we've done PC twice.....when the weather was too bad to sit outside or for the kids to be in the pools.

well we plan on only bringing a small roll on suitcase as our carry on so there isn't a whole lot of room. We definitely won't be packing dinner clothes for all of us, we just hope for the best that our bags will arrive in our stateroom in a timely manner!

We are just planning on bringing a bag for our 23 month old for when we board. I will throw some sunscreen in it and a pair of underwear for Katie. She will have her bathing suit under her clothes. I am sure we can last a couple of hours on what can fit in his bag.

OPEN INVITATION TO ALL LURKERS​

There might be a few lurkers out there who may not feel right about joining this roll call. However, this forum is open to any and all. With only 3 weeks left to go, my feeling is 'the more the merrier.' We're all going to be on the same ship for a week together, so that probably means more smiling faces in the halls and on the deck.

On our last cruise, we joined a forum just a few weeks before the sail date and met a very nice lady and her daughter. We ran into them twice on board. At the theater they sat behind us and it was nice to share a few stories before the show began. Also, we ran into them at the pirate party and it was great to see somebody 'we knew.' Well, after the cruise we both sent 'nice to have met you' posts to each other and haven't heard from them since. Still, it just made our cruise that much better for everyone.

Good morning everyone! Time for a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day!

A great inexpensive souvenir of your trip is a postcard from Castaway Cay. It will even be stamped with a CC postmark. Two things to remember.

1) Bring cash with you onto the island. Unlike everything else on board you can't use your KTTW card to purchase postage here. Bring small bills if possible.

2) Be patient once you get home. The mail moves on "island time" mon so it may take a while to get to you.

Randy - I agree 100%! It is so much fun to meet others on the cruise and run into friends on board. Hope everyone can make it to the 3pm meet in the promonade lounge so that we can all meet in person.

Our family is really excited! I think I am more excited than my DH & DD, because this is my 1st trip to anything Disney. Before the cruise we are going to Disney World for a few days and are hoping to see a few princesses.

Francine - It's great to hear others express their enthusiasm. - the excitement is contagious. You picked a perfect time of year to visit WDW. As a local who once held annual passes, I can tell you the weather will not be TOO hot and the parks will not be THAT crowded. They will be busy, however, they always are.

You can read the forums for great advice, but let me offer a tip from first hand experience. At WDW, just take your time and do not attempt to do everything. There is no way to get it all in! Just enjoy whatever you get. Kinda like going to a new restaurant - you can't eat everything on the menu, so just pick a dish and enjoy it.

Some people say EPCOT stands for Every Parent Comes Out Tired. The parks can indeed wear you out. There's a lot of walking and waiting. Save some energy for the cruise. (I warned my DW the first time I took her to Epcot to wear comfortable shoes and she didn't listen - she had REAL bad blisters by the end of the day).

Have fun and perhaps you can tell us about your experiences at Disney sometime on the ship.

We received our Cruise Docs today!!!! I can't believe how close it is...although I wish it was a little closer. What was supposed to come with the docs. Basically just luggage tags, our insurance contact info, and a book that looks like airline tickets. Thats all we got.

Welcome VooDoo family! We've got a 5 year old daughter too and are also heading to WDW prior to the cruise. Hopefully we can meet up and introduce our little girls!

We also got our cruise docs the other day....do any of the ticket-like forms need to be filled out in advance? Can't wait to see everyone on board!!

We have NOT gotten our cruise docs yet, but I know that we will NOT be getting them in the mail or via UPS, we will be getting ours hand delivered from Make-A-Wish. It will truly be a great time, as our DS got his chemo port removed today, and he will be well healed by cruise time so he can swim/snorkel, do whatever he wishes.

The packing and shopping continues again tonight. . . . YAHOOO!!!:
