we are wondering what time do they hold the life boat drill? Randy by your posting are you with the space program? ccrew welcome to the caribbean crazy cruisers group

Randy I would have pm'ed this. I just informed our youngest DS that you work for the space program his comment was NO WAY! He is really interested in NASA and watches the Internet feeds during the space walks. Along with all the shuttle launches. Currently Pat is working on a 10 to 12 page college English research paper on the international space station and the remaining shuttle missions to 2010.

lurker alert! i'll say option a because everyone eles seems to like it and really, i don't care.....i'll be sailing.:yay: i'll go back to lurking now.:thumbsup2

I honestly can't say where I would rather have our meet. I have never been on the ship before so I don't have a preference. I just go with the majority :)

Ok it looks like everyone is happy with the Promonade Lounge. You board the ship on deck 3 and that is where the lounge is located. Here is a map of deck 3 and I've put a big green X where we should be meeting up. I picked the side of the lounge closer to the internet cafe and farther from the bar as this area tends to be a little less crowded and we won't be bothering those just in the lounge for drinks. Hope this helps.

ok just one quick stupid question... Deck 3 above is where we enter the ship? I assume where it says entry? is that correct? So I enter, and then make a right and go to Rockin Bar D on the same deck for Palo ressies? Just trying to figure out what my first step is going to be without getting lost! :)

Last day of work for me before spring break!

Ok, that picture confused me for a bit. I thought "The Promenade Lounge isn't on the port side of the ship! It's on the other side."

But really, it's on the starboard side of the port side. The rest of the starboard side is galleys, isn't it?

Yes and no. Typically you could do that, but when you first board, that whole area will be closed off and cast members will be there greeting you. For that time, you'll have to go past the elevator banks (heading toward guest services) and then loop back around and track back. I think they do that to maintain flow and prevent people from just hanging around blocking the entry. :)

Yes you enter the ship where it says ENTRY and if you go right into the nightclub district is where they usually take care of Palo ressies. You need to check the sheet they will give you at check-in to be sure because they have been known to change locations at times.

Actually the Promonade Lounge is on the port side of the ship. The port is on the starboard side. How confusing is that? :lmao:

It was just weird because I know when I walk from aft to forward, the promenade lounge is on my RIGHT.....but in actuality, there is only that thin walkway separating the port side of the ship from the lounge. Seeing the schematic was interesting.

Got it! Yes that is a little wierd. Do you remember the night we did the dessert buffet on the 10 day? The ship was rocking that night and I remember walking back to aft stairs to go to my room and I was weaving down that walkway...and I didn't have any of the Banfi to drink! :lmao:

I have spoken to DCL just now, the woman told me that all liquids may still be carried on. Nothing in luggage. As far as boxes....not allowed at all. I asked about water to porters, was told that is okay!

Everyone on the boards (like me) are waiting for a confirmation. Last cruise, we filled one suitcase with bottles of water and then used the 'empty' suitcase to pack our souvenirs after the cruise. This cruise, I planned to put a luggage tag on a box of water; bad news will force me to rethink our packing strategy.

Also on our last cruise, I had a full carry-on bag: Toiletries, change of clothes for the pool, sunscreen, camera, etc. I'd hate to also have to drag around a crate full of h20. :scared:
