April 25, 2015 Disney Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean!!

Is anyone putting together a last minute FE or Pixie Dust group? We really want to participate but just got our info and booked!

I'm really late to the game! We are Disney Cruise newbies! Kayraymm - I wouldn't mind joining a last minute FE or Pixie Dust group with you!!! I would probably just have my 4 1/2 year old daughter participate in FE (if it isn't too late!?!?).

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. My husband and I will both be celebrating our bdays during the trip and we'll be bringing our 10 mos old son, as well.

I'll see if we can find the people that are in the last minute group. They were floating around here somewhere lol

Here is the Info on the White Rabbit Latecomers / Pixie Dust Group

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A TRUE FE. THOSE FAMILIES ON THIS LIST ARE NOT REQUIRED TO EXCHANGE WITH EACH OTHER, BUT ARE FREE TO CONTACT ONE ANOTHER TO SEE IF INDIVIDUAL EXCHANGES CAN BE MADE. IN THIS WAY, WE CAN CONTINUE TO ADD FAMILIES UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE WITHOUT BURDENING THOSE ON THIS LIST WHO HAVE ALREADY MADE PLANS TO EXCHANGE. I hope this makes sense. This list will be posted at Cabin 9142, and is available to those in official FE groups to pixie dust.

This group is a list of latecomers who did not for a number of reasons join the official FE group for the Fantasy (April 25-May2) and are sad about that. :) Feel free to pixie dust any of these families, but unless you have been in contact with them individually, do not expect to receive gifts back from them.

For those listed below:
Many people have been assigned their cabins by now. Would you mind checking your reservation to see if you've been assigned as well?
Thank you! ^_^

Hello! We've been assigned cabin 8638. Looking forward to meeting everyone soon.

You're not on the FE list, right??

But yes, there are a LOT of deck 7 assignments :o

Correct, we're not but just received room assignment and saw that there are several of us on deck 7. We're all roomies!

Hi there! We are very late comers to the FE experience. This will be our 10th cruise but 1st FE. We are looking for families to exchange with. I understand the lists have been closed, just wondered if there was anyone out there seeking another family to exchange with on late notice?

Not doing the FE but I hope we will meet some of you around the ship. Our 10 year old daughter was thrilled to see some names of some other ten year olds she might meet in the club. My 13 year old daughter is a little shy when meeting people so I am hoping mentioning a few names will help her put herself out there to meet some new friends in the Tweens club. Only a few more days, yeah. We are staying on the 9th floor. Can't wait. :teleport:

Clhlaptop, we're doing an informal meet and greet for the kids at 3:15pm this Saturday in the atrium to the right of the staircase. My DD is 13 and DS is 10. Please join us!

Any and all are welcome. I should mention my 13 yr old is almost 14, going on 30 I think sometimes.

I will also be staying on the 9th floor with my 11 year old daughter. We are not doing FE either and hoping she will meet up with some friends at the informal meet at 3:15!! :)

If you all wouldn't mind, I have first-timer questions for our Disney Cruise Veterans - Thanks in advance!

1) Aulani Refillable Mugs - We vacationed at Aulani last year and purchased the refillable mugs. Is it okay to bring those on the cruise and use them at the beverage stations?

2) Air Conditioning - How cool does it get in the dining rooms in the evenings? Should I pack thicker sweaters? We live in So. Cal., so we are rather wimpy with the cold. :)

3) Formal Night - How formal do the kids dress for formal night? I can barely get my boys to wear jeans let alone slacks/ties. My husband and I are fine with dressing up, but I'm afraid the boys may put up a fight.

4) Corkage - If we open a bottle of wine in our room for one dinner, and then finish it the next night, will they still charge us a corkage fee twice? Or will the server note it was the bottle from the prior night?

5) Life Jackets - Are there life jackets available for toddlers at the pools? Our 4yo does not know how to swim yet.

6) Disembarkation Day - We have purchased the Disney Ground Transportation (Magical Express) to take us back to MCO on May 2. However, our outbound flight doesn't depart until 6:30p. We wanted to take our boys to Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral since we will have a good chunk of the day there. Will they still allow us to use the Onboard Airline Check-In program to check our bags from the stateroom door to our home airport if we don't use the Magical Express to go back? (I tried calling, but the hold time is quite long, so I thought I would check on here to see if anyone has done this in the past.) We figured we would visit the Kennedy Space Center after de-boarding the ship and then Uber ourselves to the Orlando Airport in the afternoon.

Thank you all so much! We are so looking forward to meeting and cruising with you!

Hello and Welcome! I have brought our own refillable mugs and it has never been a problem for us - in fact it is great because the ones they give you are kinda small. Most of the time I have been comfy in a dress in the dining rooms but I always bring a light jacket because there are times I get chilled so I would pack one just in case. Formal night is fun but if your boys put up a fight it may not be worth it for them (vacation should be low stress right). Me, my hubby and our daughter always dress up - my son on the other hand not so much and it is just fine. One note though there is an opportunity for a family picture by the ships photographer so depending on if that is important for you may swing your decision one way or another on whether or not to force the issue. I do not think there are life vest on board for the little ones but the toddler pool is very shallow - I always bring them for my kids but only use them when we are in the ocean. Not sure about the other questions maybe someone else will be able to help. Have fun and see you real soon!

If you all wouldn't mind, I have first-timer questions for our Disney Cruise Veterans - Thanks in advance!

1) Aulani Refillable Mugs - We vacationed at Aulani last year and purchased the refillable mugs. Is it okay to bring those on the cruise and use them at the beverage stations? i always bring our own water bottles ...makes it much easier. I just use the cups at the station to fill them to keep with their germ fighting!

2) Air Conditioning - How cool does it get in the dining rooms in the evenings? Should I pack thicker sweaters? We live in So. Cal., so we are rather wimpy with the cold. :) Can definitely vary, so bring a sweater...DD always finds it cold.

3) Formal Night - How formal do the kids dress for formal night? I can barely get my boys to wear jeans let alone slacks/ties. My husband and I are fine with dressing up, but I'm afraid the boys may put up a fight. You will see lots of opinions on this one. This will be a low key vacation for us this time, so no suits or ties for us. On those nights DH and DS will just wear khakis and collared shirts...not worth the fight

4) Corkage - If we open a bottle of wine in our room for one dinner, and then finish it the next night, will they still charge us a corkage fee twice? Or will the server note it was the bottle from the prior night? can't speak to this one...

5) Life Jackets - Are there life jackets available for toddlers at the pools? Our 4yo does not know how to swim yet. i feel like i remember seeing life jackets on the Dream in December, but maybe I am wrong...

Thank you all so much! We are so looking forward to meeting and cruising with you!
