April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Well, I just went from having one headache resolved (passports) to having another one pop up (towncar service). I called to verify they would be bringing two boosters, and I was told they can't fit two boosters in a towncar! Actually, its not that they won't fit, they just take up too much room in the trunk for the next pickup, so we'd have to upgrade to a van (+$30!). My online reservation requested two boosters, and nothing was said about this not being possible. So were they just going to show up with only one and not even say anything beforehand?!?! She was very rude, too. So I went to the transportation board and read mostly negatives about Tiffany but lots of positives for Sunray! :sunny: Same price, same 30-minute stop, very friendly service! The funny thing is that it took me months to decide on Tiffany, and about two hours to decide on Sunray. :rolleyes2

So between wasting two hours on this, everyone and their dog stopping over to say goodbye, and thinking about what not to forget, I've gotten BARELY ANY WORK DONE TODAY! It's gonna be a late night tonight. :sad2: I better not lurk anymore until bedtime...

 Better get some Airborne! Over the past couple of weeks we've tried to stay healthy. I bought this sinus rinse made by Neilmed, knowing my allergies would be going haywire with everything blooming out around here. I've done that rinse every day for the past two weeks, and I've taken zero allergy meds, and have no headaches. Weird huh? Guess it washes out some of the stuff that makes you feel bad. Those kits will be headed with us on the cruise too, just in case we start feeling congested. See, told you guys I'm packing half a medicine cabinet.

I've read about sinus rinses being great for controlling sinus infections, which I get all the time. I've never seen them though. Are they in the cold medicine area? I haven't had one for awhile now, but the next one I get I'm going to try the rinse. Or is it mostly for prevention?

To those of you who leave tomorrow - enjoy the start of your vacatino. We will see you in a couple of days, more than 48 hours, LESS than 72 hours.

Nothing for me to really post about, but come on every morning and night to see what's going on.

DD left yesterday for her school trip from NH to Washington DC. Nice she is gone to see something educational, but she is missed! They went to the Capitol building, met Senator Sunnunu who schedule the tour for them. Had a groupd photo with th ekids. Senator Gregg walked right by them and did not stop to say HI - in 4-5 years, these kids will be VOTING!

DD gets home at 11 PM and then we have to WAIT until 4 am until we depart for the airport. Talk about STRESS :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Take care everyone

Mostly for prevention. It gives the sinuses a bit of moisture, and there are no preservatives in the rinse. It hits the main ones in the nose, and the ones in the front of your forehead. I found them next to the Mucinex, Vicks, etc. in Walgreens. It really does work, and believe me, I'm the biggest skeptic on things like that.

I've been packing all the last minute stuff. Now I had to stop for a bit, and watch the Idol results. But I did bring my carry on stuff in here to work on while I watch. DH now realizes that HE needs to pick out what he wants for formal & semi-formal night. He's freaking. Shhh, don't tell him I told on him though. :) He's getting upset, going through his closet, trying to match up something. Welcome to my world for the past 2 weeks. Ha,ha!

We will be sailing to Key West in 72 Hours. :cool1:

Probably my last post.

We are leaving for Orlando tomorrow evening, to get a little WDW action before the cruise. If I have time I will check in tomorrow.

Talked to DW today about bringing the laptop, it was nixed. I have to agree with her reasoning. The major plus about the cruise is that work can not reach us(easily). The laptop and web access will render the point moot. So home it stays. Cell phone for before and after the cruise emergencies. The only time I have ever relaxed and not contacted work was on our last cruise. It is nice!

I'll see you all in the port Saturday morning. Due to the fact that I have never posted pics, you will not know who I am, but I should beable to recognize most of you. DVC2THEMAX (Paula) and I have met so actually somebody will know what I look like.

See ya in 61 hours!!!

Hey everyone! You won't believe it, but I still haven't packed yet!! I don't know why, but I'm not motivated at all! I have it all here in the house, no last minute trips to the store, but I just need to pack it all up. I do have the suitcases all on the couches in the living room, and I tried clothes on today for formal & semi-formal night. So, I think that I'm good to go on that. Plus, I have most of the dinner clothes written out, so I know WHAT to pack.

I did watch the AI results and WOW, is all I can say!! I don't want to spoil it for anyone still watching, but WOW!!!

We will be bringing our laptop onboard, but not for work, only for downloading pictures from our camera.

We will also be at WDW on Friday. We'll be heading to Magic Kingdom, so if anyone happens to see us, say HI!!! Otherwise, we'll see everyone else at the port!!!

Hi Everyone!!

Well, everything is packed and ready to go!! Took our cat over to my Mom's tonight, packed up the van, did last load of laundry (towels), ran the sweeper and did some light cleaning.

  We leave tomorrow for our journey down to FL!!!!! Yesterday Eric said we would leave when he wakes up!!! I think it will be the other way around, we'll leave when I wake up!!!:rotfl: It will most likely be around 6AM!!!!

Safe travels to everyone!!! See ya at the port!!!

Okey Dokey, I'm checking out for the night - I'm just like Amy...everything is here, but only half is in the luggage..That will be a task for Friday Morning. We're flying out Friday afternoon.
Tomorrow I'm taking the girls to the Orthodontist to get the band colors on their braces changed and then off for a pedicure. Then I'm gonna be cleaning cleaning cleaning. I'm thinking of running out to the store just to get one of those Lysol spray/timers, like the ones you see in the bathrooms at Disney where it squirts out spray every half hour or so....

On one of our vacations we came home and my house smelled like a sewer...I had no clue what it was! I was searching EVERYWHERE!!! I clean like a crazy lady before I ever go anywhere so it was driving me nuts!!!!
We finally figured it out..The Toilet.....A MAN :rolleyes1 (there was no tp) peed and NEVER FLUSHED!!!!!!!
There's Still a ring around the toilet. We were gone for a week. Can you imagine the smell!?!?!?! It was bad. It was in my nose for a couple of days, no matter what I smelled! I hate that!

I've got Tori on Airborn (whatever) and our allergy meds. The track coach has them running in the rain.
I sent the girls to school with little notes stating they will not be in next week.....
I get a call from Nurse Bland...
She wants to know WHY the girls won't be in next week, can I please call her back?
I think it will be the other way around, we'll leave when I wake up!!!:rotfl: It will most likely be around 6AM!!!!

Safe travels to everyone!!! See ya at the port!!!

-Paula pixiedust:
Paula, Casey was talking about her trip to the girls on the kids' thread. I'll be praying for her too :)
When Tori went, she didn't meet anyone! Supposedly Clinton "sponsored" their trip (she didn't pay for it!) and they weren't able to meet anyone - nobody, and we've got quite a few people down there... But you're right. Soon they'll be able to vote - but I'm not going to get all politico on the boards, they'll kick me off!
Good luck with that, you're gonna be real harried!

Val, I see you're on, too....are you stalking the other threads as well :)
And a Big DY No MITE! goes out to ya for the new towncar deal!!!!!

All right all you DISers that are leaving tomorrow! I'll put you in my Rosary Prayers that everything will go A-Okay! And for the Restofus, I'll be thinking of you on Friday and Saturday morning too!
God Bless you and have a safe trip!

Ok, I'm not even sure who's left still, but...

Countdown to cruising!!!
2 days to go!!!
:cheer2:
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well, I stayed up until about 12:30am last night, and got almost everything packed that isn't clothes. Now, I just need to pack away all the clothes today, and we'll be all set to go. I do need to do a quick run to my all-time-favorite-place, Walmart, but other than that, I'm feeling good about it all.

i'm here :teeth:

probably today will be it for me -- Preston is off tomorrow and we have 'plans' for the day :teeth: :teeth:

well really, a workout and any other last minute things. i'm really pretty much done packing and will finish up today. i'm going to go out and walk in this beautiful weather we are FINALLY having here in ohio -- but i can't complain to all my cruise buddies who weathered last week's storm!

have we all seen AI ? i have -- ready to chat when you are

corryn thank you for the travel safe prayers :) i'll be praying and thinking of everyone today, i can't keep who is leaving when all straight -- just looking forward to colliding in the terminal. we'll be the family of four with Pirate t-shirts on and too much luggage ;)

I didn't see it but I heard on the radio that the guy Sanjaya was finally voted off. I'm sure Simon and his bankers are breathing a huge sigh of relief:woohoo:
That's great to have off with Preston:love:
I'm off on Fridays and Ed gets home from work around 10 am, so that's our date day. We usually go to the movies and have lunch. We've been doing this for about two years. We didn't plan it that way, just fell into place, but we're both grateful for those few hours alone together once a week!
So have fun with your hubby :flower3:

Okay I'll be checking in tonight while I'm blazing around the house like the Tazmanian Devil!:scared1:

Weather Update:

Sunday Key West 79 degrees with only a 10% chance of rain

Tuesday Grand Cayman :sad2: 85 degrees Scattered Showers/Wind
(I don't know about you, but showers on my vacation is NEVER a problem! I'd rather be in a rain shower on vacation than sitting at my desk!!!!!)

Wednesday Cozumel :sad1: 85 degrees Scattered Showers

Castaway Cay 83 degrees partly cloudy

Well, I'm not going to be watching the Weather Channel anymore! I'll just take it as it comes!

Here's a little something about the Conch Republic festivities on the day we'll be there:

I'm really looking forward to going back to Key West. Me and Ed spent part of our honeymoon there at the Ocean Key House. Our balcony overlooked Mallory Square....that was so long ago:cloud9:

All right, I've finished my Activia and now I'm off to work.....Talk with you guys soon!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

I'm still hanging in here. Though I guess tonight will be my last posting until we all meet on Saturday. I just can not believe that tomorrow we begin our vacation time - the months have went by quicker than I thought when I booked.

We have one suitcase totally packed (clothes) and locked up, ready to go. I *finally* found some Scotchguard yesterday, so we'll give all the cases a small spray, to hopefully keep them from being stained a lot. Just a few last minute things to put in the suitcase, and we'll be done. Now, let's just hope the luggage all arrives on Orlando tomorrow, or I'll be freaking. Mark is leaving work just a bit early today, because they worked late last night. So he's going to head home and start cleaning up a bit. Yay! I told him I'll do stuff for vacation until 9pm, when I have to quit & watch Grey's. :) I think it's finally supposed to be new tonight.

Good luck at Wal-mart today Amy. :rotfl:

Before I forget or get distracted with work/pack stuff,
more fun and SAFE travels to everyone!
I did watch the AI results and WOW, is all I can say!! I don't want to spoil it for anyone still watching, but WOW!!!
FINALLY! We were scared he was going to win!

Val, I see you're on, too....are you stalking the other threads as well :)
And a Big DY No MITE! goes out to ya for the new towncar deal!!!!!
Sorry I missed you last night, Corryn! I got on briefly to check my post on the transportation board and to stalk the posts I had missed out on yesterday afternoon. I must have just missed ya!

probably today will be it for me -- Preston is off tomorrow and we have 'plans' for the day :teeth: :teeth:
Justin is taking off this afternoon and all day tomorrow (even though I'm sure he'll get 50 phone calls from work from the time he leaves today until we get on the plane tomorrow!). I told him he has to tell his business partners that he CANNONT be contacted at all during this vacation! I'm sure they'll find a way, though. :sad2:

Disney called last night, Upgraded from CAT 4 to CAT 3. Woo Woo:cool1: :cool1:

COOL BEANS! Good for you! :thumbsup2

I'm going to try and get my small amount of work done fairly quickly so I can drop it off this afternoon and maybe get a pedicure (if there's time) and then PACK, PACK, PACK! Everything is in piles and just needs crossed off the lists and put in the suitcases! YAY! :woohoo:

val, what does justin do? gotta get duff outta my head

He bakes cakes! :rotfl2: (Just kidding!) He owns a tool & die shop. He designs and builds metal stamping dies and plastic injection molds--mostly for automotive companies, but they are diversified, too. (Any golfers out there? He's just starting to build a machine to make a newly designed set of Ping clubs.)
