Well, I've been running around like crazy this morning. I woke up late, got the girls to school and took off!! I had to run some errands before we leave, like get a baby shower gift for a party I'm missing, etc. And, I had to be back at the preschool at 11:30am to pick Madison up. A trip to Chick-fil-A for lunch, bring it home, eat, pack up the gift for the baby shower, so I can mail it to the hostess and I'm just now checking email. Whew!!!

I haven't pulled my suitcases out, but that's next, as soon as Maddie goes down for her nap in about 10 minutes. Today is my long day, as I don't have to pick Emily up from school until 4pm, because she has dance class from 3-4pm. I'm hoping to run to Michael's or JoAnn's to get some magnetic strips for my door magnets too. If Madison wakes up in time, we might be able to do it before I pick Emily up, otherwise it will be after.

I'm SO sad for the events at VA Tech yesterday. I didn't even know that it happened since I was so busy yesterday, until the news came on at dinner time. I ended up staying up late in order to hear more about it. It just makes me SO sad!!!

We are all packed and ready to go. I'm sooooo excited. I have that stupid excited feeling in my tummy that I always get. Don't know how I'll sleep the next couple of nights.

I get giddy like that when we're driving over and we go over that last bridge and the ship comes into full view. My tummy just flutters inside, knowing how much fun we're going to have!!!

Benadryl around 9pm is my choice. No, not kidding either. That's the only way I'll get any sleep Thursday and Friday nights.

Our power is still out. The estimate from the co. is midnight Thursday. What's wrong with these people, don't they know I have last minute packing to do? I'm hoping they're just stretching the times out, and we'll have it by tomorrow night at the latest. We have about 2 good hours of daylight (we discovered last night) before we turn on the battery lights - so if it stays this way, we'll be rushing around Thurs. after work throwing last minute stuff in the suitcase, or packing by flashlight. Wouldn't that be fun?!?

i'm here and yes a busy pre-cruise-prep day for me. it was a rough day, i started out with a 10 a.m. hair color/cut to spruce up, then after a few errands and lunch, went back at 2 p.m .for a pedicure. poor me

my heart goes out and my prayers too for all those affected by the VA Tech tragedy. Kevin I understand your friendship over a forum, i have some DIS friends that i think dearly off so my heart goes out to you too. and you know, i'm terrible with faces/names so if you recognize me please say HI too! but won't we see you at the terminal??

DIS Meets:

terminal -- 10:00 on as folks and families arrive

Sat Apr 21 -- 3 p.m. Promenade Lounge

Monday -- Wine tasting

Thursday -- Martini tasting

Friday -- far end of family beach on CC to hang out

We had our favorite local Mexican restaurant for dinner tonight. What's funny is that we've had mexican food for the past several days, since we had it for the party on Sunday and we've been eating left overs.

As far as luggage, no, we don't lock it, and we've never had any problems with it at the port.

I don't think that's so bizarre, but I'm a scrapbooker too, so it seems perfectly reasonable. I'm scheduled to go to an all weekend crop the first weekend in May, and I'm hoping to actually scrap this entire vacation that weekend (so it's actually DONE in a timely manner!!).

And, we were talking to Emily at dinner tonight about how some of her friends from our last DCL cruise wouldn't be on this cruise. She was disappointed, until I told her that your daughter was going to be on with us, and we'd be sharing a table at dinner. She was SO excited, and even more thrilled that her name was Emily too. She even asked if she could sit next to her at dinner. I told her that it was up to her and Emily if they could sit together at dinner if they could be good at the table. So, we'll see, huh?!?!?

Awwww, Amy, that's so sweet! I think the Emily's will get along just fine. I showed Emily the photo you posted with the Shirley Temple in it. She says "ooooh, I want one of those!" Those waiters better be ready!

Well, let's see - my Idol recap: Phil & Jordin were the best. Melinda great as usual, but I am really surprised by Phil this week. Poor Sanjaya. Mark came in, saw the end where he was standing there, and he said "What in the world is that?!!?" So thanks to the DVR, I backed it up so he could see that performance. Mark said "That boy needs to go to the house."

Thanks for the info. I wish we had a good Mexican restaurant around here. The one we have is not very good. We went to TGIFridays and waited and waited and waited. It took so long till we got our food I missed Idol. I guess Sanjaya was really good, huh?

Bye everyone! We are leaving our house at 4:45 tomorrow morning and we will be at the port probably at 1:00, because we are staying at the Poly and taking the bus from there. I am so excited!!!!!! I did do the purple, but only on the underneath and streaked through on the sides. It almost looks black, but it is a dark purple. We will see how long it lasts.

Amanda, I'm really glad your power came back on...There's nothing worse than not having electricity! I was looking at that photo of Emily with that super awesome cake you made and it looks like you have some sort of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves chip bowl? It looks like they're holding up the bowl?

1. What is one thing that you're packing that you just can't leave home without? Portable DVD player. I have a small fear of flying (actually crashing) and watching movies has always seemed to pass the time quickly.
Kevin - I also have a fear of crashing our flight on our way home is 333, which means it's only Half Evil - we have a chance You know, I got a prescription for Xanex. The doctor gave me 10 tablets and they are Very Helpful for plane rides! When you add a glass of wine, there could be a nuclear explosion and I would be a-okay with it
and we're sorry to hear about your friend. Internet or in person, it doesn't matter the form of communication.

Tonight my class was cancelled! So I spent 3 1/2 hours in the library and I Completed ALL MY WORK-WORK!!!!!!! I also have a feeling my Thursday Night class will be cancelled also.....Man SMOOOOOOTH Sailing!!!!!
