April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

:lmao: We have some Cinderella ones waiting in the suitcase also. Whoever came up with the Color Wonder stuff is a genius! We found some clearanced rainbow & neon ones last week. DD loved the stencils they provided, since all she had to do was scribble inside, and it made a "real" picture. I do need to head to the dollar tree and browse for more small stuff for the plane though. Still haven't done that yet.
I know, that Color Wonder stuff is the best!!! Target had a row for Tinkerbell, but they were all out. I'm going to keep searching for Tink, because it's Madison's favorite!!!

Keep asking away, we're happy to help!! Anyway, they do have styrofoam cups with lids and straws. I think that they're about 12-16oz cups. Can't remember exactly, but they're average sized cups.

So, 12 oz is a can of pop. Is that about the size they are, because if so we will leave the refillable cups from past trips to Disney World at home. :thumbsup2

Yep, it's about the size of a can of Coke.

Good cause I was planning to bring the refillable mugs too.

I'm soooo excited!!!

My co-worker that sits next to me has this horrible cold. :scared1: She's all congested and blowing her nose all the time and coughing. I just want her to STAY AWAY!!! I keep using my antibacterial gel hoping that will help.

She went to lunch now, gotta disinfect!!!

She needs to keep her germy self at home - doesn't she know you need to be well for vacation? :rotfl: Thankfully I have my own office, but you bet I have hand sanitizer, clorox wipes & Lysol. I am not afraid to use it either. ;)

I know, and she keeps touching my mouse for my computer!!! You think she'd get the hint when I whip out the sanitizing wipes!!

:scared1: Tell her to keep her icky hands off your mouse!!!!:scared1:

Oh no she didn't. Go buy some Lysol & spray her hands every time she reaches into your personal space. Yes, I'm laughing thinking about it, but do it! She needs to stop that.

Isn't it bad for her to possibly infect the patients too? I'd casually mention it to someone, maybe she can get sent home. :rolleyes1 ;)

Haven't been on this board in awhile. Here are my answers.

1. Do you have any pets? If so, what? how many? names?
Bella an 11 1/2 year old overweight Beagle.

2. What's the one place that you've never been, but want to go?
Italy

3. What's your favorite sport to watch or play?
I love the Dallas Cowboys get a lot of comments from my NY Giants loving family. But how can you love a team that plays in NJ and still calls themselves NY. Also love the Yankees.

4. If you were on a deserted island, what one thing would you want with you?
My family and a phone.

5. What kind of car do you drive? What color?
Lexus SUV - sorta green pearl - Just got rid of the minivan (that I also said I would never drive)

Just bought Happy Feet DVD today for boys to watch on the trip down and also March of the Penguins. Both on sale at Target this week. They also received a bunch of Color Wonder stuff for Christmas that they haven't opened, so that will be coming with us also.

On the sickness front, last Thursday & Friday over 60 kids in my sons' school and 8 teachers came down with a really bad stomach virus. They think it was the Norwalk Virus that cruise ships get. I pulled my kids out of school on Friday when I heard the news. Didn't want them coming down with that and missing school when they have to miss 3 days for the Cruise. Knock on wood they haven't gotten it yet, but I know it's still going on in the school this week but not as bad. Keep your fingers crossed.

OK, so me being a dad (i.e. "A guy") I am not involved in much of the packing preparation. So far my involvement is the suggestion of using my top loading Army surplus duffle bag as a hamper on the cruise. We can hang it in the closet and throw clothes in it. So, when we are putting our bags out in the hall for disembarking, we can just close it up and throw a luggage tag on it.

My other packing contribution is charging the DVD players and packing them into my carry on. I have the one for the kids in it's own bag. So, if we can't sit all 6 together I can give the adult with the kids a bag for them. :happytv:

Our bedroom is currently littered with half packed bags though. Shorts, new clothes and toiletries mostly right now.

We haven't gotten our Cruise doco yet either. But, when we do my response will be something like ... :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

We have a small office, so it's kinda tough.

:lmao: You're much better than I would be. I'm afraid the words would just fall out of my mouth. :rolleyes1  Then again, I have no problem speaking up at work. DH always tells me my mouth will get me in trouble one day. :rotfl2: He's probably right!

I wish I could be like that, although she is the Me, Me type of person. I just had to put up with it today. Tomorrow, and till we leave for our trip, she will be on the other side of the office infecting it. :rotfl:

She is also the type that rubs every vacation that I take in my face because she has to cover my position. Her position is only answering phones, mine is more administrative and checking in pts. ie--she has to work!!!

About packing, we are pretty much ready to go. This past wkend we finished getting the things we needed, and finished spending money!!! I told him it had to stop. It is amazing how much additional you spend just on the little things....extra Tylenol (just in case one bottle is not enough), a Tide stain stick, Downey wrinkle release, other little toiletries and things.

Just imagine how mad she'd be if you were out sick - from getting HER germs! I'd stay sick for atleast 3 days. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I am usually fairly quiet & reserved, until someone does something crazy. Then I just can not bite my tongue hard enough. :lmao: We once had this super annoying coworker who made it her priority to sing loudly going down the hallways. Her song of choice? "Macho, Macho Man...." One day I said loudly to a coworker "I hope she finds one soon so she'll be quiet" I know she heard me.

I went to the Dollar Tree today & found 4 pack activity books for DD, with stickers included. They are small, so they'll fit nicely in the carry on. I have a few more things at home too for the plane, so I think we're set! I HAVE to start packing this weekend. Time is ticking away, and my Saturdays are too. That's usually the only time I have to fully concentrate on what I need to be doing.

Oh, and as a reminder Molli, tomorrow is Wednesday. In case you didn't know that. :rolleyes1 :)

I'm off for 24 hours and the board explodes again -- you stalkers!!

The snake thing has me totally grossed out. All of your stories are like the recurring bad dreams I had when I was a little girl. My kids love to catch the little harmless snakes (and dangerous ones, if they can). When they do, all doors to the house get locked until the snake is away (They would bring it in just to torture me). One more funny snake story......my Mom had polio when she was young and now limps...she is also fairly short. My Mom went to get the mail one day and my brother had put a snake in the mailbox. Since she couldn't see, she reached in and got the snake instead. I was six but can still remember my mother (yes, limping and running), chasing after my eight year old brother. I think he was grounded for a year.:rotfl:

Corryn - our documents came via UPS.

Cheryl - I will go and buy Diet Pepsi with you in Key West!!!!!

Wendy

Mickymania you got a date....I keep thinking one of these trips I'll find out that Disney has gone w/Pepsi instead of Coke and I'll be in heaven. Of course all you coke drinkers will know how Mickymania and I feel without your Coke...

hey gang -- i'm home :upsidedow tired -- lots of driving over the past few days. i tried to read and catch up but more skimmed, my eyes are tired :guilty: we are all fighting off sinus colds here too. but none the less the girls and i did some cruise shopping on the road trip and i'm ready to start packing!!

well tomorrow i have to work  but that's just more drinks of the day for me :cool2:

on the drink talk- - last cruise we packed our travel starbucks mug and used it for pop and such throughout the day as well as coffee in the morning. they are big, twist off tops, thermal. it's the one where you can put your own pictures in the mug so i'll 'disneyfy' it before we leave. also good for a shot of rum in the stateroom and then add your own diet coke :rolleyes1
i will definately be bringing on a case of water to drink (i thought the stateroom water was a little on the well-water tasting side) and my DDs will bring some Mt Dew i'm sure. they feel your pepsi pain

amanda -- i'm here but it's not wednesday :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

i'm going to do questions tomorrow - ok?

no documents here

Missed a few hours and look here another few pages of posts.

I am away from home for a few days. Won't be back until Thursday night. My DW did mention to me anything about the cruise docs.

Bluefalconer, It was me that mentioned that sat phone, must be a guy thing. Also that short handed one hand flip goal was amazing. I mentioned BBall games on deck 10. If we play 2 on 2 I want Bluefalconer on my team. I played guard in high school and the old man's league. Though I do not consider myself short, I am on the wrong side of 6 feet. I am also slow, old and can not jump.

Also Bluefalconer, I will have my son PM your sons this weekend. He read there message last week.

OHMom and BlueFalconer Pop hey, Ohio and Michigan.

Okay let me know what you posters call a carbonated beverage, pop, soda or tonic?

What do you call a sandwich with long bread, Sub, grinder or hoagie?

Me its Soda and grinder.

Ok, for me, the sandwich is called a sub. But, it's a little harder for me to answer the other one because I switch between soda and pop. I'm sure that part of it is that I'm originally from Chicago, but live in FL now.:confused3

originally from PA, so growing up it was soda and hoagie.

Now live in New England.

How about MILK SHAKE - with or without the ice cream?
PA - milk shake was milk and ice cream.
New England - not quite sure still what a milk shake is, but a FRAPPE is milk and ice cream. :confused3
