April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

:rotfl: That almost freaks me out a little bit Amy. If all the quiet ones here (cough, cough) would speak out a little more, I'm sure we could find even more similarities.
I know, it's kinda creepy, huh?!?!?:rotfl2: But, at least I will remember!!!:lmao:

Wow! How old is he? DH thinks 8/8:30 bedtime is too early!

He's 3 he will be turning 4 a month after the cruise. yes its really early but when he went to bed later he was unbearable so we kept moving his bed time back and this time seems to work best. I'm hoping the excitement will help and he will stay up later and get up later(one can hope)

OMG! I think our kids are twins! (This is getting too freaky with everyone having similarities!) I've heard they do have chicken tenders, which we will probably be ordering for him every day. DS5's favorites are "white chicken with nothing yucky on it," "pink steak," tacos, cheese pizza, and "white" spaghetti. Anything other than that is more than likely a no-go.

My son likes the chicken tenders of course, loves the tacos, pepperoni pizza but likes his spaghetti with sauce, isn't that too funny

I used to think I had plenty of time, but now I feel it's slipping away from me! I still have to find water shoes for everyone, but otherwise, it's mostly packing/organizing.

Same with me, i still have to find the water shoes too.

I'm a WAHM (self-employed medical transcriptionist). I think I'm a thread stalker because it's about my only adult interaction during the day! ;)

I'm at home but not working, I'm like Amy I hate house work so I'm sure I will be going back to work when my son goes to school full-time too. This is my adult interaction during the day, most of my friends work...

So I'm trying to do new things with this posting and it looks all wrong, so ladies what did I do wrong? My post doesn't look like Amy's or Val's when they quote....

Cheryl

PS my son also loves Choc Milk but we call it a "Milk Shake O"

cheryl -- your quote looks good to me, what were you hoping for? you can either hit the quote button on the lower right to quote a user, or for a general quote type [ QUOTE] blah blah blah your quote here [/QUOTE ] ---- take out that space in front of first and last brackets, had to add it so you could see the code) adding those brackets will put it in a quote format

ok i should be getting more organized too!! next week is spring break, i'll be gone until Tues visiting family but then it's MUST organize time for me!! i'm 'training' for the Columbus 1/2 marathon on April 14 and today i got my LONGEST walk done!! :woohoo: that is a big load off my plate. just one more semi-longest walk and the training is for the most part OVER! weather was not cooperative today but i was determined!!

i am a SAHM, well i went back 'per diem' in May and work for a small medical office. Preston works for Scotts Miracle-Gro corporate headquarters here in our small town, and they recently built a wellness center. During my tour as a spouse i asked if there were looking for fill-in type employees to cover regular employees days off and eventually i was hired just as that. I get about 15-20 hours a month which is perfect. i'm an x-ray tech

otherwise i'm home with my girls ::yes::

oh! gotta go

Had to break for lunch. Now it's catch-up time!

:rotfl: That almost freaks me out a little bit Amy.

ME TOO!

I know, it's kinda creepy, huh?!?!?:rotfl2: But, at least I will remember!!!:lmao:

I "learn by association," too!

I'm sure I do it the long way, but you have to have the brackets with "quote" at the beginning and end of each separate one. Sometimes I just copy & paste the beginning mumbo jumbo or just add it manually. If there's an easier way, I'd like to know, too.

PS my son also loves Choc Milk but we call it a "Milk Shake O"

aka "candy milk" at our house.

I watch waaaay too much Food Network.

I still need to find time to start watching it! DH was actually watching it on Sunday when I was in the hospital, and he even Tivo'ed some stuff! I would have died laughing if it was Ace of Cakes!!! :rotfl2:

:lmao: I think I'll nickname your DH "Duff" - that's the guy I was referring to on that show. He may not like that though.......:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

So does your lawn look just like the commercials? :lmao:
You're probably sporting a green thumb, too, huh? :flower3: :rotfl2:

And WTG on the marathon! I could NEVER do that!

Does anyone have any experience with the Ocean Quest place--the technical name I'm sure (the one where 10-14 year olds go). My daughter and youngest son fall into that category but I have never heard much about it.

I work in television, but I have a very flexible job. I go into the office twice a week and work at home the other three days. As those of you who work at home know, there are downsides -- my work is always staring me in the face. I enjoy working -- I do get adult interaction, but I like being close to my kids schools and being able to help there when I have time.

I just bought a couple of "tanning" sessions at the gym. I figure I should give my pasty white skin some color before I'm exposed to the caribbean sun!!!!

:rotfl2: That would be hilarious! I'll probably have to tell him about it at some point. I had mentioned that "someone on the boards" thought he looked like a guy on Food Network. That's probably why he was watching it that day--trying to "spot himself." He'd probably never watch a baking show, though...unless he's secretly lurking here everyday and already knows everything we've been talking about (if so, Hi Honey! :rotfl:).

I do it the same way, Val!!!

I used to say I had the perfect job--until I had kids. Now I work around their schedule. Most docs are okay with that but others aren't, which are the ones I've left behind and didn't look back. :)

Oh, c'mon! Am I going to be the only pasty white on the cruise?!?!?!?! :rotfl2:

:sad2: Nope! I am seriously very pale. However, skin cancer runs high in my family, nothing bad, just a few spots here & there. I'm not taking any chances, so I don't tan. Guess I could try the spray on stuff, but I'm freaked out I'll turn orange. Wouldn't that make for some great photos!

hey speaking of....i'm just checking b4 shutting down and picking up Taylor to go tan :teeth:

food network -- my new show is Chefography. and Unwrapped just did a 'behind the foot network shows' that was neato-keen

quote tips -- you can also use that little speech-bubble looking thing on the toolbar in your posting-box. all the way to the right, the toolbar is from left -- something A, bold, italic, underline, color, add hyperlink, image and quote. see what i mean Vern?

and you'll laugh, in our subdivision you can usually tell who works at scotts and who works at Honda. either a great yard or a nice new car in the drive!

I DVR'd a few of those! Haven't watched them yet, but hopefully this weekend. I love behind the scenes stuff like that. The only one DH never liked was for the Dukes of Hazzard, because he said it ruined it for him knowing how they did all the stunts, and that nothing was as seamless as it seemed.

How funny that he's a Dukes fan! I should have known! :rotfl: (My DH was in his much younger days--and I was, too!)

I would bet that I have the whitest-palest skin! I also can claim the thickest hair award. :thumbsup2 I live in NH. The seasons go winter..mud season..flood season..HOT summer. It seems that one day I'm in a turtleneck and the next day I'm in shorts and flip flops. I'm in my mid-forties now so I've come to the conclusion that I'm never going to get a dark tan. Oh well. Also, I have tons of freckles. :rotfl2: At least my children didn't get that gene. My kids are outside playing with friends right now. Our yard is still snow covered. They are in the driveway playing basketball. They're wearing shorts and flip flops. They must be working on their tans.
