April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Apparently brunch is quite popular because by the time our TA paid our bill  , we were only able to book dinner. I check back periodically, but no luck yet. Will have to head down to Rockin' Bar D.

It's actually one per stateroom per meal. So, you can have one brunch, one dinner, one high tea. We're not much for high tea, but we love brunch and dinner!!!

Oh, that's right...I'm one of the unlucky ones that had to wait until 75 days out to book. By that time, brunch was gone...I guess I think it was. It only gave me the option of choosing one, and dinner was the only option. Maybe I can schedule that, too, when I try to rearrange dinner. :thumbsup2

We're going to switch around our Palo dinner too. I accidently scheduled it during Pirate night, and I'd rather be in the dining room for Pirate night.

35 days until we get on the plane!! :cool1: Considering we booked over a year ago that is a short amount of time.

I totally screwed up our Palo bookings (right Val?:rolleyes1 ), but we have brunch on Sunday and then dinner on Tuesday. I still have a reservation for Monday dinner that we will not be using if anyone is interested. Even though we are CC members and booked right at 90 days, there was only one brunch option open.

Boarding has changed since we last went on our cruise....if we are at the port at 10:00 or 10:30, does anyone know what time we will be able to board?

For those who haven't been to Key West, the frozen -- chocolate dipped, key lime pie on a stick is YUMMY!!!!!

I hope this works this time. It's not the best picture but we have so few with all of us. From left to right...

Hey Wendy - boarding still starts anywhere between 11:30 and noon, usually around 11:45 or so. When you enter the terminal, they will give you a boarding number. #1 is for concierge, so the lowest number you can get is #2. That being said, if you get #2 to #5, you'll be onboard within the first 15 minutes. When we sailed last, we got lucky enough to get #2, but by the time they announced #2 and we gathered our stuff, they were already calling #3. So, it happens pretty quickly, that's why I say #2 - 5, is pretty good.

I do have photos memorized--those that have posted anyway! But not everyone has posted them...C'mon slackers--we want to see you! ;)

I just reserved our town car this week. Who are you going with? (We did Tiffany.) What hotel are you being picked up from? I thought it was strange when I did the online reservation, for after the cruise, it asked what time our flight left and it apparently scheduled a pickup time based on that. Our flight leaves at 1:15 PM, so the confirmation says they will pick up at 10:45 AM. I don't think so. Not that I'll be in a rush to get off the boat or anything, but I know we can't stay on that long. I'll have to call and reschedule for 8 or 8:30. I think that sounds like a good time, but I'm not sure.

:lmao: I knew it! So you should know everyone that's posted then, right? ;) As for those who haven't, please don't be shy. We won't stalk you on the boat, I promise. :rotfl:

I chose Lorden for ours. We're at a hotel in Kissimmee. They never asked about flight times, I told them at the beginning what times I needed. From what I read, Orlando to the port is about an hour, so if they show up when I scheduled, all should be well.

Our Palo dinner is Wed. night at 6pm. I'll probably have to move it though. We're doing the dune buggy excursion, plus it's pirate night - and I don't want to miss it. For now, I'm holding on to it, and will decide a week or so before we leave which night I'd rather do. Decisions, decisions!! I told DH I need a commission for planning this entire trip.

I was just looking at the calendar, thinking just a few more weeks! That is unreal. I booked it a little over a year ago, and kept it a secret from DH until Christmas....at the time it seemed sooooo far away. But no more!

DD is unaware of the trip. Every so often, if she's repeating a bad behavior, I tell her I'm going to call Cinderella & tell her she can't come see her some day, since she's not listening to her mom. Works every time. :rolleyes1 If she knew it's only weeks before she will see the Princesses, she would flip. princess:

Our Palo dinner is also for Wednesday, but I didn't realize that it was Pirate night. I think that I'm going to try to move it to Tuesday night, if possible.

We booked back in the fall of '05, so it's been a LONG time for us. But, since we had a cruise in between there, I have had the chance to fill the DCL bug. But, I'm really looking forward to 7 long days on the ship.

You're kinda lucky though, because my girls know and they keep asking "When are we going on the Mickey boat???" And, I'm having a bit of a problem with my youngest DD. She's potty-trained now, but she's having difficulty (mostly because she's stubborn) with getting her clothes off/on. The rest of it she has down pat. I just don't know what to do with her. I've got one month, and I'm hoping, but I'm definitely getting frustrated.

Amanda--You little secret keeper! ;) How did you do it?!?!?! I would have been bursting with excitement! And Emily doesn't know yet either? I thought I remember reading someone had kept it a secret but that was before I became a stalker :lmao: and got to know everyone a bit better. Our boys are so excited! We have to watch the planning DVD almost every night before bed so they can see the Mickey pool/slide and the OC. I threaten that bad behavior will result in no Disney cruise, too. (Am I a bad mommy?) I find myself saying over and over "Are you going to do this on the Disney cruise?" "No." "Then don't do it at home!"

Wendy--GREAT PHOTO! Your oldest DS looks just like your DH!

I'm hoping I get time this weekend to do my trial run on packing the suitcases. We'll see. I've got about half the PassPorter to read yet, too. And stalking to do.

Curlybop,

According the most recent western navigator I've been able to find:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigators/2-24-07/index.htm

I believe that pirate night is Tuesday night. So you might be okay with your Palo Reservation.

Unlike me who booked for Palo Tuesday :headache: we are going to try and change days since I am making my son where his halloween costume (he was a pirate this year).

This will be our third disney cruise and have yet to eat at Palo.

What do I owe to be included in this group... :) :rotfl:

Actually, someone said that the most recent Navigators have a different rotation because they stayed in Cozumel until midnight, so they switched Pirate night.

:yay: More photos!!! I love seeing everyone & their families.

Over dinner DH & I were talking about the Palo stuff. Still undecided.....Tues. is DD's birthday, so we're definitely not doing Palo that night. Wed. is pirate night. Friday is out, due to being the last night, I'd like to spend it in the dining room. I'm hoping/wishing to get Palo brunch on one of the sea days, and I'm not booking dinner there again that night! :rotfl: Hmmmmm.....oh well. Not gonna sweat it. I just know we'll probably be rebooking onboard, so we might get around to Palo dinner then, if I can't make it work this time around.

I hope I'm making sense in this post. DD is running all around me, and Handy Manny is on full blast.... "Let's get going & fix it right...."

Val, it was NOT easy keeping a secret. We had talked about doing DCL for quite a while, so I just did it, made payments, then told DH. :thumbsup2 He was so thrilled at Christmas. I figure to keep my sanity from now until the trip, we'll just keep it quiet around Emily. Otherwise every day, multiple times a day, she'll be asking about it. We've watched the DVD before, and she exclaimed "I want to go there!!!!" I said "maybe someday honey" :rolleyes1

Amy, Does M like dresses? In the summertime Emily almost lives in them. Just plain cheap sundresses or something - she loves them and flip flops. That helped a lot when she potty trained, since there wasn't a lot to fool with. Plus I bribed her. We made a chart & put stickers on there when she did really well. If she didn't, I drew a sad face. If she got a week of stickers, we'd go get a "prize" which usually consisted of a trip to the Dollar Tree - but it helped motivate her, and she didn't care how much it cost! As she started getting better, we cut out the weekly prizes and went for the "big guns" Like a trip to the movies, Chuck E. Cheese, or something that was a big deal to her. Hope she'll do better for you by cruise time!!

Laura, What do you owe? Are you kidding? :rotfl: Come join us - be a thread stalker. It's fun. :lmao:

BlueFalconer--GREAT PHOTO, TOO! I love the bench one in your sig, too! :thumbsup2 Our kids might be together sometime in OC!

Sounds like my indecisivenss about things, too! "This would be good...but what about this...and then put this into the mix...WHAT DO I DO?"

I really thought it would be hard for the boys to wait three months until the cruise (which is nothing compared to how far in advance most of you have booked!), but they have really done pretty well with it. They know it's in April and that it's quite a ways off yet. But the closer it gets, the more giddy I get. :yay: We're already planning to rebook on board, too!

Such fun to be a stalker! I seriously think about it all day (can't you tell?) I can't wait to meet everyone!

Well I have our Palo reservations for the first night, I don't know what I was thinking so I will be with the rest of you guys heading to where? to change my Palo reservations and hopefully get brunch reservations too. I'm sure if I just look around and follow the crowd I'll find the place but can someone tell me where to go just in case I get lost...this being my first time on ship I don't think I'll be able to tell where I am for the whole week..I have a really bad sense of direction...So you will not need to have a picture of me I will be the woman walking around in circles lost for the whole week...

Well I'm a happy camper, I made my airline reservations on SouthWest a while back and had a 830pm flight down to Orlando, I know I must be crazy especially since we have a 3 1/2 yr old but the price couldn't be beat but my happy news is I got to change my flight today to a 3pm flight for the same price now that is more like it.

Also I was wondering if any of the teenagers play basketball I have a 14 yr old that would love to find someone else to play with besides his 3 1/2 yr old brother..

We also don't have much planned in Key West, years ago we visited my sister there for a few days and I just remember it being a small town and so we decided to go it on our own. I will try the Key Lime with Choc that someone suggested.

I thought at one time I had seen a list of items not to forget to pack on this cruise board but I dont seem to be able to find it, any ideas where to look?

Cheryl

:lmao: Phone rings, problems come up, I think about the cruise. People keep coming in my office asking stupid questions, I think about the cruise. Come home have to cook a quick meal, clean up, etc., I think about the cruise (and the fact I won't have to do any of this for one solid week). :yay:

Anybody dressing up for the Pirate Party? We have some t-shirts, if we decide to not do Palo. No full pirate garb here, though I'd love to see others dressed up! I just don't think I could persuade DH to do the entire pirate outfit thing.
