Did a bit of digging in the trip reports and don't see anything recent so hopefully it's okay to post this question to anyone in the Orlando area or a recent visitor who has visited the parks in the last week or two - how busy was US or Islands of Adventure compared to typical crowds?

We are a bit bummed that our already planned spring break trip will be just a tad too early for Epic. As this is only our 2nd trip ever to Universal (we upgraded our tickets from our 2024 trip to APs to "double dip" and get a 2nd trip in) we aren't too sad as the two parks are still very much new to us and we still have a lot to explore. My hypothesis is that the parks may be a bit less busy than typical given people holding back and waiting for Epic? So far for recent or more frequent visitors what are your observations.

As a side question, we are staying onsite a lot longer this trip (4 nights at RP). Any must do things at the resorts or CityWalk we need to try?

Dueling Pianos at Pat O'Briens are a fun evening. Took us a few trips to discover them, and they're a must-do now.

We just returned from a quick weekend trip and got home late last night. We found the parks to be less crowded than usual. They did have Gradbash going on which closed the parks early at 6pm so not sure if some travelers avoided that weekend due to early closure. Everything was very manageable this past weekend and we rode everything we wanted to.

While it seemed quiet this weekend, I would think crowds will pick up around Easter break and for those who have late spring breaks.

I agree with @CAPSLOCK about the dueling pianos. So much fun! This past weekend we enjoyed bar/restaurant hopping around Citywalk. We shared an app and each had a drink at each place we visited which was a nice way to experience a variety of food etc. We ended at Strong Water at Sapphire Falls which is always lovely.
