Hello All

I am new to the Forums.

I am planning a Disney vacation with my family total of 5. Myself my Wife and 3 kids ages 8,4,1 1/2. Already have Hotel book as we have timeshare. I wanted to know as far as flights and rental car when i should book. Also when i should purchase park tickets.

Any Advice would be great

Cheers,
NegaDuck

I'd buy tickets as soon as you can. Undercover Tourist is a well recommended site for discounted tickets. Disney raises ticket prices with short notice; by buying now, you can avoid future price hikes.

Not sure about rental car and flights as we drive, but start looking at restaurant menus. You can make your ADR's for WDW dining at 180 days out. Staying offsite, you'll be able to make fastpass plus reservations at 30 days out. There's a lot of threads on this forum to help you best plan out your FPs.

Best wishes.

I would make sure you buy your park tickets probably by fall. Undercover Tourist or Park Savers are both great places to buy from, Park Savers is often even cheaper than UT. Flights I would either book them as soon as they're available, or then wait until 5-8 weeks out. Any earlier or later than that, and the prices are higher. Car you can book anytime through Expedia, they don't require up front payment and have free cancellation.

Have you ever been to Disney before, and when in April are you going?

Hello all. I appreciate the advice. Yes in my 33 years on this I have gone a total of 19 times. Went in January 2 years ago for familymoon. We are going Easter Week unfortunately can't pull 8 year old out of school.

I would start watching air fare now. Easter airfare is crazy expensive. Which Easter week are you going? The one where Easter is the last weekend or first weekend?

Enjoy the planning! Sign up for mousesavers emails - that's how you get the lowest prices on undercover tourists for tickets. I can't remember if Park Savers has tickets for 2017 already? Might want to check that.

Definitely start looking at restaurants, parks, attractions. If it's not a surprise (I am not a fan of them! I like the family to be involved in the planning) - look at things together to try to have everyone pick out their top 3 must do's in every park so you have an idea on what the plan for!
