We are back! The weather was perfect, the crowds not so much. We used our trusty FP strategy and got to the parks early each day.
Some highlights....
We did the Fantasmic Dinner Package for the first time. It was money well spent!
Good meals at Storytellers, BB, and Hungry Bear
Did room service a couple of times at GCH. A very nice treat!
Saw Aladdin two days in a row. It was amazing how the performances were different. We had fun pointing out the cast changes and Genie jokes.
Park hopping for FP in the morming. It was so nice having multiple FP to use in the evening.
GCH...loved being so close!
Hearthstone lounge...a lovely place to relax and have a good drink. We spent some time each afternoon and evening here.
Loved riding the attractions with my dh. We realized how little we spend together when we have the kids in tow.
The bad...
Plane was delayed for hours because of mechanical problems. We missed most of our first day being stuck at the airport or on the plane.
Decided to cancel Napa Rose after arriving to the hotel only an hour before our ressie. We were too tired and hungry. Luckily they switched us to Storytellers and we were able to get the yummy buffet and have some evening park time.
We didn't get the room we requested. We made the mistake of switching rooms the next day and did not have a room for much of day two. Big mistake...we spent so much time packing, checking out, checking in, getting our luggage to and from bell services. Just not worth it.
Missed the Pirates preview because of our flight delay on Sunday. It wasn't offered on our other days.
Did not ride Grizzle on day two because we didn't have our room to change. Day 3 it was shut down.
Disney kept thinking we had a birthday rather than an anniversary. It was funny how housekeeping gave us a birthday card and towel cake. Then at several meals they wished us Happy Birthday. lol
THE CROWDS I found it more crowded than our December holiday weekend trip. I doubt we will try to do another spring trip. The wait times were never too long, but it was so tiring trying to wade through the sea of humanity in the walkways. Many people were not in a good mood...lots of pushing and bumping.
LINE JUMPERS were everywhere!!!! It became a sport where my dh and I watched how many people would cut the line in each attraction. We started to identify multiple offenders. Disney needs to do something about this. I NEVER see this at WDW.
All in all a very good trip, but my dh and I couldn't help but think we would have had a better time with our kids. Nothing beats a screaming kid on California Screamin or seeing the happy look on your child's face when they interact with a character. We missed that a lot.
