April 2007 Crowds?

We normally go to WDW the first week in March (2/28-3/7 this year) and have found this to be a great time -- far enough after President's Day and early enough to be before the heavy spring break crowds. We're thinking about our 2007 trip.

In 2007, we will not be able to go in early March so in 2007 we are looking at April 14th - 22nd or April 21st - 29th. Easter falls on April 8th next year so I suspect parks will be crowded the week before or after Easter (weeks of 4/1 and/or 4/9). Is WDW crowded in April if it's far enough after Easter?

Also, how do you think the crowds the last two weeks of April compare to the first week of March?

Any thoughts, advice or input from past experiences would be appreciated. :)

Not sure, every year is a little different....Spring Break time? If the schools are closed...it's crowded. Frommer's Guide to Disney states that the absolute worse time to visit is during Spring Break - usually two weeks prior to and after Easter, lines are horrible (wait times have been upwards of two hours for the popular attractions), local restaurant wait times lead to starvation, and traffic on I Drive is like being on the LIE during rush hour. With this information behind you, I think I would choose April 21 - 29!

First - glad to hear that the first two weeks are not bad as we will be going for the first time in march next year.

Massachusett has the thrid week of April off (16-21) for School break as I believe alot of states may also have this school week off.

The disney calendarI checked shows the first two weeks of April as Primier Season (high crowds) and the rest of april as Magic Season or second highest crowd level.s

Two years ago we went the last week of april (normally go first or second week in May) and found the parks to be pretty crowded and the cost of the flight alone was double then what it normally cost us in May. This was the only time we've ever gone in April so perhaps it was tnot he norm for that time of year

We went this April for the first time...we normally go in Oct and Nov/Dec timeframe.....we were there this April for Easter.....crowds and lines were bad up until Easter Sunday, fortunately for us we have been to WDW so many times we were able to do a lot of swimming, skipping the big rides etc....after Easter Sunday the crowds thinned out a little a we used FP and EMH to our advantage and did everything we wanted to do...and then some !!
