April 2, 2005 Magic-First DCL cruise-anyone going?

Hi Crystal,

We are up on deck six but my niece, who will be 8 at time of the cruise, will be in the Oceaner's Lab section with your son.

Hi Crystal
My DS Clayton will be happy to hear there's another 8 year old boy in the "group". We've got a Secret Porthole Room on Deck 5 just behind the kid's club. We've been looking forward to this for MONTHS! Can't wait for it to get here!

Hi everybody! My son and daughter I guess will be in the same group being ages 8 and 9 at the time of cruising. My daughters name is Cassidi and my son is Austin. The night before we are staying at Holiday Inn select MCO. I hear some of the rooms are moldy. They are all booked up for that day and so is the Hyatt at the airport so I guess theres no changing now. I got the room on priceline so I didn't get to pick the hotel. Hopefully its not as bad as Iv'e heard. It was one of the 3 star hotels and they do have free shuttle from the airport. I think the hotel won't matter as long as I'm in Florida with one day to go till the cruise!!! 85 days to go!! Crystal

I don't know anything about that H/I, but I'm sure it'll be fine for one night. Your family will be so excited about the cruise anyway! You might even meet some other families who will be on the cruise - we met plenty at the pool the day before (at the Radisson). Just remember Lime Green and Mickey heads from Home Depot's paint department "Alien Green" is the color!! See you REAL soon!

Looks like I am the only one w/o a name in the roll call posted last night--Sorry to have ignored the thread--I am still focused on the Wonder in 9 days, and when I return I will have 11 weeks to build up to the Magic.

Logan1_2000 is Steve, DS(8 now, 9 for the Magic in April) is Harris, DW is Amy.

Two years since our last DCL cruise--at age 6 DS told us he was bored with the Oceaneers Club and really wanted to be a part of the lab. Could have gone and gotten him in the Lab a year ago, but was already planning a WDW trip for 11/04. Then that got cancelled for a variety of reasons that are all better now, so doing the Wonder to make up for that trip and finally, the Magic (booked in Oct. '03)

Hello everyone!! We will also be going on the April 2 cruise. It is our 15th Anniversary and we have several families going. In my family it is me, my husband, DS (12) and DD(9). We will also be attending WDW the week before our trip, so we'll leave WDW and go straight to the Port. Nice to meet you all. Our countdown is getting smaller !!everyday. :flower1: :flower1: :flower1:

Welcome aboard! We will be celebrating our 10th (sort of, it's really not until July, but that is why we decided to go a cruise in the first place). I CAN'T WAIT!

Welcome! 15th Anniversary for us too! (April 7) plus a birthday. We're in Georgia now but moved from No. California a few years ago. We lived in Sunnyvale / Cupertino area.

Hello and welcome Tink386.

I cruised with family group on the Wonder in 2003. It was nice since there was a variety of things to do for all ages but meals were together. This time it is just my sister & family and myself.

Just a shameless bump to the top! My countdown clock is winding down! It's a balmy 5 degrees here this morning...I'm ready to be on the Magic! Paid the balance with AllSeas this week so we are ready to go!

Doesn't that feel good? Paying it off! We're going to go down to the wire (I think Jan 31st is the due date, but we're half paid off so it won't be *too* bad!!! Love watching that countdown clock! Before you know it, 5 degrees will be a distant memory!!

We just made our final payment too. We are about to book our excursions. Had to sit down with FMIL to see which ones she would like. So I'm going to see about booking those next week.

I'd like to do High Tea, anybody else interested? Has anybody done it before and how did you like it?

I've been looking at the various excursions too. Chase - my older DS has seen one to many Jaws movies and isn't really thrilled about doing any snorkling (except maybe on CC). So I'm looking more at either the beach breaks, or the eco tours...

He told me recently that on our trip to Hawaii last summer he and his dad were the last two off the snorkle boat for a reason...they were watching for that fin... :fish: :scared1:

I'm going down to the wire too :( on payments. Just my luck that my payday doesnt fall until the end of the month. Been making small payments all month.

Tell your son to stay away from these boards or he'll never get into the water! :fish: Saw a picture of a barricuda fish at castaway cay ...eek... and to think my parents couldn't keep me out of the water when I was a kiddo in Hawaii. Haven't played in the ocean in years. Some of those pictures make me think twice too !

I booked my excursions at 90 days out. Some of the excursions are full already so if you have something special in mind, sooner the better.

::Gasp::: already full....oh no...I just want to go on one little excursion. Beginning to wonder if I should just go book it now through the company and forgo disney. :(

I booked the excursions without being paid in full. Disney had no problem with this because I went through a travel agent on my cruise reservation. You can call Disney and see if they will let you book now. Your not charged for excursions till you take them. Some excursions are more popular than others of course. You can call and see if the one you want is still available.

Thank you thank you thank you :cool1:

I got my ressie for the 12 meter regatta! Now i can only hope I don't get sea sick!

You definately had me worried when you said some had booked ! Now if I can get the rest of the Spa arrangements this easily :) That should be fun

So is everyone else dreaming of beaches and oceans yet??
