April 1st or April 7th...which would be better to go?

Hi,
With all of the discussions about Easter, I'm a lilttle worried about when to go. We have the option of going either April 1st or April 7th. We can only stay a few days. The thing I'm wondering about is (because of the way Easter falls this year) will it be better to wait until the 7th to go? Will there be a difference in crowds? Please help, we have to try to get a room booked soon.

I was also facing the same dates challenge. I deicede to day that the 7th it is, plus the week earlier it was booked up and I wanted to take advantage of the EARLY MAGIC HOUUR by staying on DIS PROPERTY!

we arrive sat 4-2 7:00pm

since easter is the sunday prior, 95% of the easter crown will be gone by sat and sun for work on mon.

Sat 4-2, disney has even scheduled to shut down the seasonal rides and restyrans like time keeper and body wars,

I am ready for a nice relaxing time

I would argue that waiting the extra week will add crowds as more northern areas take spring break

We arrive early 4/2, at about 12:30 am, and we picked this week because not only is out our anniversary, easter vacationers should be home already, spring breaks for colleges are usually over, and it's too early for April school vacation. We're hoping for lighter crowds and warm, warm weather!!

we chose 4/5-4/12... some people may be taking a week off for Easter and still be there. I think GA, KY... some schools in those areas have spring break that next week (4/7)... so, on the whole, I think it will quiet down, but probably not much... just as one group leaves, I think a new pack will be ushered right in (along with us!)... I'd say pick the dates that works most conveniently for you.

I can only go for one day and it is Friday, April 1st. What I am hoping is that we will have the extended hours - MK is open from 7 am (EMH) to midnight - as well as the Easter crowds will have started to leave. I'll let everyone know when I get back!!!!

We'll be there 4/1 because of the kids' spring break. Would have definitely preferred the following weel as the big air show in LAkeland will be going on and we like to attend it too. Well, the last few years the GA school system has not cooperated with us.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think we're going down the following week, April 7th to be exact. I think, though, that it'll be about the same on the 1st of April as it is the next week. I hope someone posts trip reports while they're down there the week after Easter Sunday. I'll post when I get back. Maybe that'll help for next year.
