The Orlando Informer crowd calendar has projected that week as Busy (which at least is not as bad as the early April levels of Very Busy).

It’s usually pretty busy. It’s a spring break week for all of little Rhode Island anyway. I believe other places in New England also but not positive. Not nearly as busy as the week of Easter or the one after though.

We will be there from April 16-21 and I keep going back to check rates and they're only showing rooms available at Endless Summer. (for our dates anyway). Yikes. Not a good sign.

So we are visiting the week of April 10th through the 17th at both Disney and Universal....I have been to both parks pre-COVID with capacity at 100% and I don't EVER suspect I visited during a 35% day at either park. I guess I don't exactly know what anyone means when the park is busy versus very busy with a 35% and 50% capacity at either parks?

Look at the crowd predictors.
There is reduced ride capacity and restaurant capacity. So, it balances out since there is less places for the people to go. You still get long lines. It has been crowd level 9-10 this Spring Break.

Like the previous poster said At 100% capacity days the parks have 100% of crowd absorbing attractions and restaurants open. With Covid reduced crowds the parks are adjusting with fewer options. So it still feels like a full capacity crowd.
Normally things like single rider lines and filling every seat in the ride cars help move the line along, now with socially distanced seating, extra cleaning time, etc.

Pre Covid We used to travel at “off” times and found lines (at Disney) to be just as long at the end of January as at busier times (the end of May) because there were fewer lines available.

That is what we are expecting it to be like next month at Universal, like a normal busy time (but not holiday type crowds).

My son and I will be there from 4/17-4/20, staying at PBH. I cannot imagine it is going to be anywhere near as busy as it has been the last few weeks, based on the reduced operating hours for both parks.

Well, this is annoying. The hours are different on the phone and the app. All I really care about is the closing times because I want to make dinner reservations.

These hours are what has been confusing me- I feel like the crowd level will still be fairly high, so I have been pretty surprised to see the hours that short. I’m really glad we have the express pass through our hotel, because I just feel like those hours aren’t quite adequate unless the tourism is gonna drop way off after Easter week.

We're going the same week, staying OP. I think we'll plan to go Mon-Wed to maximize rides, then meeting up with local family on Saturday and probably focus on shows. I was disappointed with the shorter hours, but hoping to make a dinner reservation if any are left.

We leave Saturday and will be down next week. Our experience traveling around this time of the year when Easter falls in early April is that March is crazy busy with spring breaks and then the busiest weeks being the week leading into and out of Easter Sunday. I think crowds will start tapering off this weekend. Yes there are pockets of the country that have Spring Break later into April (specifically New England), but I am betting there isn't going to be nearly as much travel with COVID. I think the park hours also reflect that from what I am seeing. I am expecting crowds on the weekends and low to moderate crowds during the week next week. Obviously its all relative though, because with lower crowds and capacity limits there will still be lines but I don't think it should be at all crazy. I was looking at the wait times yesterday afternoon around 2 and they honestly didn't seem that bad at all (if the app was correct).

We are going M-R that week. I'm not sure what to think. EP is pretty expensive and hours are short. But...this is a last minute trip and I was able to get an APH rate at an Express Pass hotel for that time two days ago, and it looks like there is still APH availability this morning. I guess we will all find out!

I ended up buying a one-night stay at RPR so that we can get EP cheaper than buying them direct. 4 days to go!

Based on the huge volume of traffic headed north on I-95 through Savannah this past weekend, I cannot imagine too many people are left in FL!
Seriously, when I drove over I-95 in Pooler, GA on Sunday, the interstate headed north was backed up from the GA-SC border all the way south of Pooler. Even last Friday, it was backed up at least 10 miles from the border. This always happens at the end of a holiday weekend/week since the road goes from 3-4 lanes in GA to only 2 lanes in SC. The volume headed southbound has looked about normal.

Thanks, I forgot I had a Touring Plans subscription and so I checked their calendar as well. They show that week drops down to a 3 the week of the 18th, with the parks being at 9 or 10 this week and last week.

So Touring Plans shows it being very low crowds and the Orlando Informer says Busy. Love the consistency
