Hello Everyone, Happy Saturday !

Just wanted to let you know, Denise, that we got another 12" of snow here overnight. ENOUGH ALREADY !!! The snow banks are so huge here it's unbelievable.

And, it's official, Kelly is coming on the trip with us . Too many things to worry about if she's one place and we're in another. Hopefully she'll have so much fun that she won't even give the ROTC trip a thought while we're cruising. Now that it's decided, she's after me to go shopping for new cruise clothes.... how quickly she's turned around!

Welcome to all our new friends! :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:

48 Days !! :dance3:

I've been doing my darndest to keep up with just reading this thread! Y'all make me feel so unprepared! :sail:

Anyway, it looks like we'll be there in time for Fishlips, so could 4 more be added to the ressie? 2 adults and 2 kids

I figure it's a good way to let everyone decide if they want to avoid us on the ship.:scared1:

I know exactly where that is. I spent me teenage summers at Squanz & Candlewood.:beach:
I live near the Brewster schools. My parents own a convenient store on Fairfield Drive, the Citgo station and the house next door. Although they dont live there.

This will be our 2nd DCL western cruise. You will love it. So much to do. Any excursions planned?

On a different note. Thank you to all who sent prayers for my good friend. She had a masectomy on Thursday and is doing ok. Now the hard part starts, chemo. :sad2: I appreciate all the good wishes from my DIS friends.:grouphug:

HyperMommy has been after me for weeks to get on and post.:guilty:
Maybe just to prove that she really has a husband and hasn't run me off with all her hyper ways.:rolleyes1
I've been working on a pre-trip report documenting the preparation aspects of our free cruise and how we are dealing with the associated costs. It will probably titled something like "Who knew a free cruise could cost so much?"
And yes, I'm the tightwad in our family; who else would cry about a free trip?
It seems that as a result of Christmas expenses and paying for a week in "the World" in Dec 07, the cash flow slowed to a trickle. So I have been the one wondering how to pay for it all while Mrs Hyper charges full speed ahead:scared1:
She is worth it though (right dearest), and I wouldn't change a thing.
For those that might be interested, I'll clue you in when I'm ready to post the Pre-TR. Bye for now...

For all you newcomers... the "Yankee Swap" info. is post # 1391 located on page 93 of this thread. The original posting for the "Yankee Swap" was post # 956 on page 64 (that seems like a long time ago!) if you want to go all the way back to the beginning.

Hope we get lots of interest, it wil be FUN!

"Fish Extenders" are fabric "pocket charts" that you hang from the fish hook that is outside each cabin. dissers often leave little trinkets for each other in the pockets of the fish extender. There are quite a few threads about fish extenders, if you do a search you can learn more about them. Some foks on this thread are participating in that fun activity throughout the week.

Welcome, King Charming! We saw your picture, so we knew you existed. Can't wait to read your pre-trip report! :surfweb:

Hello Everyone

Just wondering if any of you experienced cruisers can help us out. We're trying to book our flights - of course we can't fly out of NY/NJ area - prices are out of control (700pp). So we're thinking of flying out of Washington D.C. - my problem is I have two flights to choose from for the flight home. One leaves at 11:40 a.m. - the other is not until later that night. Does anyone know what time disembarkment usually is and what is the recommended time for flights home???? Is 11:40 too early (will we be able to make the flight)????:confused3

Any help is much appreciated!

We are staying in the Hyatt at the Orlando Airport. We should have gotten a room by the boat. Oh well, there is always next time.

why get upset about not being by the port?? the only reason we are near the port is because my daughter Jenny is probably going surfing (if the waves are good that day) on Friday after we check in at the hotel. I have heard/read the hyatt is a really nice hotel. Enjoy!!

Hello again

Haven't been on in quite a while! We booked two excursions -
Cozumel - all inclusive at the Wyndham (not thru Disney); and Grand Cayman - Buccaneer catamaran to Stingray City, Grand Barrier Reef and Coral Gardens (also not thru Disney). Has anyone done either of these excursions?

I know I read a few of you are staying at Country Inn & Suites - what rates have you gotten?

Can't believe it's coming down to the wire - just next month!!:cool1:

Hi Gail,
I have read you probably can make the flight home however, I wouldn't personally I would be too nervous on missing that flight.

You never know if they would start disembarkment late for some reason why take the chance.
is there another flight that is a little later??? Mco airport is actually a nice airport if you have to hang out for a few hours.

We can take the later flight - but it's not until 7:50 p.m. We have friends that work at Animal Kingdom - so maybe we can meet up with our friends for a short visit. Thanks. I was thinking it may be risky.

Hi Joan,
Could you please count me in for the Yankee Swap. We'll just do one family gift I think. I originally said no but I changed my mind. Thanks,
Angie:cheer2:
