Well, I had to finish the estimate for the plumbing company. I sure hope they go for it ... if they do, I know I'll be booking another cruise!!!!

Then there's this nasty little thing called my regular job that keeps getting in the way. Bummer!

I don't think the Disboards does a very good job of alerting me of new posts. I have it set to instantly email me, but it seems like I'm lucky if I get one email per day. That is part of my excuse.

Anyone willing to show a pic of their fish extender? Looking to see what my "competition" is up to! Thanks for sharing! I am headed to the store this weekend or once the roads clear. And I got to work on my door magnets too! Thank goodness my husband is handling the snow or I wouldn't have time to "play".

We got a good amount of snow as well, but that didnt stop us from picking up some nice little gifts for the fe's! You know , I was surprised when I looked on Joans list and saw how few kids are participating in the fish extenders. Come on people get on board! (no pun intended )
I need someone to give these gifts to!

As for making my own magnets, I haven't yet, but the process doesn't seem all that difficult once the image is made. Not sure if I'm going to go buy several sheets of the magnet paper (that you can put through an inkjet printer) or maybe just a few of those business card sized ones with the sticky front and I can cut them up and just use them in the corners of my documents. I'm trying to decide whether or not to laminate them.

I may also put my room number or something on the back of them becuase I've heard that they sometimes get "lifted" from your door, particularly the better ones. I'm not saying I'm a great graphic artist or somethig but I know I love the spoiled rotten and rum ones and I'd hate to see them get lifted.

Longtime reader of the Dis, but just joined. Thanks for all the great info. We will be cruising with another family ( non Dis). Would love to meet everyone at the meet on Sat and sure my kids will run in to all the others at the clubs. They are very excited. Here's the fish extender on photobucket. I'm going to work on it some more by adding my own touches. You can see I already put the kids names on it. It's definitely better than me sewing or hot gluing something together, I'm so bad at that stuff. Here's also some info from Ebay:

Welcome to the newbies. We look forward to meeting you.

Thanks to all who send prayers for my friend. I am sick over her illness. She was told today that is in the lymph nodes. Next week she has her surgery and hopefully they will get it all out and she will have chemo and get better.

I read all the posts I missed in the last couple of days. I am trying to figure out how to do a large door magnet. Can I bring a picture to Staples and have them do it? I dont think I can put a magnet through my printer.

I bought mine at Walmart.

I got the magnet paper at Walmart for about 8$ for a pack of 5 sheets. It is the same size as printer paper and very thin so it will go through the printer. Diane, I only covered the face. I used a laminant that I also got at Walmart for 4$ for a pack of ten. It is the peel and stick kind.
