April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

Ok, I'm a little nervous...anyone ever stay at AS Sports?? Everyone is so negative about it on the resorts board.

I have wanted to stay at one of the allstars for my oldest, I think the themeing is great. I know the room is going to be small and don't think we could stay more than 2 nights...due to the space. But I booked it for the 2 nights before the cruise... We usually stay at Moderates and have stayed at the Poly, as well. Please tell me that it isn't as bad as I've read. We will be driving down, so we'll be using our own car to get around.

TIA!!

We used to stay at the as sprorts before we tried the moderates. The rooms are fine and the the themes are great. The only thing that drove us away and over to the moderates was the mad rush at breakfast. The food courts seem to be less crowded and crazy at the moderates.

Look at the size issue as a way to get used to the size of the stateroom- so it's not such a shock going from a large hotel room to the cabin.
I've never stayed at ASports, but we did stay at Movies and POP before we became DVC owners. The value resorts are fine, especially if you're there to hit the parks before the cruise and are using the rooms for what they are intended - sleep. I'm sure your son will really get a kick out of the decor.:goodvibes

Thanks....and because of the size of the criuse cabins, we get a room w/a balcony..just for the extra space. I love sitting out there in the am or reading a book as we cruise.

Thanks...we usually grab breakfast at the bakery at MK or MGM when we arrive..so that would be a good idea this trip, too.

Well I off to pack. Leaving tomorrow for the Wonder. I will catch up with everyone when I get back. The weather looks good for the cruise. I am going to keep my fingers crossed.

I didn't know what to call it. A booklet with information about the cruise...shore excursions, tips on packing, etc.
Still, it reminds us that it is not that far off!

Fairwinds....

I didn't get a packet yet either:confused3. For some reason though, I remember getting all that type literature from the travel agent when I received my documents for my April 2006 Wonder cruise.

I´m so glad.I finally overcome my computer problems and managed to make a reservation for 4 Adults with Captain Marvin in Grand Cayman. So we will see the Stingrays and go snorkeling.:yay:
Now we only have to decide about Cozumel-no idea.:confused3
Take care everybody
Conny:flower3:

I know this is a common question, but I for the life of me can't remember the answer. What is the earliest time DCL recommends that you book your flight home after returning to Cape Canaveral? I found a decent flight at 12:35pm (out of MCO) and was wondering if that would give us enough time to make it to the airport.

I sure hope to because that is what time my flight is. I do believe DCL recommends 12:30.

is there a smilie with a pouty lip? there doesn't seem to be one with just the right mix of sadness, jealousy and indignation.

I keep looking for the smilie that cries. I have seen people use it before and can't find it. That is how I felt when DCL came out with the 2009 itinerary. I REALLY wanted them to go to Alaska.

The cruise packet went to the travel agent first. They put a sticker over their address and hand wrote my address and added new stamps.Try calling your TA.
