April 18th, 2009! - PATRIOT'S OF THE CARIBBEAN - Western Magic!

We just had to rent the condo out in Cocoa Beach for the month of April which then kicks us out for the measley two nights we were going to need it for - so we are now at the Best Western by the Pier for the 17th - on the 16th we are staying at PoP Century.

Anyone else flying out of Logan on the 17th on Delta 3:00 pm flight?

I stayed at the Radisson a couple of times. Our room was so dirty last time I have not gone back. We had a whole bag of potato chips smashed up under the bed. My kids like the "kids suite" at the Country Inn and Suites so we usually stay there now.

I am on the 16th on the 10am Delta flight out of Logan.

I chose the Best Western because its next door to our condo and right at the pier and on the water. Those kids suites sound nice, though.

We are leaving Chicago Midway on the 17th bright and early, and then staying in Cocoa Beach for the night!

we are laving venezuela on the 7 to aruba for 1 night then the pop century for 10 nigths, the cruise and then 2 more nights at the pop then back to venezuela:sad2:

I just registered on the private link - thanks for providing.

My family is from Foxboro, MA and this is our first Disney cruise! We're counting down the days. We've been DVC members since 1999, but we didn't go to the parks last year and are sooo excited to set sail in 61 days!

WELCOME!!!!!

yogibigdog - I am a former long-time Rotarian - only not now due to schedule and inability to attend meetings! I actually have attended meetings on cruises!

Its been a rough past week and weekend with my schedule - I will try and get everything up to speed soon!

OK - front page update! :thumbsup2 Check to make sure I got it all right. WahKoMom, tell us who's going with you!

Julie, if you want to take this over to the other board and make sure its updated there too, that would be great!

Its great to see everyone new! I am still shocked, outahere, with that news about Main Dining. I think I will spend some time today playing around and getting all my stuff registered.

Happy President's Day everyone!

I am still shocked, outahere, with that news about Main Dining.

Update on Main dining -- It appears that either people are switching from Late seating to Main, or more people are making reservations. I did a "dummy" reservation on Saturday, and Main dining was no longer available. I was still able to choose a cabin in both cats 5 and 6 though.

My husband and 2 sons will be taking our very first Disney Cruise 4/18/09 to the Western Caribbean and we are so excited. We will be celebrating our son's 10th birthday (4/19) and our Wedding Anniversary (4/20) that week. My baby will be 10 months old when we cruise! Any advice for first time cruisers is appreciated, especially if anyone has cruised w/baby before!! Also, looking for best shore excursions, if anyone has any advice on that. :cool1:

We have the main dinner seating, which I have heard good and bad, so not sure which seating is better. Any advice? Boys are 10 and 10 months!

DH and I just booked this cruise on the 3rd of February!! Super Excited!!! Although I have a lot of planning and catching up to do:goodvibes

Just my personal opinion, but with kids that age I think Main dining would be best. They stagger the seatings every fifteen minutes starting at 5:30, so you would either have 5:30, 5:45 or 6:00. If you have Late dining, they also stagger starting at 8:00, so it could be as late as 8:30 before you start dinner. If you have Main dining, you go to the shows after dinner. If you have Late, you see them prior to dinner.

If you have a preference as to which time you want, you (or your TA) can call DCL and make the request. It is only a request, so no guarantees.

OH WOW!!!! Sure, you all check in AFTER I update evrything! :goodvibes

WELCOME!!!

FYI - My last Disney cruise was with a 14 month old - you will be better off than me because all she wanted to do was test her new found skills at walking - during dinner, during the rocking of the ship, everywhere! :upsidedow

I've got to put the kids to bed, but I will try to check in tomorrow and chat again.

Everyone - check the front page to see who is going and what ages their kids are and also be sure to go introduce yourself more privately on our other board. Its secure so we can give real names and actual locations.

Julie - have fun!!!!!

HEY - LOOK EVERYONE!!!! Its my 6,000th post!!!! OMG!!!! ... uh, yeah, omg! Have to get a life........ Too many trips have been planned over the last 6 years!!!!!
