5 months from today :cool1: Are there any other families on this board that will be on our cruise?

We will be joining you so excited! I have been counting down for months!!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

Hi Missy :wave2:
Is this your first cruise on the Wonder? We sailed the Wonder last April on the 4-day Bahamas cruise. That was our first time cruising ever and we are hooked! Our family is me, my husband, and our 11 year old daughter. She is a social butterfly so loves to meet new friends. Are you sailing with children?
~Shannon

Hi Shannon, This is our first cruise on the Wonder, I am excited to see one of the classic ships. We sailed on the Dream 4 nt to the Bahamas last Feb and now we are hooked. I will be with my DH, and my 2 DS ages 11 and 15! My 11 year old is very social too. He loved the kids club

We barely saw our daughter too! My husband said that's why Disney cruises are the perfect vacation: our daughter has the best time and we get lots of alone time :goodvibes

The Wonder is a smaller ship but I loved it, not too overwhelming. Our favorites were Palo, a day pass at the spa, and the adult clubs at night. Are you planning any shore excursions?

We are planning to do a Palo brunch so we can eat all our dinners with the kids. We were all so busy during the day that we never all had lunch together on the Dream. We enjoyed the adult clubs and our time alone. We haven't picked our excursions yet. We need to all sit down and discuss. Have you picked any yet? My husband and I also want to sign up for either mixology or martini tasting.

I am so looking forward to the Palo brunch! Since it's only offered on At Sea days it was a deciding factor in picking this cruise :)

We haven't looked into excursions yet but didn't feel we missed out on anything by not doing excursions on our last cruise. We did jump on a trolley tour in Key West so may do something on our own again this cruise - I'm kind of a cheapskate

I'd love to do a Wine Tasting but my husband doesn't drink. I'll have to find something to keep him busy so I can do one!

What excursions look good?

I think I am going to make brunch reservations for both at sea days. I can always cancel one.

I agree excursions are not necessary. We were supposed to go para sailing in castaway cay last time and it was cancelled due to wind. We still had a great cruise without any excursions. This time I am looking at Mayan ruins in Cozumel. I agree some of these excursions are priced very high. Is it really worth spending another $100 per person? I am not convinced.

We're joining you guys too !! I've checked this board occasionally waiting for a thread to start !! We're super excited - it will be me, my husband, and two girls: 10 & 6/7 - her birthday is on the ship ON Easter this year !!

Hi SCD!!

So happy you will be joining us. I hate to wish time away but April can't arrive soon enough we are in the middle of a snow storm where we are. Is this your first Disney cruise?

We live in Orlando and have been lucky to take advantage of some fl resident rates. This will be our 6th Disney cruise - but the first time out of Miami and to the Caribbean. As you can guess - all of the others have been out of canaveral.

Yay, our little group is growing :goodvibes

scd: since you live in Orlando would you mind recommending a hotel for us to stay at near Disney? We usually stay on property but decided to take a quick two day trip before the cruise so we're flying into Orlando then driving to Miami. We plan on spending as much time at Magic Kingdom as we can so we're not planning on too much sleep. We're looking for a 2 1/2 - 3 star type cheap hotel for two nights. Clean, free parking, and decent location our only requirements.

Hi -
If you want proximity to Disney, but not on property, you should check out the hotels on "Hotel Plaza Blvd" This is the street that runs straight into Downtown Disney - they do have a Best Western and a Holiday Inn there (I think). Also - hotels around Palm Parkway would put you in a great location to Downtown Disney and lots of restaurants. Of course, if you truly do want a cheaper place and are ok with staying a little farther out - anyplace on 192 would be much cheaper. Parts (or lots) of 192 are much older and kind of run down - it's still safe (although I wouldn't leave any car unlocked or valuables visible anywhere regardless). And the further away from Disney on 192, I'm sure less expensive. There are so many to choose from !!

Hello!

We are going to be on board too! This is our first cruise. Super excited!!! :yay:
It will be me, my husband, my MIL, and our two kids. My son is 7 and our daughter is 3. My kids do not know. My MIL lives in FL so they think we are going to visit for Easter. Little do they know our trip to the port will be the beginning of one AWESOME vacation!!!

Anyone doing the turtle farm in Cayman?
Anyone doing the Fish Extenders?

Hello we are first time cruisers too on the April 18th cruise. We would like to do an FE group - hope we can figure it all out!

So happy to see more cruisers joining us! We did a Fish Extender group last trip and my daughter really enjoyed it. If there is an interest I can help organize it.
