OMG!!!! Thank you sooo much pkmingo!!!!!!

I got REMY ressies for the perfect day of Castaway Cay at the perfect time of 6:50 pm!!! I am sooooo excited!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! :worship::thumbsup2

I also want to get brunch ressies, but this was my main goal and now I don't have stress it! I have had dinner at Palo several times, and I am very excited to now try Remy!

Oh, thank you thank you thank you again!

(hint, when making ressies for Palo and Remy, refer to Timon's scanned Navigators to tell which night works best)

6:00 pm would be the best time, but while I was reserving that time disappeared. Dirnit!!!

But will only take it if someone else on the thread does not want it....I have a reservation for Tuesday at 6:30 for 6 people but would love to switch if Monday is not my animators day....I was going to try and switch at boarding if I did not have animators that day. But if someone else wants it - they can have it.

My cabin is 10084 never can remember if that is starboard or Port! And considering I am such a planner - I never realized that when my TA booked this for us - in November of 2009) that my stateroom does not connect to our friends travelling with us in 10086 - they connect to 10088. Not sure if that is a bad thing or good thing. It might be nice not to have the kids running between the rooms.

I must have missed when the stateroom crawl was decided. I will be there but I am travelling with friends and not sure when I can leave them. So I might not be there until right before the crawl. Also - does everyone know that there are two sailaway deck parties now - The first one is at 2:45 the second at 4:45 - I think that is done for the early diners. That crawl might conflict with the early show.

room 10082 so they do connect

Lots of dinner times at Palos just opened up on Disney Cruise - log on to see if what you want might be available!!!!! (dinner only - no others yet!)

Also, the one I had has been taken.

My show time is at 7pm. If I book Palo @ 6:30 do you think they would let us go see the show later that evening or are we locked into our show times-no exceptions?

My first time cruising so I am completely clueless! Thanks for your help!

It is my understanding that on the Dream, the 5pm showtime has a holding line that you can wait and get in to see that show if there is room available. Not sure if there would be room at the 9pm show but IF there was, they still might let you in. Might depend on which night and how popular that show is. (there are 3 show times on the Dream).

Is there a list of "just don't get it husbands" yet ? :rotfl2:

:worship: Thank you! I had originally booked Palo for the sea day, but after finally getting a glimpse at the Navigators and menus, I hoped to change Palo to Pirate Night. Thanks to your head's up post, I was just now able to do that! :goodvibes

Aw shucks. What time is everyone planning to be onboard on Sunday? We could possibly move the Meet & Greet to 1:30 and the Cabin Crawl to 2:00 if you'd like. :confused3 After sailaway, things get really busy on the ship and everyone tends to go their separate ways, so it's best to do the meet and the crawl before sailaway.

Remember that cabins open up at 1:30, that might be a bad time to set up a meet & greet.

Awwww Double Shucks! Good point. I guess we keep everything as is and hope everyone can still do the cabin crawl?? Any other suggestions?

Oh I will be on board as soon as they let me!

I am in the 11:00 am boarding line for both cruises.

Oh, and I was able to get that 6:00 pm Remy ressie after all!!! :cool1: Makes it easier to get to the fireworks that night.

Love It! My DH would be under the whole Disney family. I am a WDW fanatic, but after this cruise I may add DCL too!

Thanks for the heads up about the Palo and Remy reservations. I saw the post this afternoon at work but for some reason I can not get the reservation part of the process to work on my work computer. I just now logged on and was able to get Palo for 8:30 on our last night. Not sure if I like it, but... I thought it might be nice to end the trip. Plus Connor and Asia will be used to the kids club by then and may be ok with being there while we eat. AND 8:30 is our dining time for this cruise!! So maybe not so bad... What do you all think?
I could have gotten a Remy for 7:30 on Castaway Cay night - but just couldn't bring myself to do it. $75 a person is a lot... Especially with this short cruise vacation that has turned into a 10 day epic adventure. My Dad was really funny when I sent him an email with all the possible excursions, dinners, cabanas at Castaway Cay, etc... He tells me - book them all!!! :scared1: Why wouldn't we do it all. Love my Dad...
One more day left of work this week! I think I can, I think I can...make it through the day tomorrow.

I agree that original plan is the best. 4:45 party will be a real sail away and more fun. Also, by then we will have a chance to meet each other and may by party together! :grouphug:

They said you can call your child in sick and its excused. I have a feeling an "epidemic" is going to hit our town presidents weekend then! :rotfl2:
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: It is so nice that you still have your sense of humor and joke about it! :thumbsup2 Some times I wonder, if the child can learn about the same amount of info within an hour or two what it takes the whole day at school :confused3
And I have to mention that DD's HW seriously interferes with my cruise planning  At the moment we have a science project, a biography book report (4 parts :scared1:) and a library research report on hummingbirds in addition to regular HW. None of those projects is expected to be done without parents' help. When I was in 4th grade, my parents did not have to do my HW at all :confused3

Deb- my DH now knows who to hang out in the bar with and complain about our obsessive behaviours :cutie:

You may want to move me to the lazybones list too. I'm scared now to do the bikes after reading about sore butts!

I looked and just saw several Remy ressies too. I didnt book one, as this is our 1st cruise and I dont want to miss any of the main restaurants! No Palo though still.

Our school board voted last night on vacation days to add back. They are adding back Friday before presidents day and Monday (presidents day), in addition to easter Monday. The worst part- they specifically said if your child was not at school is was still considered UNexcused. (really changing the calendar 9 days out and no excused absences?) :confused3

Loving all of the lists, they are cracking me up!

Wow, my part of CT is much more forgiving than yours! ;). Our school said that they would excuse any absences or Feb week because they changed the schedule so recently. Not that it matters since my kids are going to school! :yay::yay:

Ok, last reply for the night. I just went onto the Disney site and was able to secure a ressie for Wed night at 6pm for Palo.

I saw someone say that's a good time and day but I don't understand why?? :confused3. I'm glad you think so but why?

is it safe to think that i would be able to go to the 5pm show, go to Palo at 6 and then meet my kids at the dining room so I can watch the show with them at 8:30???

What show would be going on in the dining room that night? I can see if you have AP that night and would want to see the restaurant for that.

In my opinion, no night on a 4 day cruise is good for Palo, you always miss something. But then the same can be said for any other length of cruise. I guess you can tell I'm not a Palo dinner fan.

But your timing should work. Hopefully you will be able to get into the 5pm show in the WD Theater.

That's pretty much what we had originally planned to do... try to get into the 5pm show, do Palo at 6pm, then go to our regular dining rotation restaurant at 8:30 to nibble and experience the "show". But, when Palo on Pirate Night opened up yesterday afternoon, I moved our ressie to 7:30 on Tuesday night and we'll just skip the dining room that night.

I'm assuming that...
-if the rotation is still such that we repeat the third restaurant on the fourth night and
-Pirate Night is still on the third night
-then the "restaurant shows" will be the first, second, and fourth nights.

It was me who said 6:00 pm was a good time for the reservations, in my opinion only.

I say this because fireworks are at 8:00-8:20 - you do not want to miss them! It is a must do on a Disney Cruise. Palo will take at least 2 hours, so you also may have to say, let's get this sped up a little if you have kids in the clubs to get out prior to the fireworks show, to check out through the line and get up to the deck.

I am only doing Remy on this, our second leg of the cruises so I don't miss any rotations. I am not doing Palo on either cruise so I don't miss any more nights in the dining rooms. And yes, on Pirate night, there will only be the wait staff dressed as Pirates and a dance/song routine, which is fun, but Palo food is worth missing this for.

As Deb said, though, if you have a late rotation you COULD go and sit for dinner.... but I would suggest you will be very full, very happy from the wine and drinks they serve up there, and rushing is a NO NO in my opinion on these cruises - ruined my first one on DCL - will never let it ruin one for us again!
