Scootch - those photos were amazing!! :thumbsup2

I especially love the cute photos where they seem to photoshop a disney character into the picture. Where did you get those?

Just back from a business trip, and noticed the tween board is going strong. Will get Bailey back on today.

Maddie is NEVER home to begin writing on the teen board though. I will get her on asap. Hopefully soon!

Off to do laundry :laundy:!!

Hello

We are from Scottish....

We were cruising with dcl last month and try to booked for this cruise unfortunately it was sold out except balcony... :scared1:

My kids begged us to come back to dcl but we want to see the Dreams after our cruise with rci Freedom of the Seas then b2b to this cruise...

I see some cancellation today so but only for 2 people each room as I want one room for 4 of us...

so wait and see ....

Good luck in your quest for a room on our cruise. Someone had posted that the 3 day reservation holds get cleared at midnight, so if you try online a few minutes after midnight something might show up. That's how she got a stateroom for this cruise.

Those are disney photopass pictures from the park. I have done a photopass share thru disboards twice, although now they aren't allowed. I do take a TON of pictures!! and video too. Way too much, it is clearly an obsessive compulsive disorder!! I am missing disney world a ton right now. We have gone 6 years straight in November and aren't going this year(going long weekend to NYC instead plus this spring B2B cruises). Not sure how I can live without a trip to MK. Might need to get a job! so I can justify a 3-4 day trip. :rolleyes1 in say January.

We are busy rearranging bedrooms. Since my niece died 3+ years ago, my youngest won't sleep alone. It is exhausting me. So convinced them to share a bedroom making the open bedroom into a playroom and promised them a flat screen tv for the wall. Only problem is, Daddy really doesn't want them to have a tv upstairs. :scared1: I am just so tired of bed swapping, so I figured it is worth a try. The other thing is, we live in an older house and the one bedroom Matti had is absolutely HUGE!! and the one Kenzey had was much smaller, so it really has never seemed fair to me that Matti gets that huge room all to herself. Right now we just moved 2 double beds in there, two desks, a night stand and a very large bookcase... and the room doesn't appear crowded!! Cross your fingers it works.

....after midnight Eastern Standard Time. You can also try around the time when final payments are due for this cruise. (mid-January???) It's a bad time after Christmas to have to payoff a cruise so there may be drop outs then.

Hope that helps.

A question...some have said that on this cruise, the Dream has probably met its quota for little kids. But does anyone know approximately how full the cruise is currently???

Pretty full, many catagories are sold out. The ship holds 4000 passengers and will probably sell out.

I've sailed on 2 fully booked Disney cruises and didn't notice much of a difference to the ones that weren't fully booked.

There are still only so many lounge chairs at the adult pool and they are always full. lol :)

Hope that helps.

Love the tween board... sshhhh... Gabby and Jake are just too cute. Still trying to get Matti to post there!!!

Where is the link to the tween board - is it just for our cruise? My daughter will be 10 by the time we cruise - I guess that makes her a tween - not that I am sure how that is possible - i swear she was a toddler just last month!

Here it is: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=37754563#post37759060

I think the tween section on the boat is 11 to 13 but I cannot recall at 11:00 at night! :) The board is obviously open to everyone and really active lately (except for both my girls, and I'm the one who started the darn thread!) :lmao:

In fact, I don't think anyone has even joined the teen thread. I'm going to bother the heck out of my 15 DD to get her on tomorrow. ;) She's such a snob though these days :snooty: and thinks that anything that I do, can't be cool :cool2: so why should she do it!

Don't worry Gabby and Jake.... Bailey will be back, she's just been busy at camp and at cheer practice. :cheer2:

A moment ago disneycruise.com was showing availability for kids. I put in as I am still hoping my 3 night cruise to get the same room number and our 4 night date came up also. Just fyi for those still trying to squeeze in with us.

Having empty nest anxiety at the moment. Can't believe the summer is over. Trying to look at it in the light of, well our cruise is getting closer. Off to help at lunch, one great thing about our school, they love anyone who volunteers. :thumbsup2

I saw that and called my friend to tell her there was a 10A GTY open for her and her 12 year old. But alas, she spent July in France visiting relatives and has no money. :(

Please try and enjoy your empty nest for me! I still have mine until September 7th and with this Nor'easter they are all inside messing the house up!

It's been a long time since I've posted but have definitely tried to keep up on everything on! I can't get over how long the list of disboarders we have. How fun, I hope we do find a place to meet up the day we board.

I could not believe how expensive airfare was when Jet Blue's schedule came out, for the 5 of us it's somewhere around $3000. We had just talked about driving when I did a search on Expedia and was thrilled to find :cool1:. out American now flies direct from JFK (we live in Ridgefield, CT). We have TONS of miles from when my husband traveled to CA for business so I think that is what we will do. One less thinkg to worry about!

Can't wait for the Dream to start sailing so we can get some reviews!!! Also, hoping to get my son on the Tween boards, he will be turning 11 the Saturday after this cruise ends, but while we are on the 3 day for our B2B. I assume since it's only a couple of days they will allow him with the 11-13 year olds!!!:confused3

Our DD will be 10 at the time of the cruise too, and she is a disboards addict in training :cutie: and she would love to chart with the others on tween board. I hope it will be OK for everyone if our 10- to be DD's will join in
Does she need to sign up for her own name or she can do it under mine?

We have just spent 5 days in Hocking Hills, OH. What a wonderful vacation spot for nature lovers! We usually go South (Ocean City, Hilton Head, etc) for our august vacation, but this year DH said " enough... exploring south shores". :scared1::cutie: Since we have been doing it for almost 15 years and we have our wonderful cruise booked :cool1:, I did not object to go West this
time, and I have to admit, I really loved this area :thumbsup2. We did lots of hiking, zip line challenge course, ATV for our big boys, moonlight kayaking, etc.... One thing bad - I really missed reading our cruise thread:grouphug: Wedid not have ANY service on either phone or iPad:sad2::)

Now, on the way to experience lake Erie, and then to Niagara Falls...if we get 3G service I will let Katya to check in with tweets on their board, otherwise, she will check in when we come back.

Happy school year to all kids :teacher: Our kids go back to school/college after Labor day( i am really surprised at NYU, but worked to our advantage

:goodvibes

Hi Yelena,

When you click on REGISTER and enter Katya's birthday it will let you know that she is under 13 and you need to print out a form, sign it, return it by mail, email, or fax. If she doesn't mind using yours then you don't have to. That's how my Gabby and svcutler's Jacob started. It takes a few days to get the okay back from DIS.

Hope that helps.

Donna :thumbsup2

Yes, I just used a disposable underwater camera at atlantis, but loved it, so I am looking to buy a real one for this coming trip, probably will be my Christmas present this year. I even just took the rest of the Atlantis pictures with my youngest dd's kodak digital camera as I didn't want to risk losing my better Canon camera at Atlantis. I did find the lockers just before we left there, so this time I won't be so worried about my stuff. They are very close to the pool area.

We have 2 Olympus underwater digital cameras and love them. We have the 770SW and the 1020SW. They are waterproof to 10M, shock proof (even for dropping it 5 feet), freeze proof (up to -20 degrees or something like that). The biggest downfall is they only take xD cards.
I'm not sure what the SW models are for this year, but they usually put out 2 at a time - 1 for up to 3M and the other for up to 10M for underwater pics.
