April 17, 2011 on the Dream

Wow, Wow, Wow. That. Sounds. Heavenly. :worship:

What's pathetic is I can picture it quite clearly. I think I will teleport there this afternoon when I am packing some things away and cleaning! ;)

I wouldn't admit this to everyone, but I often "go to WDW in my mind" or "on a Disney ship in my mind". It sometimes helps me get through a tough day or a long, boring meeting. I often listen to the DVC channel on Live 365 because they play a lot of theme park background music. :goodvibes

Also, there is a rumor that Disney Fantasia will sail from NYC :wizard:. I hope it is true! May be we can book something while on board of Dream to get a nice discount.:woohoo:

NO WAY are you serious? That would be a cruel twist of fate for me if we moved and the newest Disney ship came to NYC, this could affect my move folks....pirate:

Are you in NYC? We are only 90 min away and go in for theater and museums occasionally. It is loads of fun.

Thank you Deb I don't feel quite so psychotic now! It is a lovely form of escape and much needed for my health and well-being. I love Disboards!

I rotate out Disney photos for the background on my work computer. Every time I look at it, I'm reminded why I work everyday. :rotfl: Lately I'm all about Disney, but the bad part is that I don't discuss any plans with DH until the kids are asleep. If my oldest had any idea we were planning anything she would worry me every day. April is too far away right now for all of that! LOL.

I'm jealous of those who already have airfare! I have emails sent daily from Kayak and so far nothing has been decent yet. I'm just patiently waiting until some other airlines release fares past January. Well, not patiently, but anyway....;)

We really enjoyed Blue Lagoon. . I say go for it, it was tons of fun!

Thanks for the review. I am really leaning toward doing it. We did DiscoveryCove in Orlando and it was truly one of my favorite vacation memories of all time.

Another August Anniversary and also 16 years!! August 7th. Nothing big planned, no sex museum :confused3 haha but since we are going to Columbus next weekend for the Justin Bieber concert and my niece is going to use my ticket, DH and I will have a few hours to hang out together.

Another good music site, although initially is hard to figure out is www.dtuneslive.com make a username and password, click on music, then click on which way you want to listen(like thru itunes) They give you 100 tokens each day and you can pick songs. Alot of them are from the park like Wishes, spectromagic, Soarin', ect....

We are back from London and the Baltics cruise. Had a great cruise with Caropooh and family and other DIS'ers and friends.

Welcome to the new cruisers.

Dear DebT and Ness2289,

Have you kicked around ideas for a time and location for a possible meet?
DD cannot wait to meet the other tweens. Still on fence for FE.

.....he was asking me if I had made him join a cult by the end of the cruise :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: Were you honest and said yes?:rotfl:

Ooooo...I can so relate! I do that AND have my collection of Disney Beach towels which we use all the time due to where we live. It was a modest collection in the beginning, but now its like more beach towels than any one family ever needs. Whether they live on Cape Cod or not! (yes, one of them is the Castaway Club towel, which I believe is a collector's item now) It's my favorite souvenir, they wash so well and never wear out. I have over 20. :scared1: Last time we went to WDW, my son was adamant about not letting me buy another one. (I still did) My favorites are Winnie the Pooh, Year of a Million Dreams (?) Wishes, whatever it's shiny, and a thick green one from Animal Kingdom.

Besides my Disney travel mug I use every day, I have fuzzy Dice from Test Track with black Mickey's instead of dots hanging from my rear view mirror and gulp! a replica from the ship's store of the Disney Magic on display in my car's back window.

I also buy one pen each time I go and use it until the next trip. My fellow coworkers borrow it all the time, but they always bring it back. Those pens last a long time!

Dear DebT and Ness2289,

Funny you should ask, I was actually thinking about doing a poll question on the main Disney Cruise forum to see what places other Dream cruisers were considering.

It's still early yet, but our group is large.

Oops, I misspelled, I meant Disney's Fantasy.:goodvibes even if you move, it will only be about 8 hours drive to NYC :). I really really really want them to bring their ship to NYC :woohoo:

We are only 20 min away (lower Westchester).

Gee, none of us will need a hotel the night before, we will just come stay with you.

I too am 20 minutes from NYC right through the tunnel in NJ.

And as much as I would love love love to have the Fantasy in NY, I think it would be far to difficult for me to just drive past her when she is in port. :rolleyes1

...And they're all very lucky guys!!! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 ... They ARE VERY lucky guys, but they just need occasional reminders :donald::mickeyjum:smickey:

We just celebrated our 12th anniversary on August 2nd . Funny how all of our husbands married Disney addicts :lmao:

Another August Anniversary and also 16 years!! August 7th.

Happy Anniversary to all!!!!!!!!:flower3:
Deb - you are on the top of our list with 31 years together with your DH. He survived your addiction for so many years = there is hope for all of us :cutie::grouphug:

Gee, none of us will need a hotel the night before, we will just come stay with you.

And I would love it!
Seriously, I was just day dreaming about Disney today(as some others do based on the previous posts :eeyore:), and I thought that maybe if Fantasy comes to NYC, I will quit my job and start 5-stars Bed-Breakfast- Transportation business. This way I will get to admire that beautiful ship every week :worship::goofy:
Wendy - you mentioned you were trained at Hyatt?! - I might need some tips :cutie:

Robin - instead of driving past, we will meet in the City and dream together:hug:

Sorry, its off the topic:
For those near NYC, check our New Victory Theater = it offers great performances for different age children at very reasonable prices and gets sold our quickly (we have just ordered tickets for 5 shows, you get automatic membership and a big discount if you order for at least 3 shows). You can exchange tickets easily if you mess up with dates (hard to order for a year ahead :scared1:). :wizard:

Thanks
We had been to 4 of the 6 ports before so we really like Warnemunde, Germany and Tallinn, Estonia. But we all decided we want to go back and see more of Stockholm. It was such a charming city and what we really found surprising was that it was relatively quiet for a city. There wasn't all the hustle and bustle that you usually find and you would see people strolling along and not being in a hurry. It's really a shame that our day was cut short by 1½ hours, but it couldn't be helped because of the tides.

I am so in the same boat (pun pun pun) There is a very close local airport and a direct flight on jet blue to Orlando. Trouble is they haven't even opened up their schedule that far yet. I did wrangle enough points for two flights through a cc offer but spring break is hard to get. Good luck to you:cheer2:
