April 16 2005? Eastern Magic? 4/16/05

 too expensive to get a straight flight....we usually, have a layover in dallas or houston...all in all about 7 1/2 hours of flight time...thank goodness for the portable dvd player! my 2 year old is pretty good traveler now my 12 year old daughter is a diff story:p

I wonder if we will be sailing on a full ship? I figured everyone would be back in school since Easter is in March next year...guess, I was wrong:tongue:

From what I have read a good portion of New England Has this week or the next week off. I would assume that the ship will be full.

My friends made ressies in the beginning of April and were only able to get the late seating for dinner.

That's amazing already. We have some friends who were considering this cruise too and they still haven't made their plans. Looks like they are too late if they want to eat with us.

when we booked we also got late seating. However we also had late seating for our wonder cruise but we waitlisted for early seating and got it when we got on board.

I know it is still far off.....but we are already looking for a hotel at the airport. We will be flying in day early. Also, looking to either rent a car of us a car service. Last time, we used Happy Limo...they where okay but left us waiting at the port over an hour..guess, they guy got a flat tire or something:confused:

Anyone else?:sunny:

I know it's still pretty early but how is everyone getting to Port from MCO? rent a car? towncar service? we are flying in a day early and are looking for a hotel too.

Used Happy Limo last time but not sure if we will go with them again. They left us at port for over an hour in cold, windy weather...the guy got a flat tire but they never contacted us..we finally got through to them and they said to take a cab:confused: greeeeat! lol!

Hope everyone is welll! looking forward to this trip:sunny:

Having cruised for the first time a couple of weeks ago on the Wonder, I know i can't wait to cruise again.

I just hope the oceaneer's club is as good on the magic as it is on the wonder

We have been looking at hotels/flights already. Currently we haven't book anything mostly because DCL airfare is so expensive and we can't book airfare till 330 days out.

Princessdaisey, we are taking your advice and planning on flying in late Friday. i hope to get a flight around 5-6pm (kids can go to school and I can work) arriving about 9-10p.

DW has her mind set that she wants to stay at the Hyatt. I told her it costt $$$. She didn't care.

We are however traveling with my MIL and FIL. I have been told they have a family deal giving you a second room at half price. I will have to check this out.

We are going to keep it simple and use the DCL buses. I know that we could get a cheaper rate using a car service but there is always the risk. This way I am sure everything will be set.

djjmitt - Friends of ours cruised the Magic in Feb 2004 with their DD5. They said she loved the oceaneer's club. At times they had to drag her away from it to have family time.

DW and I are driving from Tennessee. We are leaving sometime after work on Thursday and driving as far as we can and then staying near the port on Friday. Get up Saturday morning and get to the port around 10:15-10:30.

Hi princessdaisy,

We still aren't sure about our transportation or where we are staying before When the airfares come out, we'll have a better idea.

Last February we used FLTours. They are one of the Dis-site sponsors so we figured we would give them a try. They were great. They met us first at the airport at almost midnight and took us to the Hard Rock Hotel. Then a pick up there a few days later to the Magic. Then from the Magic to the Boardwalk and then the Boardwalk to the airport. Each leg of the trip, they arrived at exactly the scheduled time. They were also very nice to our four kids. We will use them again without question.

David,

We did the Magic for the first time this past February after doing the Wonder the previous two years. We couldn't tell the difference in the Clubs. Either the way they looked or operated. Outstanding on both ships. It was a concern of ours too.

Chuck

Princess D; FLTours was great. We were one of the first ones off of the ship and they were sitting in the lot waiting for us. We told them 7:30 A.M. and they were there. They also stopped at a nice little store on the way to the port for us to pick up some bottled water. The only bad part from them is that they don't take credit cards. I hate losing mileage.

Princess D: No, they still don't take them. I don't know why but wish they would. They are so good otherwise.

BF and I will be on the 4/16 Magic cruise as well. We go to WDW at least once a year, but this will be our 1st Disney Cruise. We have a Cat 6 booked and the late dinner seating. Right now I have booked my air through DCL, but will be looking for a better airfare soon. I'm thinking of flying in the night before (leaving Boston around 5-6pm), staying near the MCO airport, and just paying for transfers and taking the DCL bus in the morning. If I end up staying with air through DCL, any experience with how late I will end up arriving at the port. Any advice as what to do would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!!!! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Welcome aboard Jen in Ma

We can now account for 50 of the pasengers.

We are going to be flying out on Friday night also. I haven't booked my airfare yet. I didn't know I could book it through DCL and then cancel it at a later date.

When were you at POP Century? We were there last Easter for a week.

Have a great day

David

Hi DavidOH,

We were at Pop Century from April 16-25th. I can't wait until this coming April for our 1st Disney Cruise! :D I booked the ressie through Dreams Unlimited and they said I could book the air, insurance, and transfers... then cancel any of the three before final payment. Have you started looking for airfare yet? I was waiting until I could book roundtrip air, but I guess lots of people started booking one-way tickets at 330 days out from April 15, so I haven't been able to find a good flight at a good price... but I'm still looking. :D

Jen,

Just noticed your countdowns. Looks like our families make similar vacation plans? Where are you staying for Thanksgiving?

Chuck

We'll be staying at All-Star Movies for our Thanksgiving trip :D
