April 16 2005? Eastern Magic? 4/16/05

This is our 3rd time. 1st (2000) was 4/3 land & sea then we (husband, 3 boy (16y, 12y, 2y old) & my mother). We loved the cruise part so much that we booked another one. Next time we did the western cruise (2002), same bunch, & again a GREAT time. This time there is 15 of us going. I takled about it so much the my friends are coming this time. Rooms 6654, 6652, 6650, 6648, 6647 at the end of the 6 deck right side last rooms. Ages of kids at time of sailing 3g,7b,8b,12g,14g,14g,16g,17b,21b. Parents ages 30-45 & nana. These vacations are the best times we have on vacations, & we take family vacations all the time.

If any first time criusers are second guessing if they should go, it will be the best thing you ever did for your family. If anyone has ?'s just ask.:Pinkbounc

Has anyone secured a hotel before the cruise? or how about transportation? I am still kinda looking into those two. We might end up renting a car to port and then using a towncar service to take us from Port to Disney then back to MCO.

We decided to fly in a couple of days early and will stay at the Beach Club Villas for a couple of days before taking a town car over to the ship and then back to MCO.

We broke the 200 day mark today everyone. Only 199 to go and counting. Seems like only yesterday that we broke the 300 day barrier.

My sister (38) is traveling with her DH 40, DD 11 and DS 3 on this cruise. I am trying to get her to the DIS boards, but in the meantime I thought I'd check for her...

Thanks!

I have a 12 yr daughter and a 3 yr son who our sailing w/me on the cruise! On our last cruise Jan 04, my daughter e-mailed another Dis'er's granddaughter (11) and they met up on the ship and had a great time together.

Also, a mom 48 and daughter 14. And a family friend of ours a girl age 16. Cannot forget my mom THE NANA TO EVERYONE (really only my boys and nieces) but everyone calls her nana.
We are a down to earth and fun group from the Massachusetts-New Hampshire line, we like family fun (games, camping, apple and pumpkin picking, movies, bowling and the beach) We have known each other for a long time. The single mom and the mom the has the boy age 7 and girl age 3 are aunt and niece. I am sure all of the kids will be glad to spend time with your daughter and son.
We are all getting together just after the holidays to organize our excursions. We are planning on 1 excursion per stop. Last time we did the dolphin encounter, submarine ride and parasailing on Cay. We can't wait to go parasail again.

with holidays coming and stuff, 2005 will be here before you know it!!!!

We're right on schedule, booked BCV for before and day after cruise, airline tickets are purchased, rental car is reserved, next on the list is excursions, which I'll deal with after the new year. As i'm putting away summer clothes, I'm starting a packing box to put aside clothes we'll bring for the cruise.

Going are DH, me, DD11 and DS7. princessdaisy and catnip0113, maybe we can get the girls to email before the cruise. My DD is on the reserve side (oh wait, she doesn't know about the cruise yet!!!), well maybe later they can email each other.

How exciting to keep it a surprise for the kids!:bounce: That is a great idea! I also have a 12 yr old that will be on the cruise. She had a great time on our last cruise and looking forward to going again.

Sue: That is a great idea getting the girls to e-mail...just let us know when.:sunny:

Hope everyone has a fun & safe Halloween!!:earsboy:

We are also going on the April 16, 2005 cruise. How is everyone doing on car rental prices. I just booked today, how does this sound?

April 13th, 10pm picking up 4 door compact car throuth Budget at MCO. Returning in cape canaveral on April 16, 2005 about 1pm. Total price including taxes is $105.80

Picking up in cape canaveral April 23, 2005 at 9:00am and returning to MCO about 3pm. Total price including taxes is $46.50.

Has anyone found anything better?

Still looking for a room for under $100. per night for our 3 nights before the cruise. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Stulaurie
I did a little better with Budget through Costco:

4/13 6pm MCO - 4/16 noon CC - 89.64 taxes included
4/23 10am CC - 4/24 10am MCO - 39.89 taxes included

What I don't get is for the first part of the trip, Budget is charging $14.45 for 3 days of surcharge, but only 2.49 for 1 day for the last part. Surcharges must be alot higher at MCO.

Sorry can't help you with the hotel part.

Sue

Hi Sue,

Just called Costco and they checked to see if they could give me a lower rate, and right now the rate is higher. $124. for the 3 days. The girl said that their rates change from day to day. I will keep checking. Sounds like you got a really good deal.

Thanks

:boat:Getting closer to sailing date! Hope everyone is well and had a great Turkey day :grouphug:

We decided to fly in a few days early and I am looking into hotels near MCO area first day and then Cocoa Beach area the next days before the cruise. Any suggestions welcome :D How is everyone else doing on there traveling plans?

Ahoy Sailors!!!! :boat: I found this site about a week ago and I am already addicted to all the info and great people.

My Family and me are also on this cruise!! It's Me(40), DW(43)(did I do that right?)(LOL) and DD(12). It's so cool to find others on this cruise. We were fortunate to get our feet wet for the first time last July on the Western Cruise. It was probably the best vacation of our lives. My DD is looking forward to making some new friends again. We are DVC Members so I booked through member services and got a Cat 6 w/Verandah(same as we had the last time). We just booked at the beginning of Nov. The balconies are awesome but can make you a little tipsy if you look out as we're sailing and aren't ready to see the ocean moving by.

Wow! There's so much I want to say and ask but I'm getting long winded. I guess we unfortunately have more than enough time to kill before APRIL 16, 2005:cool1:

Well anyways, we will be driving down from Massachusetts (we always drive) and getting there on Friday. I better go now gotta tell DW that I found a 04162005 thread, she'll be so excited. Hope to hear from all of our shipmates.
See ya!!

One more thing, I started a thread and want to close it now that I found this one...how do I close it? Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!!!

Hi everyone!!! Hadn't seen any replies to my last post so I figured ..... I'd post again!!!! Is there anyone else out there going on this cruise? My DD is 12 and looking forward to meeting some new friends on the ship or over the internet before the cruise. She had a great time on our first in July. Well, we'll see you all soon (but not soon enough)!!! :cool1:

 My family and I will be on the April 16th cruise. I have a 12dd and 2ds. Our last cruise was a Western Jan/05 on the Magic. My dd made lots of friends and I am sure she would love to make some new friends on our next cruise.

We are planning on arriving a few days before the cruise and then staying a WDW a few days after the cruise. Can't wait!! :flower1:

Southwest finally came out with tickets for that period today. By the time I found out, Saturday return flights were already booked up. So we have to suffer by going back to Disney for an extra day and leaving on Sunday the 24th.

The countdown clock keeps inching closer!

As always we will be driving down. We do it in 2 days and have already booked a nice room at the Radisson. Has anyone else stayed there? Is it worth it to take the shuttle? Anything I should know about using the shuttle? Thanks in advance for all your help!!

HI, my family & I will be at the Radisson the night before the cruise. We are trying to arrive two days earlier and stay at an airport hotel then have a day at Cocoa Beach & swim at the Radisson. We will be renting a car and dropping off at Budjet site the day of the cruise. We have never stayed at the Radisson but have booked a two bedroom suite with my husbands Gov. discount. It looks really nice on the website :D Maybe our 12yr dd's can meet up at the pool?
