:bounce: Hi,

We just changed our cruise date from 12/05 to 04/16/05 as my dd turns 13yrs old on April 22, 2005 on Castaway Cay! Wahoo!

I know there HAS to be some people out there on this cruise as it has already gone up $500.00 from when I booked 3 weeks ago.

Hope to hear from ya soon!!:sunny:

Hi

I've been lurking here for a month waiting for someone to post this date. Finally I decide to do it and someone else posts the same date 2 min later.

I will be cruising with my DW, DD(8) and DS(6) as well s both sets of grandparents and a family of friends.

We have this week of from school as spring break. It appears that a good number of schools in upstate NY have done this also since Easter is so early.

I booked early and it save me $$$.

 I just missed your post! We just changed to the April date 3 weeks ago and I couldn't wait to get the DIS list started.

We actually just got back from a Western Disney Cruise Jan 04. Had a blast and can't wait to sail again.

Unfortunately, will have to take me DD(12) out of school...spring break is 2 wks for us but in March...worth it to celebrate her birthday on the Magic.

I am cruising with my DH, DD(who just turned 12), DS (will be 3 time of cruise).

We have a Cat. 9 booked...last time we got upgrade from 11 to the 9 and now we are spoiled!!!:teeth: darn, that Disney!!

No problem withthe double post. I will remiove the other one to avoid confusion.

We will be in a Cat 9 also. Our cabin # is 2026. We booked through DU and were able to get a great rate.

This is our firtst DCL cruise. DW and I cruised years ago on Carnival. I am sure this will be a whole different world.

DD turns 8 in march and DS turns 6 on April 14. We were in WDW lthis past April for his b-day.

We still haven't booked our airfare. We are considering flying in Friday night and getting to the ship early.

Have a great day.

David

It is ALWAYS a good thing to fly in the day before! Just in case! Don't want to miss the boat:crazy:

We will be flying in on Friday, also...we did this last time and it worked out great. Such a long flight from San Diego, Ca...but worth it!

How exciting...your first Disney Cruise!!! Your gonna love it!! So much fun!!:earsboy: We are staying at Disney for a few days after the cruise...surprise for my ds!

Have a great day!

ps. Cat 9, great choice!!! we used DU also :sunny:

:bounce: I have also been lurking these boards for about 2 months and finally a post that someone is going on this cruise. We are having somewhat a family get together cruise for my wife's side of the family. it will be me, my wife, her mom and dad, 2 sisters, 1 brother, sil, bil, 2 nephews and our neice. Also is her aunt and uncle and their 6 kids. This will be our first Disney Cruise. We have sailed Grand and Golden Princess, RCL Voyager of the Seas, and we met on Premier Cruiseline 8 years ago. We have a cat 5 balcony on I believe the 7th deck. This will be our first balcony. Hope this doesn't spoil us.

Our group will be joining you. We have two connecting cat 6 rooms. It will be myelf, DW, 4 kids (DD17, DS16, DS12, DD10) and my sister. This is our fourth Disney Cruise. We just did the Western Cruise this past February but this will be our first Eastern Cruise.

Looking forward to next spring.

Hi neighbor. We live right across the river from you in East Greenbush. I didn't notice it earlier. I guess you can tell what the school vacation is for our area in April 2005.

Hi everyone. We just sailed on the Wonder (5/2) and we liked it so much we signed up for 4/16/05 cruise which is my son's spring break. When we travel it will be my dw, ds(6), dd(3), ds(3) and my father.

Hi everyone. Looks like the cruise is filling up quick and early.

We can now account for 48 of the 2600 passengers.

HBC - We are actually in Guilderland (figured people would scratch their head if I wrote that)

djjmitt - where in NY?

I have talked to a few people throughout the state and some have this week off and some don't. I also saw another post regarding much of the New England states having this or the next week off.

I figure airline tickets will go as fast as the cruise did.

Have a great day.

David

Where will you be flying out of? You seem to be in the middle of everywhere.

David

we usually fly out of LGA. we have considered flying out of Stewart though.

We'll fly out of Albany. I looked at the Southeast Airlines out of Stewart. There rates were cheap but with only one flight and I assume one airplane, should anthing go wrong you would have no options.

Just curious...how much is airfare out your area to Orlando? We just found flights from San Diego to Orlando for $225.00 round trip.

Steph

Hi Princessdaisey

$225 roundtrip is not bad. I flew last April during Easter break from Albany to MCO for about $335 each RT. That was SWA. Trust me I looked everywhere there was nothing cheaper to be found. SWA will run specials at times andyou can get $79 each way but you have to wait til the last minute. That is not an option for this trip.

For this trip I am hoping to do better. Looking around I am finding that you can't book til 330 days prior to travel. So I am a bit on hold with this portion. But... (there is always a but). I was on Samsclub Travel web site today and found GREAT rates. (~225 each RT). So if this is real I may just snatch this up and move on.

Unfortunately direct flights out of Albany aren't the easiest thing to get. They exist to a small degree but try fitting it into your schedule. Do you get direct flights from CA .

David

We are actually thinking of pulling the kids out of school next April a couple of days early and driving down. The air fares get foolish during vacation weeks. We are going on a non Disney trip in February and paid dearly for tickets over that school break. I'm hoping Jet Blue shows up in Albany as is rumored. That would help a lot and may change my mind.

David M. We made our reservation on the Magic. Same idea as you. We had such a good time we booked right on board and got some nice credits too.

Chuck

I had not heard the rumor of Jet Blue coming to Albany.

I agree with you on the prices. We flew SWA last Easter break and paid about $350 each. There is no way I could get my wife to drive so that is out of the question.

Unfortunately with a cruise yo lose some flexiblity because of when you have to arrive at the ship. Because of this you can't wit to see if thre are going to be any breaks. Not that I expect any.
