April 15, 2010 Disney Wonder

Aaaaagh, its so close I can't stand it, lol!! We leave a week from tomorrow!

Dana, that shirt you made is adorable!

Thank you!

I'm getting so excited about the trip!

My mom and my MIL leave one week from today to drive down ( they are about 12 hours away). Two 70+ ladies on a WILD ROAD TRIP!! Watch out if you are on the I-95 corridor!:rotfl:

They will be here on the 13th. So the fun starts in 7 days for us! The kids haven't seen either grandma in months. Everyone has their own list of things to do & see, plus we have a birthday to celebrate.

And before they come for the cruise BIL & his wife are here the 9th - 11th.

Very exciting next week or so for us! It is going to fly by!

We got all our stuff all set for the FE exchange and I will be picking up the lime green mickeys today at HD lol. I am so excited!!

I just checked the weather for Bahamas and it doesn't look great. Is this the rain season? Yesterday hi was 72, the next few days are 80 but next week is 70's with 30% chance of rain. I looked at trip reports from recently and rain was mentioned in the few I looked at. I just hope we have good weather.

I know, I have been checking daily too....its been warmer in Orlando than in the Bahamas!

Oh, I hope it's warm! I never even considered that it might be cool. As for rain, I'm hoping it's like the weather here in Alabama...we have 30% chance of rain every day in the summer. And as my father used to say as he watched his garden dry up, that's a 70% chance that it WON'T rain.

I'm starting to re-think the attire for evenings. I've been reading posts and it sounds like it's even more casual that I thought. Then again, my girls wear uniforms so they don't really have a lot of "in between" clothes, so I may stick with dresses afterall.

Better tear myself away from the computer. This is way more fun than housework.

I just checked the 10 day outlook for The Bahamas and it looks like on Friday the 16th it will be 77 and a 10 percent chance of rain. Hopefully that will be the same for Saturday at CC. In SC we have hit 90 the past two days.

I like this forecast better than weather.com.

We are dressing up for the semi formal:) I want that picture, lol! And we are wearing casual dresses to the other dinners.

I must admit... I'm a bit worried about the weather myself. Here in Southwest Michigan, right along the shore of Lake Michigan, it has been in the low 80's. A bit cooler and rainy today though. My husband and I took our first cruise last April 23rd ... went to Nassau. It was nice, but the water was too cold for me. Guess Lake Michigan is warm. It's what I'm used to. I also saw that something like around 77 degrees was predicted. Bummer! Nice, but not warm enough for me! Guess I will be packing more capri's than I intended. The breeze sure can get cool especially on the upper decks!

I think many of ya'll have had warmer weather than I have here in sunny Florida! My mom mentioned it was 90 in Virginia.

I'm hoping for warm & sunny weather for the trip. We went to the beach today & the water was way too cold for me! The kids weren't bothered by it though.

We are dressing up ( probably overdressing!). We so rarely have any occasion to dress up... and my boys wanted "James Bond" tuxedos, with black converse sneakers:cool1: How could I say no?

I just hope the darn tuxedos are here in time!
Their second choice is one of those baby blue tuxedos 'like people used to wear in the olden days'! My dh has one of those in the closet!

Ah, yes the baby blue Tux.....My Junior Prom and my date had the Farrah hairdo, crap am I giving my age away?!? I really like the idea of the converse sneakers. My DD has all her Princess Dresses packed away.princess: My wife is packing something nice so I just might have to throw something into the suitcase for the semiformal(what day is that on)?

My dd will be in black Converse hi-tops.

We're leaving really early Saturday morning. I spent the whole evening packing. You'd think as often as we travel, I'd be faster. I'm too much of a worry wart. You'd think we were doing the transatlantic instead of the 3 day.

Converse must be the "it" thing. My daughter designed her own converse on converse.com, so if you see a girl with purple tiger print on one side and multi-color cheetah print on the other...that's my daughter :) We leave on Tuesday!

Looks like for Nassau it will be 77/67 20% chance of rain and for Castaway Cay 78/68 and 10% chance of rain. All in all not too shabby. Who knows maybe it will change again and the weather will hit 80 with 0%. 5 days until the TR Trio arrive in FLA. :cool1:

Thanks for the update. I hope it gets a bit warmer, but that's not too bad. It is positively freezing in Alabama. This is the weirdest weather ever. Monday it was unseasonably hot, nearly 90.

Everyone have a safe journey!
