Looking for anyone that will be on this cruise- Any other families traveling with teens specifically- It will be DW, DS15, and myself. This will be our first Disney cruise and we are super excited for it!!!! :)

Sorry, no teens but we will be enjoying this cruise with my two kids
(b-9/g-12). Looking forward to our first cruise.:cool1:

Just booked and hope it will stick !!! It is so far from now with so much uncertain in the future.

If all goes well we will be there with our two girls ages 2 and 4.

Hi everyone,
We just booked this cruise, not 100% sure the dates will work but keeping my fingers crossed. We're going to keep it a surprise for the kids - DD12, DS8, DS5. :goodvibes

Nice your kids are almost the exact same age as mine lol. This was the last cruise in the spring that qualifies for the kids sail free discount, we just got back almost $700 from Dreams Unlimited our travel agent, last week. We booked super early and were pleasantly surprised when we got an email from them to let us know. Now we will be doing the dolphins encounter excursion with the savings and will still have some left over. :cool1:

kevguy - wow, our kids are close! My ds will be almost 9 - his bday is in June...

Welcome aboard partidge4ever!

Padon my ignorance but what is a fish finder exchange lol?

Samily we should plan to say hi at some point on the cruise.:thumbsup2

Fish extenders are bags that DISers hang from the fish that's beside their cabin door. Others DISers buy small trinkets to put in the extenders once during the cruise. The main cruise line forum has a sticky at the top called *** DIS DCL FAQ - New Alphabetical Listing of DCL Information *** . If you scroll down, there are several links with lots of details. Some people go waayyyyy out. I'm thinking more along the lines of a few Disney pencils or a sticker sheet. :)

I think they are more common on the 7 night cruises, but my kids and I loved it so much, I'd like to do it again. I'd be willing to compile the information if anyone else is interested. You could PM me your cabin number and the ages of those in the cabins. Then a couple of months before the cruise, I'd email everyone the list of participants. That way our cabin numbers aren't posted here for the world to see.

Hey thanks for the info on the fish extender thing that sounds fantastic, the kids would get a real kick out of it. I had no idea about it. What kid of little trinkets get put in them? I'm all for it so I will PMm you my email address and my room #. Thanks for offering to set this thing up, I hope the rest of us are enthusiastic and will do it as well, it will be a neat thing for the kids imo.:thumbsup2

I'm happy to do it! Anyone else is welcome to pm me with your cabin number.

We were on the 5 night special Magic cruise last year, so there were lots more DISers than usual. 80 cabins if I remember correctly! So we didn't have any kind of schedule of when to make our deliveries. We never returned to our cabin without finding a little something. I brought a few extra things to slip in for my kids so they wouldn't be disappointed in case it didn't work out.

I think since we have a smaller group it would be nice if we each took a day so everything doesn't get delivered all at once. So if there's just 3 of us participating, one per day. No set time though, just whenever you get a minute. It does take awhile to make it up and down every hallway.

We received pencils, pens, stickers, luggage tags, magnets, glow sticks, candy, small notepads. Some people had candy wrappers specially made with their names. I've seen where people did water bottles, premade scrapbooks, and even a beautiful Christmas ornament, but those are above and beyond....besides the expense, I can't imagine getting ONE ornament home safely, much less a box full!

Sounds great, I'm gonna start putting aside some stuff this week lol. This is gonna be such a fun cruise!!

We would like to do the FE exchange too, but I don't want to commit to it until I know for sure we can keep this cruise date. Once I'm sure I'll pm our info. We did the FE exchange on our last 2 cruises - the kids loved it! We got all sorts of things from home made scrapbooks, CD's, luggage tags, bracelets to things from people's home towns, pirate stuff, etc. It was a lot of fun. On our cruises, each family was assigned a day so the gifts would be spread out - I think it worked out to 2 families delivered each day. Some people gave a gift for each of the kids, some did one gift for the cabin and some people did it for each person in the cabin - whatever they were comfortable with. Kevguy, here is a thread on FE's so you can see them: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607&page=49 There's another thread on fish extender gifts, but I can't find it at the moment... I just noticed you're from Mass. - we're almost neighbors - we're from RI :)

Nice, I'm gonna see what the local walmart/joannes has for fabric. My wife is pretty handy with a sewing machine so we'll see if she wants to tackle this project. I've seen a bunch on ebay but they are way expensive at $30 each. People had mentioned some going for $20 but they must have all sold.

Hello... pixiedust: We will be cruising on April 15th. The FE thing sounds like so much fun! Still need more details... like are we required to leave something for each state room? Is it for each day of the crusie or just once? If it's like 30 - 40 cabins that can really add up. Back to the original topic.... crusie meet... It will be myself and my husband ::MinnieMo :smickey:..... and our 5 kids... girl 16 :drive:, boy 14 :happytv: , boy 11 :donald: , boy 10 :tigger: , girl 6 :tinker: Please PM me if you have kids our kids ages! :wizard:..... Castaway Cay.... here we come!!!! :beach:

Hi!
On the fish extenders, you would just do it once during the cruise, not every night. I really don't think it will get as large as 30 cabins. Right now we have 2 cabins and a maybe.

The wife doesn't have time to do the extender herself right now (she may when time allows) we just ordered one off ebay. It is a 4 pocket with a pirates of the carribean theme and our family name at the top and each pocket has a family member name. Should be pretty cool, can't wait to see it once it arrives. I'll post a pic or link to a pic.

It sounds cool! Can't wait see pictures.

I've been looking at the menus and dreaming about the yummy food.

We're almost to the 6 month point!
