April 14, 2007 Eastern Cruise!

I think the idea of matching t-shirts is a fun and great way to spot our fellow Disers at terminal and on board. What do you all think? One question though, do we have to go with the lime green or are other colors optional?

I also love the idea of t-shirts! Lime green is the official color of the DIS, but it is quite bold. Perhaps we could go with lime green lettering and a more neutral colored shirt? I personally don't have a problem with going totally lime green.

So does any one have any ideas for a T-shirt design and color? And what is the best way to put shirts together, everyone makes their own or a couple of people make them and ship them out? I don't mind doing the work but design is not my strong point.

We have late seating for dinner. We had it last cruise and loved it. Our kids are night owls anyway and fight going to bed when at home.

Oh ok...I didn't realize that the lime green was the official color for the Dis. We are ok with wearing lime green if that's what everyone else would like. Tyna brought up a good point, do we agree on a t-shirt then purchase through disneyshopping.com or does someone design them then ship them to us.

After making my final payment, I called Disney Cruise Line with a few questions. I then wanted to confirm that we had requested early dining for 6:00pm. They told me my request is noted and the 6:00pm time is the LAP roation. However, not guaranteed.

I just made our final payment also. Is it night #2 for formal night? I thought I read that somewhere. I was hoping it would be in Lumeires.

I am just searching on line for ways to order and make t shirts for our cruise while the Pats start their game. Found several links here is one of them:
http://www.customink.com/cink/r.jsp?C=16&loc=subcategory
Does anyone know a good way to coordinate this or a good place to order from? There seem to be alot of places with lime green t shirts to choose from. Also, does any one have any ideas to convince my hubby that wearing matching t shirts is a good idea:rotfl2:

As my husband is glued to the tv watching the Pats game, I asked him if he'd be willing to wear matching t-shirts. He said ok...I'll be a dork for a day.

A T-shirt sounds great! But I second the motion to make it another color besides lime green and use lime green letters of the username on the back. I really would like something we can re-use and there's no way my eldest will do lime green.

Howabout basic red-Disney red? It's bright and :laundy: most importantly men will wear it. (I had to use this smilie I've never seen before!)

That being said I will go with lime green if that's what everyone else decides on AND I will help with the whole project too.

I'm still waiting for my final payment to clear. I had the flu last week and couldn't get it done on time.

I'm gonna make Palo ressie's later in the week and for 5 just in case somebody gets blocked out. Or two somebodies really. Last cruise, I went by myself early and then had so many invites later on and met people, who for lack of dis-knowledge, couldn't get palo ressie's that I wish I had waited.

I'm a little hesitant about the spa. There's been so many complaints lately....but I'll probably still do it!

Tyna- I'm glad you found airfare! :thumbsup2 I gave up on waiting for a DING! on the twelve and booked hotels for 10th and 11th. The 10th I did priceline for a MCO hotel and got the Marriot Orlando Airport for $81 which is usually around $50 any other time of the year on priceline. Still, full price is in the $200's  We arrive at 10:30 at night so it works for us. Then, I found Best Western Downtown Disney for $90 on the AAA website. I figure we'll do Disney Quest right as it opens and forget the parks 'til after the cruise.pixiedust:

Since red is my favorite color, I'll agree to that for the color of the t-shirts instead of the lime green. Anyone dare to be different?

Red is a great color(I'm a red head!) So what do we want on the front of the shirt? Zazzle has tons of Disney pics to choose from, I like the steamboat Mickey, but his face would be red!!! My user name is my first name and my kids and hubby would never wear that!!! (I didnot get this whole user name stuff when I signed up!!!) I guess I could put their name with my name under it or some such thing.
Pershing Glad to hear you are feeling better, this has been quite the year for being sick. Every where you go you hear horror stories about illness.
We booked our Palo's dinner for Thursday night and are now worried that it is lobster night. My 9 year would never forgive us if he missed out on the lobster! We may need to change this on board. It seems that every night there is a reason to be in the main dinning room.

We can leave the username off and maybe put the cruise date instead?

Tyna.....about the lobster.....it's Carribbean lobster....which is NOT Maine-ish at all. It's a more spider-crab like lobster  so prepare your child. Still tastes the same though!

Just Curious....anyone staying at Ron Jon's Resort before the cruise? We decided to give it a try....even with all the mixed reviews. Hopefully, we won't be disappointed. We'll be arriving on Thursday, April 12th. :cool1:

Ron Jon's gave me a high quote so I went with the Radisson for Friday night. We would have loved to try the pool but maybe another time.

I fooled around with both Tshirt websites and the first one seems way cheaper. Look at my sig. picture and that's the simple Tshirt I designed (in like two seconds). It says Éastern DCL 04/14/07''Still could live without the lime green lettering, sorry disboard. It averaged out to 10.41 each for 20 Tshirts or more (I chose all mediums at the time). The Disney ones are nicer though. Red's out -they have a limited color variety and red's not one. The gold and green are ok. Anybody else have a chance to mess around?

We stayed a Ron Jon's Resort for three days after one of our cruises. The kids had a blast. The room was great but the pool area was very crowded. A lot of people had day passes over the weekend to use the pools and slides. You should have a great time. There is no place to get breakfastnear by. They do sell donuts and snack in the little shop on site. You could stop on your way there and pick some things up at the supermarkets each unit except the studio has a kitchen. What kind of room did you get?
The price has gone up a lot so it is only worth it if you have enough time. Since you are going on Thrusday you should have time to enjoy all they have to offer. To get to the beach you have to take a tram(golf cart)

Just found this thread as I am anxiously waiting to find out if DH and I will be on this trip. We just went on our first Disney cruise 11/30/06 for my 30th birthday and now my DH will be turning 30 in April and we wanna go back!!! Especially since the last was just a 3-day... that was only a tease!! A lot is depending on DHs job circumstances, so we cannot book it until last minute (thank goodness for the Disney Visa!!) Keep your fingers crossed that we'll see you there!! :goodvibes
Until then I'll keep in touch and keep you posted...

We just got our confirmation for my DS's Make A Wish cruise for April 14th! So excited. We did the 3 day last summer and loved it but it was just a tease. He will have completed 1 long year of chemo to treat a chronic brain tumor. He is almost 8 and my DD is almost 10. Antone have children their ages? (don't worry about him looking sickly and frightening anyone. You can't tell he's sick at all. He has all his hair and looks very happy and healthy! LOL) They would love a friendly chat relationship before we go! Can't wait to see you all!!!

My prayers go out to you and your family. Our son Tyler is 8 (he turns 9 in May). He is an only child and is more than willing to meet kids his age on the cruise. I believe there are a few more of us with boys the same age. :wave2:
