Got our cruise documents today, too! I was beginning to feel left out since we are on the West Coast and I had to wait until I got home from work to get the mail. Feels very real now. Love seeing those luggage tags and the list of all of the port excursions and other activities we have signed up for.

Hello everyone...This is our first Disney cruise, and I just want to thank everyone for all of your helpful posts! I am really looking forward to this vacation, but feeling a little bit in "information overload" mode! Your posts are really helping me to learn the ins & outs to make the most of our cruise!

So it looks like I missed out on the FE list, but I do want to make the most of decorating our stateroom door. I was reading other posts that seem to indicate that decorations can sometimes "grow legs and walk away". I was wondering if anyone has had this experience? I'm a scrapbooker, so I was planning on making some fun decorations, but I'd rather not invest the time if they're not going to come home with us...

Is there any other advice that you'd give to first time cruisers? We are travelling with 4 kids (ages 5 to 17), so I can use all the help I can get....thanks everyone!

Getting so excited!! Our cruise documents arrived yesterday. Just got an email that our Fish Extender has been shipped and should arrive in a few days. FE gifts are in process. Can't wait for some warm sunshine!!

Yes we are! It should be nice, but it's gonna be really small since only 2 people are coming with us. I can't wait to get away for a bit! If only it was April!

Funny - I didn't get a notification of new posts to this thread. I have been wondering how can that be now that the docs have been mailed. Silly me, I should have known better -just a glitch with the notifications I guess.

I decided to take some of MilliePie's great journal pages and send them to Walmart Photo and created a photo book with them. A small gift for my DD and our friends kids that will be cruising with us. I received my "test" book yesterday - it came out very nice - but now I realize they will need to fill it out with a photo pen/marker. Not much room for error to erase with that. I'm wondering if I should scrap that idea and just print out on paper and make a journal myself........

Also, part of my FE gifts have been ordered - they just need to come in so I can make them.

I notice many of you are purchasing FE's.......we have yet to buy one (or worse yet make one - because I wouldn't even know where to start). For those of you like me.....for past cruises and this one we just got a medium white craft bag and decorated it. It works great. It is sturdy and can hold alot.

Also....to answer the question about door magnets walking.....yes, they sometimes do. I would think that if your cabin is in a high traffic area (like next to a stairwell) then it is more likely. But, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Keep it simple.

Six Cruises and I've never had anything walk off my door! I have these Pirate head magnates too and felt for sure some boys would snatch them. It's never happened.

Amazing how cruise docs have changed over the years! This booklet is so much thinner and nicer than anything they've done in the past.

Disney always does it right In happy it's a smaller booklet. Easier to stow away in the purse. They think of everything.

Usually gorgeous and hot , but if the wind kicks up, swimming can be really choppy for the kids.
