I was wondering how crowds will be for April 12th-17th - Is Spring Break over?

there are some areas where their spring break will be in april.

hope you won't be running into any crowd issues when you are at the dark side.

What month would be the slowest?

probably end of April, early to mid May, September, early to mid November come to mind right away.

i'm sure there are more time periods that have okay crowd levels.

some days of the week will have less people in the parks.
in May, many school groups do field trips on fridays.

if weather is great, many locals come for the weekend.
i see more crowds in the parks on saturdays.

special events will add to the numbers going to the park.
the darkside starts mardi gras in early february for performances on the weekend.


i've only been to the darkside in April after the 20th and found no issues with crowds.



before harry potter, i was good at judging crowded time periods in the parks.
now with potter bringing in crowds, there are still periods of low to decent crowds.


the only months i have not been to the parks are november and december.
i thought january would have lower crowds but when i went this year January 9th for the start of my stay there, ran into many large touring groups.


check the UO site for the cost of express passes.
if the dates you put in are over $69.99 for one day one park, it's an indicator of some crowds in the parks.
