Hello everyone! My family is joining you on this cruise. There wasn't a thread started when I first booked it (day 1) but I figured I'd let someone else start the thread this time since I started threads for the last 2 cruises we took... yes, we plan VERY far in advance

This will be our 6th Disney cruise. We are staying in 2 connecting inside staterooms this time - going to miss our verandah, but the kids are getting so old that we will be on top of each other if we share a cabin.

It will be:
Joy (me)
Scott (DH)
Nick (DS - almost 15 at time of sailing)
Sarah (DD - almost 12 at time of sailing)

We are IN for the FE - they're always so fun.

I am going to jump on the Facebook group since I'm always on FB anyway. See you all soon!

Myself, Yelena, DH, DD (13 at the time of cruising)

We booked on the opening night and i kept checking Disboards for our roll call and i was getting nervous we were by ourselves We just came back from the cruise on Celebrity and we are going through PCD = Post Cruise Depression... And it was explained to me that "the only cure is another cruise...or researching and booking another cruise and then posting on boards" And i checked again and i was so pleasantly surprised to see our roll call so active !!!

Hey all! I re-booked on my last Fantasy cruise December 1st. I adored this ship! We were actually able to upgrade at the port to concierge! It was a BIG mistake. I am spoiled now! But we booked room 10100. Hoping to upgrade again! Mainly because it will be right next door to the tween club (yes, I am an overprotective Mom)

It will be my 12 year old daughter at time of sailing, my Mom and I.

Is there an Fish Extender Exchange list yet? I was hoping to get in on that.

DH and I did this cruise last July for our honeymoon...now we are bring the whole family 3 DSs (17)(15)(turns 15 last day of cruise). Hoping that there will be lots of teens on the cruise to keep them occupied. So excited to return to the Fantasy!!!

We have quite a nice group growing here - especially since we are a year out! I took my Mom on the Fantasy this past December and I'm very excited to show it to my DH and DS! She is amazing as some of you know!

I believe that my kids will enjoy being in as many FE groups as possible but we will have to see how many that makes all together. I think breaking into groups is fine if need be and we will see how many we join based off that.

I agree I just got off the Disney Dream where I booked 2 rooms for the Fantasy 4-12--yeah! My point is we did FE on this past cruise and it was great with a small group but even with only 10 cabins involved I needed an extra suitcase to take home all the wonderful FE gifts! I would be overwhelmed with a huge FE group (judging from all the pages for a cruise over a year away, I'm sure it will be a large FE group!)

But I'm jumping ahead, let me introduce myself: I am a DVC member with twins who will be 10 when we cruise in April and a son who will be 15. Please add us to your roll call. Just off this years spring break trip (3nights just not enough!) already craving 2014 on the Fantasy! We are from Chicago. I put in a request to join your fb group!

That is what we did 2 connecting cabins and we will miss our balcony too
I am But after 3 nights with the 5 of us in 1 room A sacrifice had to be made! Maybe Jack and Nick will goto Vibe together?

Elizabeth (Golfnsuch on here) will be organizing the FE list. I believe she may be just getting back from a cruise so I'm sure she will catch up with us when she gets a chance.

Is anyone else besides me already thinking about their FE gifts??

We're still not altogether at our house from getting back from our cruise on Saturday. Still getting through laundry.... Ick!

Unfortunately, our cruise was not as "magical" as those in the past couple of years and given that next year would make 3 years in row to the same ports, DH is lobbying to skip next year and push our ressie out to 2015.

I'm bummed, but I see his point. If there is no way to change his mind over the next month or so, is there anyone out there who would like to be a backup for the FE group? I will definitely get things started this weekend with an email and the spreadsheet, I just don't want to leave everyone hanging if we do switch dates.

Hi Cathie Just a reminder that I was one that wanted to do a small FE group, not a large one. I don't think you have us down for the FE. I'm open to ideas Perhaps once we get more confirmed folks we can decide how to break into other groups since there are others also saying they prefer smaller groups now and some prefer several groups?

I'm starting to get ideas together and when I'm out shopping I find myself peeking for FE gifts

I hope your DH will change his mind Maybe he should talk to my DH - if you remember, he is NOT a dis- fan, not at all but ever since we got off Dream i have been dreaming of Fantasy and i will not get off his case until we sail on it. I really hope to meet with you again
Why was it not as "magical"? is it because kids are grown up? I felt it when we sailed on Dream - K was out of "princesses age" and some magic was lost because of it.

I can do it- I've coordinated on 2 of our past cruises and I can set everything up through a formserver on one of my websites to collect the data needed to put the info together.

We are waiting on calendars for our schools too... but we always have the week before Easter for spring break so I don't think that will change.

What I'm waiting on is the last day of school for next year, as I'm planning a trip for my Girl Scout troop to go down to Disneyland for the Youth Leadership program, and we'd like to go as soon as school ends (last week of May or first week of June) before the summer crowds.

I haven't actually booked yet, but I have gotten the ok from hubby. I am just being cautious until DH's job interview this week. I want to make sure he'll have enough leave.

This is our first time ever on a cruise, DCL or otherwise. It will be myself, DH, DS (11 at cruise time), and DD (8 at cruise time). This will be our spring break. I'm a type-A planner, so I have already started researching. DH, who once said he would never-ever cruise, is getting in to it. My kids are super-stoked after I showed them pictures of the ship and its amenities online.

My kids are also extremely excited about cruising on the Fantasy. However, they don't realize that we are going next year...they believe it is two years away. They will get to find out at Christmas this year that we will be going for spring break, mean parents that we are.

My wife and I have gone on 2 Disney cruises before we had kids and are looking forward to the new ship. We just can't wait to get on board. I am sure that your entire family will want to go again after this one is over.

Count us in for the fish extender. I have 2 boys who will be excited to deliver their gifts. They will be 9 and 6. My husband thinks it is funny that I am planning so far in advance. Just got home yesterday from 9 nights in DW. The boys don't understand why we have to wait till next Feb to return. I taught them well! Just love family time in Disney!

Hopefully i have a good news for you: If Michelle is still in HS when she turns 18, they will allow her to be in the club (at least that WAS the rule when our DS was 18, 12th grade in HS, on Disney Magic). So, she might be able to go to the clubs one more year
Our DD, Katya, is 12 and she will be 13 at the cruise time. Hopefully, Laura will join a thread created for kids and they will get to know each other prior to cruising.
