Deb,

You're going to think we are stalking you; dh and I are signed up thru DCL for the regatta and are planning to just do the tram thing then back to the ship.

Kat,

I saw your pirate outfit and loved it on ebay, I'm looking at a slightly different one. I like the pirate wench look.

On formal night we have Palo ressies, I have a coral/orange mid calf length beaded halter dress and dh will have a suit. Semi night I'm either wearing a pant suit or black jersey dress.

I'm with you all, sitting relaxing reading drinking on verandah and some spa time as well. I do plan on hanging out at quiet cove pool. Does the Magic have the nice lounges like the Wonder or does that come after dry dock?

Too funny Kim---we will have a blast on the regatta. My 13 year old is doing it too. She'll be the one freaked at the back probably with the stopwatch. LOL! We are also in Palo on formal night. It beats getting dressed up twice.

They have a coffee lounge just for adults. It is usually slightly on the dark side, but it is always non-crowded. I usually go in there for internet access.

Can I get everyone's opinion on something?

For formal night, we are getting tuxes from onboard and my daughter is wearing a light pink dress. I am NOT wearing a pink dress, but I do want to match in colors. I have a floor length black dress with some rhinestone accents in the front, but it's a very thin velvet.

Is velvet in April ok? It's not heavy, so I won't mind wearing it but is it ok??

kat

Kat,
My daughter is not big into dresses, and I had her pick out the ones she wanted so I know she will wear them. She picked out two dresses that are light velvet. I personally think velvet is ok. I do not like the feel of it (I'm strange I know), so I do not wear it, but if I did wear it and had a light velvet like hers I would wear it on the cruise.
As it is I am wearing a dress that has a long sleeve jacket that goes over it, but it is also a light material.

Hope this helps! :)

Cindy,

Do you have a pic of what Lou is wearing for Pirate night?

I'm hoping Gabi wants to wear the same one as last time but I doubt it ... you know how kids are ... gotta have new stuff all the darn time.

i just came across this post on the main boards and hope it's ok to repost it. i just LOVE stuff like this ... it actually makes me all teary-eyed just listening to it!!!

Hi all,

Incase you were interested I have posted a vid from my Haloween cruise on you tube. Unfortunately due to tropical storm Noel we didn't make CC, but the one concilation was seeing the 2 beautiful ships side by side.

I managed to record most of the horns between the 2 ships on my camera.

Enjoy!

Kat thats funny I saw the same thing on youtube!!!! very cool. I don't have a picture of Lou's costume but it is a black shirt and I still have to find the pants part. He is going to wear the bandana. I still have to find something for Amanda and Louie too!

i can not figure out how to attach photo's from photo bucket to my messages. Any help.
thanks

Ro,

Once you have uploaded into Photobucket, find the photo that you would like to share and open it. At the bottom, it gives you a few different codes that you will need to copy and paste into your message body.

You want to grab the image code, which is usually at the bottom. Simply paste that image code into the body of your message and then preview to make sure it works.

I remember being sooooo hot in that ... my legs were sweating and it was a little hard to dance in so this year I am getting a pants outfit.

and I'm getting super excited too, lol

I am a little late--but light velvet should be great. Remember, April nights can still be a little chilly out on the water---especially with a little wind blowing.

Deb

I just booked the April 12 cruise this morning :) I am so very excited. I am going with my Mom. We usually do WDW every two years so this will be a first.

Has anyone booked a meet for this trip yet?

I thought some of you might be interested in this info I found...

In St. Maarten, RC Liberty Of The Seas and the Sea Princess will be in port with us.

In St. Thomas, Carnival Victory, Costa Mediterranea, RC Explorer Of The Seas, Celebrity Millennium, and the Sea Princess will be in port with us.

Given all those ships in port with us in St. Thomas, does that mean we will tender in? How does DCL tender into St. Thomas?

I believe we will all fit on the docks at St. Thomas---think parallel parking. LOL! If I'm not mistaken, the ships are stacked two by two on the piers. I think I am remembering right. One time, our cabin face another cruise ship. They can fit up to 6 docking ships--then the rest have to anchor.

They all come and go at about the same time. It is worth getting up early to see it. For those of us in conierge---I believe that is our concierge party. Don't miss it. The drinks are actually full strength and the appetizers are actually pretty good. And remember your camera----usually Mickey shows up briefly.
